Great service. Will definitely be my go to in the future. He came out the same day to look at our sudden onset rat nest… gave me a lot of ways to get started. Pinpointed where the likely culprit was starting (something we can’t control) and how to do things as quickly as possible with at home treatments first.
Very reasonable price. Will definitely be my go to for all future concerns. He also noticed we had ants starting up the side of our house and how to take care of that before it became a deeper issue… Definitely needs to be your very first call.

Knowledgeable and did not try to sell me something that would not work. I’ll take a knowledgeable and honest service person — who refuses to harm honey bees — who is willing and able to articulate his knowledge any day! Mr Crabrtree set out realistic expectations for me after explaining the forests of Durham and the construction of the building I am currently dwelling in. Kudos and would recommend him and will use his service in future.

I can’t say enough good things about Crabtree Pest Control! It’s very rare to find someone in pest management who is friendly, honest, and reasonable, but Mr. Crabtree is all of those things! He came out to my home to treat for a roach problem I was having. I was very impressed with his knowledge — he immediately knew what type of bug I was dealing with and explained to me how they were likely getting into my home. He explained everything he did — including what types of sprays and treatments he was using, showed me different ways that I could help prevent the little buggers from getting in again, and gave my unit a thorough walk-​through to make sure there were not any additional problem areas! I am so pleased with his service and will definitely be calling him again if I have any future bug issues!

Great service. Had a suspicion of either mice, rats or squirrels and Mr. Crabtree told me that he’d be happy to come out to determine what the issue is at no cost. Once we determined that it was mice, he even offered to ‘just pick up some kill at Lowes’ — instead of taking him up on his generous offer, i asked him to spread some bait so that it was worth his time to come out.
Will definitely call on them again for other issues if they arise.

Today, I called Mr Crabtree for a wasp problem on my porch. He answered immediately and courteously, then came out of his way, within an hour. He was generous in his knowledge, treated the immediate problem for a very reasonable fee, and gave advice for what we can do ourselves. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Crabtree Pest Control!

What a great experience. After realizing that no other pest control service would even get out of their truck for less than $ 100 (at least) Mr. Crabtree came by my house the day after I called him for a free evaluation of a couple hornet’s nests and a general outside sweep. He was friendly, knowledgable, honest, and gave me all of the advice I would need to take care of the few issues I had myself as well as recommendations for general habitat control. He did give me a quote on taking care of the nests himself and his numbers were way below the competition. The next time I have pest control issues that need a professional, he is definitely the guy I’m calling.

I called several exterminators and 2 said they couldn’t help me and others were not available immediately. Mr. Crabtree was so responsive and helped me within 1 hour. I had a real unusual situation and he helped me immediately.
Now my stress is relieved and his intervention to exterminate wasps that I felt traumatized by was gone… Please try his services .in addition to being an excellent professional, he is a wonderful person.

The best exterminator we have ever used! Offers excellent customer service, working around our schedule and kids/​pets! Extremely knowledgeable about pests and the use of pesticides around our family. He resolved our ant problem in one trip and didn’t expect payment until the problem was resolved! Highly recommend using them for all your exterminating needs!

This company is awesome. He came out at no charge to discuss my options for carpenter ants. He was upfront & honest. Much better than another local pest

Crabtree is a small, mom-​n-​pop, business with a helpful heart.
The owner has been nothing but knowledgeable and kind. Yes, he can occasionally talk over you but it’s not in a malicious way. I found that if I closed my mouth and listened he was already covering what I was asking or going to ask about.
We have a mouse or two in our place. He laid out bait, made sure that our dog couldn’t get to it, and that we were alright with anything that he needed to use/​do. He’s told us what we should fix to keep the pests out. When inquiring about the bugs I’ve encountered (I’m not from this area of the country… at all) he was more than happy to explain what they are and how to deal with them.
I hope I don’t need him for much else but if I do. I’m happy to have a prompt and helpful company to call upon.

Impatient person who answered the phone. Barely could get a word out before he started talking all over me. Doesn’t seem interested in resolving the problems that you are having. Not a problem. I will take my business elsewhere.

Crabtree is as good as it gets, when it comes to expertise, customer orientation, results, value for money, and trustworthiness. Mr. Crabtree has been courteous and professional whenever I have called (perhaps the negative reviewer who had a bad phone experience may have had a poor cell connection?). He has provided us service three pest problems, he has taken the time to understand the full scope of the problem and to talk extensively to educate us on the cause and the possible solutions, including the risks of various chemicals and how to manage the risk. He has actively tried to help us save money by showing us both insecticide we can apply ourselves as well as other steps we need to take as part of a solution — e.g., removing damp wood that carpenter ants feed on, keeping drains plugged to prevent roaches from entering from the sewers. He’s pretty clear that the customer needs to do their part if his interventions are going to work, while other exterminators we’ve called just apply a formulaic, expensive chemical treatment while trying to convince us to subscribe to a treatment plan. Not only does Jesse really provide a free consultation, he even wouldn’t accept $ when he determined that we would be best served self-​treating the problem and showing us what we needed for the job.
I wish every tradesperson were are as diligent, thorough, capable, and honest as Jesse. Six stars!

I called CrabTree Pest Control because I had an insect/​rodent issue, wasn’t sure of the causes and definitely didn’t know how to solve it. Mr. CrabTree came out the same day, explained the situation in terms a homeowner like myself would understand and the courses of action I could take. There was no «salesman pressure» and Mr. CrabTree was earnest to my situation.
As long as I remain in an area he serves, Mr. CrabTree will be the first person I call for extermination services.

Well, I can’t actually speak to their services but I called today just to get an estimate and the man who answered the phone was too impatient to even answer my question.
All I got was a «Hello?» when I answered, so I politely explained that I was interested in their general pest control services and also what they offered specifically for termites, and the gentleman barely let me finish before he interjected «we don’t do termites» Umm. Okay, I was hoping to give you money to get rid of other things?
I’ve called several of the other pest companies on Unilocal and they at least pretended they were interested in my business!
Will write a review on the quality of the actual service once I’ve settled on one, but these guys are out of the running.
