I’ll have to preface this by saying that the apartment complex itself is fine. The rent is really cheap, and neither my roommate nor I had any glaring issues with our unit. The only thing is, there are no overhead lights in any of the rooms so you will have to bring a lamp. You pay for water and trash through a third party, and all other utilities you must turn on yourself. My actual issue is with the management. One of the associates, Marlene, made a mistake on my roommate and my lease. Granted, we did not catch this error until a month before our assumed move-out date. We had originally signed up for an eleven month lease because it was going at a lower rate, but Marlene made the typo of a twelve month lease. When we pulled together the original documents that showed the error, she was not apologetic. During this entire process, she was very evasive and treated both my roommate and I like children. It took her a month to actually contact upper management. and even when she had, she was very nonchalant about the entire situation. Then finally when she owned up to her mistake, she actually got a fellow associate to call us instead of apologizing herself. Her associate asked«what were we willing to give» to move out a month earlier. EXCUSEME? I don’t understand how we should be at fault for an error on your part. As I said, the apartments are really affordable and in a decent location. But if you’re looking for cooperative management, this is not the place to find it.
