Vent Cleaning

From what I saw from my appointment this past weekend, this business is a a farce. I paid $ 150 for the service as I was told my Living Social voucher was worth nothing, and without paying, nothing could be done with my vents. I was put on hold three times today when I called to let them know their service was unacceptable and they didn’t want to listen to anything at all. However, the best way to make a difference with a company like this is to warn others. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. Also, they do not accept credit cards. I will also be contacting Living Social about this. Not a good scene. Not a good way to do business either.

Beware of this dubious business. They also advertise themselves on Amazon as Quality Home Air Duct Cleaning or Premium Air Duct. I got them on Amazon where they have a «deal» for a chimney sweep. They are rude, late, unprofessional and will try to bully you into paying more than the face value of your coupon. They come in an unmarked car, have multiple names for their «business» and no clear business location. Let them into your house at your own risk.

I also got a $ 49 Amazon deal and when the rep came to do the cleaning, he said there were multiple other lines and he wanted to charge me $ 700 extra and wanted it in cash! I told him there was no way I would pay that. He gave me «a deal» and took off some of the cost and said he cleaned every line. I ended up changing the vent filters myself. He tore a hole in one of my lines and then put tape on all 4 lines as if he had cleaned them all. I took the tape off and none of the other lines had been cleaned at all. They hadn’t even been entered. He just put the tape there to make me think he had done something! What a scam. He also scratched my floors with his hoses that he ran throughout the house to clean the vents. I gave him a check just to get him out of my house, planning to cancel the check ASAP. My bank wouldn’t let me cancel it without going through some red tape and by the time that happened, the company had cashed the check. Since it had been cashed, the bank said they could no longer do anything! I have called Vent Cleaning repeatedly and no one will return my call. This company is a complete SCAM!!! do not use them! I also notified Amazon to never accept a deal from this company again but I think they aren’t really a legitimate business anyway so they just keep operating under various names! Amazon was nice enough to refund the $ 49 I had spent on this garbage business but I would still like my money back from Vent Cleaning. Not holding my breath though so I will just continue to post reviews on every review site I can find to ensure others do not get scammed the way I did!

I got a $ 49 deal on Amazon local that included «Air duct cleaning including unlimited supply vents, one main and one return, plus dryer vent cleaning.» I have a 1500 square foot ranch with one central ac unit. I made the appointment and the woman on the phone told me that there would be additional charges if I had more than one return but it sounded from my description that I would be ok. The operator arrived right on time and was very nice. He checked out our unit and let us know that we had three ducts coming into the return and he could give us a break and charge that as just one additional return instead of two. He also told us that our air handler was dirty and needed to be cleaned and that was also not included but he would add a deodorizer at no extra charge. When he tallied up the «not included charges» it came to $ 300 extra. I asked him if he could do only what was included and he said he couldn’t because it would negagtively effect the other returns and could become blocked. When I told him that was too much he said he could do it for $ 270. So… it’s a negotiation? He left without perforning any services.
I’m not sure about the actual service because we never got that far.
