History
Established in 1990.
Broadway Bound Dance Center is located in Dumont NJ, in the heart of Bergen County. Founded in 1990 by Mr. Rocco Santorufo, Broadway Bound is celebrating its 20th year of performing arts in the Bergen County community. BBDC began with a clear vision and whole lot of passion. With just a boom box and a pair of tap shoes, Mr. Rocco found space at the Dumont Elks Club. As the student base grew and the demand for more dance. classes arose, BBDC moved to a small storefront on Madison Ave.
The school’s reputation blossomed and expansion was soon necessary so we moved to a 2,500 sq. ft. facility. As enrollment grew so did the need for teachers, and Mr. Rocco recruited many professional teachers from Manhattan.
After several years we added a second location allowing us to expand our curriculum to bring more Performing Arts to bergen county. Along with our children and adolescent classes, our adult classes grew to accommodate different levels, interests and schedules. Over the years, Mr. Rocco

Founded in 1990 by Mr. Rocco Santorufo, Broadway Bound is celebrating its 22nd year in the instruction of the performing arts in Bergen County, New Jersey. BBDC began with a clear vision and a great deal of passion. With just a boom box and a pair of tap shoes, Mr. Rocco found space at the Dumont Elks Club. As his student base grew and the demand for more dance classes arose, class instruction was moved to a small storefront on Madison Avenue.
The school’s reputation blossomed and expansion was soon necessary. Mr. Rocco moved to a 2,500 sq. ft. facility. As enrollment and the need for qualified instructors grew, many professionals were recruited from the top of the fields in New York City.
After several years, a second location was added. This allowed expansion to the school’s curriculum so it could offer instruction of more of the Performing Arts to Bergen County students.
