I have been going to the Monroe in East Orange, NJ for several years now and today was the absolute worse customer service I have serve received. Both online and on the door it states that the hours of operation are 7:30AM — 6:00PM. Today I got to the store at 7:25AM. I waited until 7:40AM and left to drop my child at summer camp since no one showed up to open the store. By the time I returned it was 8:02AM.
I should have took the fact that they did not open on time as a sign and not return that day but I needed to get my brake pad changed. After returning to the store I stood at the front desk waiting and waiting and waiting for almost 10 mins before someone came and assisted me. I have never waited more than a minute at that desk before and I thought it was odd. I explained to him that at my last oil change I requested to have the brakes changed but the store manager stated that I can drive with the brake pad for another 4 months or so. Wells its almost 5 months so I would like to have it changed today please. He took my keys and he left.
At the time that I returned to the store there were 3 people before me. By 8:30 2 of the 3 were taken care of and left. A lady came in after myself, not sure what service she needed but he took key and started working on her car before mine. I said nothing. At 8:55AM another woman comes in and they started looking at that woman’s car before mine. At this point I go to the guy that took my key and ask that it be returned to me. He stated that they would start looking at my car in the next 2 mins. He also stated that I can’t come there and expect to be seen right away. Why am I rushing? I explained to the guy that I have to go to work and I was here early this morning. Instead of apologizing for being late. He stated that they don’t open the store until 7:45AM anyway. If that’s the case then the sign on the door and the hours of operations online should be changed to 7:45AM instead of 7:30AM. He procided to speak to me as if he was do favor instead of me paying for a service.
Because he stated that it would be 2 mins I went back in and sat down, only to wait until 9:12AM to be finally told that it would take an hour and a half by the mechanic. This after the assistant store manager told me it was a 5 minute job. He then told the mechanic he gave me the time it would take to check the brakes. I did not ask for the brakes to be checked I asked for them to be changed. hence anytime frame should be based on the job that I requested. I took my keys and left. A complete waste of 2 hours. I will be taking my services to Firestone from now on.

The worse. I had a wheel bearing and hub replaced in the Middletown NY location. it went bad again bought it to this location and they tried to tell me it was another problem when I waa clearly told it was the hub bearing from Midas. do not bring your car here. They are incompetent and lazy.
