I really wanted to like this restaurant. However it was disappointment. Our server was very good. The food was subpar. Tuna and salmon were both over cooked, fishy tasting, and had a weird texture like they were low-grade. I had considered ordering the steamed clam appetizer special thank goodness I avoided that because it was probably even more terrible than the salmon and tuna. Usually whenever a rate a restaurant poorly it is because of service. That is actually not the case at Chancys. The service is very good the food is awful.

My son holds a party here twice a year and we also eat here on occasion when we visit from Florida. The food is great. At the catered events, Greg(the owner) always stops in to say hello and make sure we are happy. The chicken with peppers and onions is one of my favorites. A great place for dinner also. You can always count on good service and friendly staff. At the party events everyone rants about the stuffed mushrooms…

Good pub feel. Really good food. I had the Shepherd’s pie… really great. Wonderful flavor. Wife had the Chicken stuff with crab and spinach. Awesome! Also, big enough that she eat it again tomorrow. If your there on a fall Sunday… and in the pub, you’ll hear local fans root and holler for their team. Which in my book is a plus too.

This is your classic neighborhood bar, with a great selection of drinks on tap. There is a great sense of community here, but it is not a locals only place. The menu is unique and not your normal neighborhood bar menu. You can get tour normal hamburger, but why bother with an excellent selection of seafood and several course dinners.

If you’re not too picky and looking for a local bar this place may impress. Good selection of country music blaring.

What a pleasant surprise! Just got into town yesterday afternoon for a wedding… From out of town and was looking for a place that reminded me of my small town Chester County roots, someplace casual where my southern-born husband and I(now in NC for 20 years) could relax and enjoy the local food and sights. If we lived nearby, this would certainly be one of our local go-to spots. Good service, well made drinks, cool historic building. Loved the olive tapenade with the fresh rolls. My husband got the prime rib and really enjoyed it, got nice hot horseradish too! I got the 6 oz filet and crab cake. The filet was good, nothing special but cooked a proper medium rare. The crab cake was a real surprise. More crab than filler and well-spiced. No tartar or cocktail sauce needed. We have 2 more nights here locally so we may be back. Glad we found it!

Had lunch her with a friend. I ordered the Baltimore burger. It was ok but not worth $ 9.95. The burger was dry and the crab topping was underwhelming. I had the baked chili which was good. Server was friendly and the service was prompt. Atmosphere was attractive. Ample off street parking and ADA compliant.

Sat at the bar. Great service always tending to whatever I needed. Went with 2 specials: crab corn chowder and beef filet tornadoes. Soup was very tasty but wish it was tad bit thicker. Beef was exceptional. I lowered my expectations thinking«I’m sitting at the bar getting a steak dish that’s $ 19». The beef was prepared perfectly and the topping was outstanding with a little heat. Really surprised me. Debated ordering another(portion was smallish but was perfect at the price soon complaints). PLEASENOTE: using the Unilocal map got me lost. Use the address and your car or phone GPS.

well I have to admit that I am a regular, but the staff are fantastic, and the food is good and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the Kobe burger, ask for it on a Brioche roll. The Fresh cut fries are banging and the house Cheesy chicken jalapeño soup is delicious.

One of the bitchy bartenders on the weekdays just looks pissed all the time. she is just bitter with life and takes it out on the patrons. dont f*@#$^# deal with her. go on the weekends and ask for matt. dont just be nice to the regulars if you want to last as a business here in east pete, hes way better, funnier and makes your drinks perfectly.

Good beers and good food. Place is nice to go with friends at the bar or with family on the other side. Service is really great and kids friendly. The pub being 2 blocks from our place, we will definitely come back. Had a great bruchetta with tomatoes, onions and crab lumb. My baltimore burger was a bit too overcooked but meat was good. French fries were home made and really good.

This bar and restaurant is a hidden gem! I was impressed by the very strong Cosmo, the perfectly prepared filet mignon, and the irreverent Irish pub feel of smaller rooms with cozy corners. Service was great and menu enough to please everyone at your gathering.

Food is good. Ask for Kaila. Best. Server. Ever. Had the crab cakes — light, airy, good. Only recommendation, add more seasonal veggies and fruit and not so much fries.

This little pub has seen better days. It used to be a very good place but as of late it has gone downhill quickly. The food is way over priced for the quality, even the«Specials» are pricy. Their beer selection is all big beers, no craft(at least in draft) and again, over priced. Never a happy hour or any kind of beer specials is also very disappointing. Cool atmosphere though and the bar is really nice. Has potential with a couple of fixes, for sure!

Always a great place for some drinks and snacking! Their menu is a little too large, and I have had some bad and a bunch of good food here. Service can be a little slow, but they do get packed at times!

This is a great bar with way above average pub food. There is a huge menu which usually leads to some inconsistency but these guys seem to nail everything. On top of that, there is always a quesadilla and panini of the day which are delicious. Huge portions and friendly staff make this one of the best bars in the area.

I am in the area for work a few times per month and I always go to Chancey’s. They have a large menu that will satisfy everyone in the group. You can either sit at the bar, at tables in the bar area, or in a separate dining are away from the bar. Their blue crab stuffed Ravioli is one of my favorites. The flat bread pizza is very good and Wednesday is wing night with 12 wings for $ 4.95. The other customers are very friendly and it is easy to strike up a conversation with someone. Service is excellent as well.

Haven’t had the food here, but it’s a great place to go for happy hour due to the reasonably priced beer and attentive bartenders.
