Green Country Service Heating and Cooling

From the time we put in the new furnace years ago until installing new fire logs this fall to keep my 90 year old Mom happy and warm, this company has been nothing but professional and easy to work with… service was always quick and prompt and they often go out of their way to make sure you are happy. We greatly appreciate their care of my Mom’s house and their polite and respectful service. They have always been fair in their pricing and maintenance. You couldn’t go wrong with this company, it is family owned and operated and we haven’t met one person working for them that wasn’t professional and knowledgeable. And always, they followed up to make sure the problem was resolved.

AC Unit went out on June 30^th on a hot day. I called 3 places all were at least a week out for Service. These guys fit me on on the same day. The technician Ted, arrived on time, and was prompt and courteous. My issue turned out to be a small one, he fixed it right away. Tested the system and reported no issues.
In summary, I’d use them again in a second! Thanks Green for getting back up and running quickly!

Amazing and professional service from start to finish. We had 3 HVAC companies come to the house to provide a quote for all new systems for our 1994 home. One company was 30 minutes late and had no attire on to let me know he was actually from the company I called… Green Country was a standout right away. Greg who quoted the work was so thorough he spent over 2 hours at the house before he even knew we were going to give his company the business. Once contracted, the workers came on time, took 2 days to complete the replacement of both units, cut in additional vents and cleaned up afterwords so it looked like they were never there! We could not be happier and i would recommend their services to anyone that will listen!

I choose to do business with this company after having negative experiences with other HSA vendors, and boy am I glad I did. The techs came in were very polite and professional. The supervisor came by to check the on the workers and was very pleasant. They completed the job of replacing the entire HVAC inside /​outside in 6 hours. The system is running pretty well and quietly.

In the summer of 2008, my Air Conditioning failed. Luckily the summers here in North Carolina are not too hot … kidding! It was 100 degrees every day that week.
I solicited bids from three different HVAC companies, these guys came in the lowest, by a few grand, and they did a great job, they did it in 2 days, and everything is still working three years later.

Anytime I am dealing with a service provider for my home I try to keep my expectations low. This is an area where it is easy to be disappointed. But regardless of my already low expectations, Green Country Service Heating and Cooling was even worse then I expected.
The defrost board went out on my Trane heater/​AC unit in the dead of winter. This has been a particularly cold winter in the triangle and is not a time you want your heater on the fritz. The state of my defrost board causes cold air from outside to blow into my home when the outside unit on the roof freezes. I noticed the unit was running more frequently, but we had below freezing temps on a nightly basis — I knew for sure there was a problem when my energy bill was double what it has ever been in the entire time I’ve lived here.
Green Country came and identified the problem nearly a month ago. Yes, a month ago and it still hasn’t been fixed. They have been unable to get the correct part in. They have scheduled appointment windows with me multiple times to come fix it — every time I sit around and wait the 2 – 3 hours and they call at the last minute to say «Whoops! The part is still not it. We’ll let you know when it is.» I am not amused. Every time I call the office I get the run around and no one knows the status of the part order.
In the meantime I am keeping my house at a balmy 61 degrees with the hope that my energy bill for the past 4 weeks isn’t double the usual again. This during a time where highs are in the 30s and lows are in the teens and 20s at night.
As of this morning, the part was «definitely in» and they were scheduled to be here between 8:30 — 9:30. I called at 9:30 on the dot when they still weren’t here and was told they were on their way. It is now 10:00 and there is no sign of them.
I am completely disgusted by the lack of customer care and consideration provided by this group. I will wait another 15 minutes before I go to work and pray that they show up for the sake of my energy costs this winter.
I am in a rental and this group was sent to my home by my landlady. I plan to discuss the on-​going situation with her and recommend that she let the others on the board of the HOA know the situation. I hope that no other people living in the 100+ units in my building are affected by this poor service and are able to avoid this group in the future.
Do yourself a favor and call another service provided in your area.
