I go here at least once a month. Amazing chicken escarole soup. Awesome stuffies on special. The Cleopatra sandwich is fantastic. The calamari is also very good if you enjoy Rhode Island style with hot pepper rings. Service is always good. People might be tempted to go to someplace fancy on Federal Hill for«authentic Italian» and that’s cool, but trust me many, many first generation Italians go here for a delicious and affordable meal with their family.

One of the best pizza’s I’ve had, and I’m picky. I love a crunchy crust, so I order it well done. Don’t even bother with the small, just get the large sheet pizza. Pro tip: Go with bacon for a topping.

I’ve eaten here many times, but never reviewed this place. I’ve never had a bad meal here. The atmosphere is dated, it’s not a fancy place. The pizza is very good, Italian style, not Greek. On this trip, my veal Parmesan was a bit tough. We had stuffed peppers also, they were very good. EXCELLENT antipasto salads here, also. You always get fresh Italian bread, you don’t have to ask. Service was very good. My tip? Get an antipasto salad, ask for anchovies if you like them… it’s a nice dish!

I was there on a friday and was in the mood for a fish and chip so ordered it and it comes out with what looked like this big piece of fish but unfortunately it was a smaller piece of fish with a huge amount of batter deep fried… It was awful and the fish inside the batter was barely cooked. I wound up eating just the fries. Cut back on amount of batter you fry your fish in. My bad for ordering seafood at an italian restaurant! Have had mostly good meals here but this was not so good.

Went there for the first time and will be back soon. The atmosphere was so cool with all of pictures and things on the walls. They even have the old fashion juke boxes at each table and they still work! I really liked the high backed benches at each table, which gives you a little more privacy and limits the amount of noise from other tables. The service was terrific and the draft beer ice cold, which is the way it should be. The parking can be tricky given the limited amount of spots. We had pizza, which is now near the top of my favorites list. Some of the other dishes looked great, so we’ll have to go again and try something different. The only real knock I have is that there isn’t an actual bar to sit at. Not a deal breaker, but it is nice to watch sports at a bar while eating.

I can’t rave about their pizza anymore. It’s thick and are huge slices. Everything tastes so fresh and handmade. Well worth price. Not a huge fan of their meat sauce for pasta, I just feel it’s a little salty and chunky for me, while my dad loved it. So depends on what you prefer. Their seafood seafood scrod is delicious and extremely filling. It has scallops and shrimp stuffed in it, truly amazing. One big seafood yum. They also give you some Italian bread to eat it with. Their chicer Alfredo was alright, not that great. So I will definitely stick with what’s good: pizza and scrod. Will try to sample some of the other worthy dishes.

I have gone to Uncle Tony’s a few times and lately I’ve been getting take out from there, but this time I went with my mother for a quick bite and to try their famous Plumpy. The Plumpy is their spinach pie which was very delicious! We decided to split one because they are a good size and one each might have been too big for us to finished. I would definitely recommend ordering this if you have no tried it. They even have them on the take out side not baked so you can bring home and make yourself– considering that I like doing taking out from here I will definitely be going back for a Plumpy!

This is more like a 3.5 star pizza place for me; rounding up for ambiance. The vibe here is really traditional – big wooden booths with juke boxes at each table, loaded with classic rock and pop. Appetizers are very solid — fried ravioli and mozzarella sticks were both excellent. The pizza is, I guess I would say, not my cup of tea; I prefer thinner crust. It’s a thick, doughy crust that you can order rare, medium, or well. I went for medium — next time I’d go for well for a bit more crunch. Toppings were solid, and it’s a fun spot! Beer and wine only.

Ahhh Uncle Tony’s. A staple of the Rhode Islander diet. I know it is your standard Italian fare but the key is I keep coming back to UT’s. Why? You walk in there and it truly feels like that local Italian restaurant. Great service and huge portions of pasta. The local ads for Uncle Tony’s really don’t lie, they deliver on what you really want for just great Italian comfort food. They are great for take out too, very fast only had to wait 15 minutes when I ordered right there at the counter. This particular location is in the area of chain restaurant city, but take the time and head to a RI institution, you won’t regret it.

Uncle Tony’s, a Rhode Island staple. I absolutely adore this restaurant. Not for just great Italian food, but for great service all around! I have never been disappointed with any of my UT visits, and I ALWAYS recommend this place to people out of state, in state, you name it… Uncle Tony’s will always have my service. This is a great«family» restaurant with mellow vibes. Going with one other person, I always split the Baked Ziti(yum!) and have a large enough portion to take home/feed another person. I’ve only tried the dessert once, but if boxed ice cream pie/cake is your style, go for it! I’ve never been disappointed with service, but I do find myself whispering because it’s so quiet/no music is on. Oh well. Highly recommend Uncle Tony’s(and their Fried Raviolis!)

We had the minestrone soup that was really good. The salad was a good size, they give bread to start with warm and some butter. Main entrée the pizza was perfectly cooked to a nice crispy edge, eggplant Parmesan was OK. The eggplant was really thinly cut so it didn’t taste much like eggplant, the meat sauce they make is divine. The ravioli plate was the worst we had. They don’t salt the water they boil the pasta in ?? The cheese inside was just cheese absolutely no flavor to it which ruined the entire experience. For an Italian restaurant it was weird that they didn’t have dessert just a cookie ice cream…

Best, BEST home-style Italian food in Rhode Island! And that’s a bold statement, I know! The menu is awesome. Don’t expect plain Ragu sauce! Almost everything is home-made, from the meat gravy to the Parmesan/Romano cheese that they grate themselves. I love that it’s family owned, and all of the real family are shown in old and new photos on the walls. The décor makes you feel very comfortable and at home. I look forward to coming home to RI to have dinner here. The staff is always very friendly and they make you feel like you’re part of the family. Many of them have worked there for many years. The owner and managers are always around to say hello and check how your meal was. You can tell they really care about their restaurant. 5 stars!

This is one of those old chain restaurants in the pizza is amazing and really thick takes about a half an hour to make it it’s going to run you over 20 bucks but worth the price. Has that old school charm, booths have a jukebox system, I have a cooler in there takeout area where you can buy their sauce or meatballs etc. for takeout. The staffs pretty decent. It’s very casual and if you like pizza it’s worth a look

Went again last night with the in laws. Excellent and friendly service from the host to the waitress. Fish and chips, a chicken parm dinner, veal parm dinner and I finally tried the grilled chicken over fettuccine Alfredo. It was delicious! Seasoned grilled chicken breast over a cream, butter and ricotta cheese Alfredo sauce. Perfectly cooked pasta. I even brought a small portion home. One of the few places that still slaps a full basket of white bread with butter on the table for you… you know it’s bad, but your going to eat it. all! Always entertaining are the small table top juke boxes with an odd assortment of oldies and some not so new — newbies. Bring your quarters! Everyone left full and happy so I would say, success!

Uncle Tony’s is a Rhode Island staple for a reason. My family and our friends have loved it here for as long as I can remember but after my grandmother moved out of Pawtucket, we haven’t been back much since. I remember spending father daughter date nights as a little kid, so excited to play DJ and pick the next song on our booth’s personal juke box. I went back to pick up pizza last Sunday for the game and found Uncle Tony’s to be the same. The same décor, same juke boxes, same signage, same pizza. It was awesome! The pizza is the show stealer, the rest nostalgia. I love the tangy, yet sweet tomato sauce and the perfectly crisp cheese on top. Limited toppings mean better toppings, people. Now that I’ve been reminded of just how good this place is, I know I’ll be back for more and it’ll be much sooner than later.

Great old school RI joint where food is simple and delicious. The service from everyone we encountered, from the waitress to the take out counter girl, was very attentive and friendly. We tried two different pizzas and really loved the crust. One tip — if you like a crunchy crust, ask them for well done. It won’t come out even close to burned, just perfectly crispy. One of my favorite things about visiting this place is the juke box at every table. Lots of oldies and classic rock songs to entertain you while you wait for your dinner. As I walked out of the restaurant, I saw a large display with photos of employees who had been with them for 5 and 10 years. You can tell that people really do become vested in their jobs here, and that’s a great sign of a lasting, quality establishment.
