D & K Buffet

NO STARS!!! I want to give this place no stars, but that’s the way Unilocal works. STAY AWAY. Horrid food, greasy, cold. Some things weirdly indistinguishable, what did I eat??? I would rather go to McD’s and that’s saying a lot. The only thing I could stomach was some lettuce. My dinner companion, who eats and enjoys almost anything even said it was just bad. I was afraid to check out the bathroom.

Will not return the food is horrible always cold because the food isn’t being turned over. Service doesn’t get any better the price for the food selection is blahhh! The cleanliness of this place sucks as well plus they need to upgrade almost everything. Last time I went which was my last a lady begging for change was too close to food. Grossed Keep ur money or go spend it at the nearest buffet in West Orange in the Plaza by the Shoprite and the Theaters

tha food was kinda cold but when your hungry you’ll eat anything I didn’t complain maybe me and my girlfriend went at a bad time but I did enjoyed our stay

I Gotta say tho I Love their drinks much better than their food and their bathroom is also very clean I’ll give them Good ratings fr tht

DO NOT EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT ! My boyfriend and I decided to go in to get a quick lunch and while we were eating A ROACH RAN ACROSS OUR TABLE!!! We ran out of there so fast, I left my phone in the booth and later returned to retrieve it. Yes, this place in inexpensive BUT ITS NOT WORTH IT. This place is absolutely filthy. I should have known better than to go there, even the décor and exterior of this place looks run down.

Seriously though. if you were thinking about this — please go someplace else… Its horrible– the food is oily and not refreshed often enough…
The restaurant itself is dirty and antiquated in décor. The staff is on their bare minimum — barely taking away plates or refilling your drinks in time. Even at dinner I was not impressed… not many options. this is more of a chicken buffet– because you will not really fill comfortable eating anything else…
Just do go. drive some place else… its just not worth the money your basically just throwing out… your gonna want to upchuck as soon as you leave here.

Nice place to eat a Buffet meal. Lunch for $ 6.50 Dinner about $ 9.00 I had gone there quite often and find the food to be usually very good. If anyone complains it may be they are used to McDonalds, Wendys or Burger King Yuk! They have a variety of nutritional foods and even the water taste good. I give them $ 2.00 when Im with a guess. I first gave them a 4 but they make every effort to have a pleasant day. If they don’t get to you that moment its because a lot of people are there at times. There is alot of parking in a big lot as well as street parking. You help yourself to what you want and than sit back and relax. Lots of foods to choose as well as many desserts. I would recommend it for anybodyeven birthday parties as well.

A friend of mine had a roach in her food and needless to say I never went back. They place is out dated and dirty. Smh.

Wish I could give this place a o.5 star… this place has made me make a resolution. No more Chinese buffets. Nothing here tasted decent, I mean nothing. Of course what can one expect for $ 6 buffet? Want to erase this experience from my memory for sure.

Carpet makes the place smell horrible surprisely the food tastes good. Most people take it to go but its sold by the pound so it can get expensive. But i won’t go back, if you can’t clean you carpet in the dining area or replace it what is the condition of the kitchen?! Disgusting…

I have been there my fair share of times due to the fast that this is the nearest buffet to my friends houses so I don’t really have a choice. Inside the building is hot and uncomfortable, and the it is usually dull. The seats need to be replaced, flooring is badly discolored, some of the food tastes like rubber with seasoning, and the desserts taste like diabetes with a sprinkle of sugar.

I only been here once. And did not like it so much. The food was okay. I remember my food being cold. They don’t refill the trays right away. I remember wanting one of the food choices but they just ran out. After 30 minutes of eating and talking with my friend, I went back to check. It was still empty. Just like the previous review says, the place is dark and dingy. This place tend to be crowded on Sunday afternoons.

Well, they did have variety, but when you have a good variety of bad food, does that deserve any props? American, Asian, Caribbean, they had it all! But it was all horribly done. Some dishes were edible, some were not, none were enjoyable… just tolerable at best.
The dining area was dark, dingy, and dated, even with all the natural light possibilities. A strong fishy smell dominated the buffet area, while a mild, musty, urine-​like stench lingered around the dining area. Being super Asian and having grown up with the stenches of Chinatowns, there’s a lot I can tolerate, but I’ll still complain about it.
Worst part of the dining experience:
The area’s local panhandler, Vicky, had bought a bit of food-​to-​go, but decided to sit down at the table next to us to eat. Just the day before, my GF and I were at another spot when Vicky attempted to panhandle. We bought her some chicken wings while we were picking up our food. No biggie. She didn’t remember us when she saw us at D&K Buffet. She attempted to panhandle again and was quite insistent since she had a comfortable seat next to ours. As you can see, we don’t ever hand out cash, but are sometimes willing to buy food. In this case, Vicky had her food! We informed the staff of the harassment. They came and looked at her, afraid to approach her. One woman finally asked her to leave. When Vicky refused, this woman looked at us, told us she told Vicky to leave when she finishes her meal, and then walks away. Now Vicky is pissed that we spoke to the staff about her and she can’t stop running her mouth, getting louder and angrier as she heard her own voice. When she finally got up, she went around to every table, asking for money. The staff stood there and looked at her, not bothered by the fact that the entire restaurant was being harassed during their meals.
