Riccotti’s Pizza & Subs

Cant believe what I saw. I’m no genius but I do believe the laws in rhode island change along time ago. Can you believe the owner of the establishment was smoking a cigarette behind the counter during business hours, me either but believe it. Not only was I shocked and appalled I was down right disgusted to believe the fact that he was smoking indoors so close to the food and not even trying to hide it.

Really annoyed… craving a steak and cheese with onion rings all week so decided takeout for my birthday dinner was the way to go… nice and easy… we usually go to this place at least once a week last few times have not been good, but we really like the owner so always like to give another chance, now they cant even get an order right… steak n cheese, mushroom n onion toasted, first it’s not toasted like ordered and it’s pretty much all onion no steak (the few pieces of steak I did get I had to be spit out because it was all grissle) and a sprinkle of canned mushrooms… also the onion rings we ordered tasted like they were right out of a freezer bag and they weren’t edible, but they are totally different from the last ones we ordered which were different from the ones we ordered before that, pick a brand and stick with it or make them probably cheaper then buying the frozen ones… quality is inconsistent, hours are inconsistent… also it wasnt just me… my husbands italian was all onions and lettuce barely any meat or cheese and the few slices of meat he had were completely see through they were sliced so thin… finally calling it quits on riccottis, farewell you were good for a while but there are too many other options that will be more dependable to continue giving you another shot over and over again. At this point id say go somewhere else if your looking to have subs for dinner… over $ 30 we should have just gone out for my birthday.

This place used to be fantastic years back. Now they are over priced and put very little on the subs. The seafood salad sub was the worst I have ever had. I ended up throwing it out. I found with all the huge crunchy pieces of peppercorns, it was inedible. We were extremely disappointed. We will NOT be going back again!

I have been here several times with my family and the employees are rude, one of the older women gave me the worst attitude when I told her my sandwich was wrong and another doesn’t speak English. The place always reeks of smoke and I have seen the owner smoking at the front counter more than once. The food is awful. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Sent my wife in to get an Italian grinder and the bread was stale, and the meats and tomato were finely sliced you could hardly taste it thru the bread. We used to like that place under the former owners but will never go back. I don’t care for Subway either but at least Subway will give you more meats.

The pizza crust is so good and the sandwiches are stuffed and you get your $ worth.
Employees are friendly and very accommodating if you want something made a certain way.,
