CompuDance was founded and established in 1986 as a desktop software for the dance industry. Over the years, CompuDance has been a software leader in the dance and music industry. Technology has rapidly changed in recent years and we have worked hard to keep up with the changes so that you can succeed in your industry. The demands of work-​life balance for a studio owner are challenging. The focus to a web-​based software version of the CompuDance software began in 2010 after the business changed hands in 2009. Our goal of developing and fostering client relationships is our primary concentration. Our motivation is to develop the highest quality software while keeping costs down to help you run more efficiently and grow your business.

Business Owner

Maureen Strehl, President of CompuDance has been a technology expert in the software field for more than 25 years. In her earlier years she worked on development and training projects with WebMD, PCN Health Management, and Perkins-​Goodwin. Later when she was raising her family, she took time off from her corporate job and went to work with Broadway Bound Dance Studio in Dumont, NJ. The 850+ dance school owned and led by Rocco Santorufo was in need of an Operations Director. There, Maureen learned «hands-​on» how to run and manage a studio and events. This knowledge was the essential key for her later success with CompuDance.

In 2009, Maureen had the opportunity to purchase CompuDance from its previous owner. Maureen had the vision and the energy to take the desktop billing and scheduling software application and develop it to a web-​based software version in just two years. Maureen oversees the day to day operations and business development.
