I honestly don’t think I could have gotten married without this team. John and Nikki, seriously, I cannot thank you enough. You made planning our wedding fun and stress free. The food, timing, organization of the day was perfect and we had the best time working with you. So many of our guests raved about the food and the overall smoothness of the day and I know its because I had John and Nikki leading the way. These two are stand outs in their industry. They will make you feel like family. If you get the chance to work with them consider yourselves lucky, because they are the best.

John & Nikki. I honestly don’t know where to begin. First and foremost, with all the choices that we made during the process of planning our wedding on the North Fork, choosing our caterer was easy. We were deciding between a few caterers and had a tasting with the Perry’s that just sealed the deal. My (now) husband and I walked out of there saying it felt like we just had lunch with our aunt & uncle, it felt like we had known them that long! They are two amazingly warm people — of course it helps that John is incredibly organized and good at his job and that Nikki makes the most delicious bites. We devoured every little last bite at that tasting. Nothing went to waste!
John was so helpful with everything leading up to the day of as well, from picking out rentals, to working out our timeline. We decided to have a different format (cocktail stations as opposed to a formal sit-​down dinner) and working together, John helped us make sure we’d have a smooth flow and that everything would go off without a hitch. As we were working out the details with the rentals, I never felt like he was pushing me one way or the other — even when he put together the list of kitchen items they’d need (my venue did not provide any set-​up), I knew he was being careful about not over-​ordering. I really felt like he had my best interests in mind at all times. Having him to coordinate all the details made me feel at ease. I knew I was in good hands!
On our actual wedding day, we were so well taken care of. The staff made sure we were eating (haha, doesn’t always happen at weddings!) and everything ran so smoothly. Later in the evening, a very traumatic family emergency happened during the reception that put a frightening pause on the celebration. John was a rock and I really felt like I looked to him for the «What now?»
John & Nikki were different from some of our other vendors with whom we’ll probably not be in touch again. I feel like we’ll be sending John & Nikki Christmas cards for years to come. :) They embraced us and made us feel like family, and I’m certain they will you too.

John and Nikki were absolutely without question amazing to work with! A year later our mouths still water when thinking about Nikki’s burrata appetizer. John and Nikki made themselves constantly available to myself, my husband, and my family. Any questions we had, any time we wanted to go back to the party rental place because we just weren’t positive, John was ready, willing, and able. (and i do believe we visited the rental place at least 4 times!)
The day of was flawless! Everything ran as though my wedding was a performance, from the ceremony to the cake serving, all was timed out to ensure every aspect of our wedding was given it’s full attention. To this day, over a year later, guests are still raving about the food and the décor! This is all attributed to John’s ability to work so well with the other vendors (band, florist, venue). My husband and I can’t wait for the day when we can hire and work with John and Nikki again.
They are truly the best!!!

I can’t recommend John and Nikki highly enough. Our wedding guests raved about the food and the execution was flawless. They are more than just caterers — they will help plan and coordinate anything you need, and we couldn’t have done it without them. They’re organized, responsive, knowledgeable, professional, and just genuinely good people. We want to host another event just to have an opportunity to work with them again!

The Perrys are the best! Professional, courteous, detailed, and just plain easy to work with. We spent a big part of our 1^st wedding anniversary reminiscing about all the wonderful moments and details of our special day — it truly was incredible and we have them to thank for it! We always felt like they’re first priority. Moreover, while we learned that some things can go awry at weddings, John and Nikki handled our wedding flawlessly — including our overeager best man starting his speech a course early. They just made everything so much easier and we truly thank them from the bottom of our hearts! We would HAPPILY refer them to any couples planning weddings in the North Fork or Hamptons!

When looking for wedding caterers, we sampled and interviewed with several popular caterers in the Hamptons. Catering by A Small Affair won our support through extremely personalized service and the quality and inventiveness of their food. On the big day, they completely delivered.
John and Nikki, the husband and wife owners, understand the stakes with wedding catering. They do a great job of striking the right balance between wedding coach, chef, and event planner. From day one, we knew we were in great hands and always felt that they cared about the event as much as we did. We found that John and Nikki were also excellent at teaming with other wedding service providers (e.g,. florists, band/​DJ, officiant), which made our job a breeze.
As for the food! — It stole the show. We go to many catered events on the East End and believe that they are the best.

So I can pretty much guarantee I was the most pain in the ass client of all time. My event had everything that would make a regular event planner tear out their hair. Seating? Let’s leave it open! Entrees? Let’s have four! Oh did I mention we have a whole Kosher contingency and some vegans? By the way this can’t be buffet style… So can you work with that?
And you know what? They did. John and Nikki executed the entire thing with grace, navigated working with a Glatt Kosher caterer with ease, and as a bonus I got to enjoy food that I can fully admit was better than anything I’ve eaten at the top restaurants in NYC. I don’t even eat red meat but I still dream of the incredible filet Nikki made. (Oh and the fish, and the cheese stuffed chicken, and the butternut squash ravioli — did I mention we had FOUR entrees?)
Aside from the day-​of food menagerie, John was with us very step of the way. He thought of all those little details and walked us through the rental place when I was totally lost and overwhelmed.
Oh did I forget to mention I have a crazy family that changed their minds every 10 seconds? They worked with that too.
These guys are the ultimate pros. I wish I knew 75 people so I could have them cater more often. I’m still dreaming of that steak.

We had a tough time with them. The food was good but when it arrived on our plates, it wasn’t what we’d agreed to serve. Throughout the wedding planning process they were helpful but often unresponsive and even rude. Despite their experience, they had a hard time keeping our wedding details straight and generally made us feel like an afterthought.

AMAZING. Treats his events as his own. Recently had a very complicated wedding and while he probably got very little sleep in the upcoming days, our wedding was flawless. Not to mention that Nikki’s food is outstanding. Highly recommended.
