History
Established in 1983.
Gary Carmichael opened the business (in what was once the Durham Country Inn) with his high school basketball coach, Wally Camp. The menu evolved from primarily pizza and Italian food to the more eclectic offerings now featured. In 2005 the original building was destroyed by a fire, and 18 months later a rebuilt venue opened, with Gary and new partners Karen and Jack Castiglione. Still a friendly, small-town restaurant, the new Time Out has a more sophisticated look and a dining-oriented clientele.
