So since I woke your interest, my name is David Gomes I’m an avid DJ with love for music, this my full time job and career, not only do I play music but also love to deal with people and help them realize their Dream Event. It’s a great feeling to being referred over and over again from past clients, Happy Brides & Grooms, People Whom Celebrated their Birthdays, Graduations, Corporate Clients that wait an entire year to have an Awesome Night of Dancing.

My dream of being a DJ came from a very early age, when my brother was not only a DJ as well but he was associated with a very Successful National Disc Jockey Company, from there I learned all the Techniques and acquired a good taste for all styles of Music including: Oldies, Funky 70’s, The All Popular 80’s Music, Classic Rock, R&B, Techno, Hip Hop, World Music such as Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Portuguese and Brazilian also Persian.

David was excellent. He did a great job ensuring our wedding reception ran smoothly, which enabled us to enjoy our night without having to worry about anything. We really appreciated the time that David took to meet with us, in advance, to discuss our music tastes and understand what we were looking for in our wedding reception. I appreciated his professionalism and guidance to tailor the songs we did want to use into our event. He did a great job mixing the music to fit the crowd.

As my husband said during his wedding speech, «Give it up for David! He’s a REALLY good DJ!» I wish I would have known early on that David provided wedding planning and officiant services as well. Otherwise, he would have done it all for us! After our phone call with David the week of the wedding, we were both so impressed. You can tell right off the bat that David is very experienced, professional, and super on top of things. We are extremely pleased with the music and photobooth services. He was always on track with time during the wedding and played ALL of the songs we requested. I hear a lot of complaints from other couples getting married saying that their DJ didn’t play the songs they chose. We will definitely refer David and keep him in mind for future events!

This review is coming much too late, but something definitely had to be said about how pleased we were working with David for our wedding last month April8th at Nella Terra.
From the beginning, David was on top of everything and answered all our questions so that we were able to make the best selection for our day. My husband, my mother in law, and I knew that we picked the right person after meeting up with him to go over the wedding day details/​timeline, he was absolutely patient and personable.
He guided me through the selection and provided me advice, but still let me personalized my list of songs 100%. On the wedding day, he went above and beyond the expectations. He was on top of everything, perfect timing. he managed to slow it down when it needed to slow down and get everyone dancing/​engaging in the fun games when it was time. We picked some songs and gave him the liberty to do his thing and he didn’t disappoint!
We could not be happier with David for his services, people enjoyed the photo-​booth SO MUCH than I usually see at other weddings I have attended. We would highly recommend David!

David did a fantastic job at our wedding. We are an Asian couple with friends from all over Asia and the U.S. coming to our big day. He was able to maneuver through the traditional tea ceremony and wedding games with ease and made the whole process extra fun. At the same time, David had a great command of the dance floor and played upbeat western music that caters to the party crowd. Throughout the process, David was professional and tried to meet our demands while making suggestions. I would highly recommend his service to any of my friends.

David DJ’d at our wedding in September of 2015. We hired him and his team for Music, uplighting and Photobooth. David is detail oriented and extremely experienced and professional. You can tell he’s done so many weddings and has everything figured out, what things can go wrong and how to ensure things run smooth. He will advise you of your wedding timeline and music selection. We worked with him on our first dance music. We picked Ed Sheeran «Thinking Out Loud» (I think everybody picked this song in 2015 for first dance, lol). We had choreographed our first dance based on a 2.5 min. cut of the song and he had no problem editting that song for us. In addition, we had a wedding dance song which included a mix of 3 different songs, he was able to mix it for us as well.
On the day of the wedding, David and his team came early to set-​up. Honestly, his team got to work and all I saw that day was great music, he was a great MC and made sure our timeline was on schedule. He also help host our wedding games. The photobooth was a great hit, with great props! We loved the Amber uplighting and the monogram he designed for us. For the monogram, I showed him the font I liked and he gave us a couple of revisions until we liked the design.
Sound Wave offers great packages and is a great option to work with one vendor to get your DJ, uplighting, monogram (custom initial design on the dance floor) and photobooth. Thanks David + team for your phenomenal service. You won’t be disappointed with Sound Wave!

I had the greatest birthday party ever!!! It was in part due to the services provided by Sound Wave. All my friends loved the photo booth and he had all ages dancing until party’s end. We used Sound Wave Mobile DJ for our wedding in October and couldn’t be more pleased! David the owner was extremely professional, helpful and always prompt to respond to any questions we had. We also utilized him for the photobooth. Our guests had so much fun in the booth snapping pictures all night! Hire David and you won’t have to worry! David was the DJ for my wedding August 15th in Walnut Creek. In addition to playing music, he EmCee’d and provided uplights. He was extremely professional and organized at our meeting. I was very impressed by his online planning tool with thousands of songs. He also provided amber uplighting since we wanted something more classic and natural. I would hire him again for any other event and would not hesitate to refer him to anyone who asks. The icing on the cake is that he speaks Portuguese and could pronounce everyone’s names and was able to play some Portuguese music as well. Thank you David!!! You helped make our day very memorable!

I couldn’t be more happier to have David and Sound Wave Mobile DJ Service for my wedding (last night).
Before the wedding David met with us to go over timeline and details. My husband and I were so impressed with how organized and professional David is ! He had all the print outs of my songs I wanted played and he gave such great advice with how to mix spanish and American music together.
David did a wonderful job with the set ups of up lights and club type of lighting. His calm personality really helped me feel worry free. He really helped the wedding flow and stayed on schedule. Best of all he is very fun and flexible.
The hit of the night was David’s staff set up a wonderful, fun photo booth. I almost didn’t have it but I so glad I did. The guest were raving about it all night. And you get the pics right after your done!

David did a great job as our DJ/​MC at our wedding a few months back. He made the planning process easy with his online planner. Without that we wouldn’t know how many songs we actually needed for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception! We went with David because we liked his different packages that he offered and because he had a ton of experience with our venue, Palmdale Estates – he knew the place inside and out so we didn’t have to worry. The package we went with came with a photobooth and a slideshow of photos that played near our guestbook. The photobooth was a hit! Our guests loved it and we appreciated David’s advice in where to put the photobooth to make sure the guests would still enjoy the dance floor. David was very accommodating with mine and my husbands requests. I don’t know how many times we asked to change the photo strip and we even asked to change it a few days before our wedding. He didn’t complain and he made it just as we requested! He’s a very busy guy but he managed to respond to all of our emails and answer all of our questions. Thanks so much, David! Also, the photobooth attendees were very nice and helpful as well!

My wife and I were blessed to work with so many great vendors for our wedding, and definitely count David and Sound Wave Mobile DJ Service among them!
David is extremely professional, organized, and a pleasure to work with. He was very responsive to all our emails, including my last minute request for a surprise wedding performance by me and my groomsmen! It was a smooth, easy process to choose and set up our wedding music through direct communication with David as well as his very convenient, helpful web GUI (graphical user interface).
His experience working with various ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and their traditional customs helps immensely in communicating expectations and understanding the flow of events. David also gave very helpful feedback and suggestions, and did a great job MC’ing and playing great music throughout our wedding!

David did an amazing job DJ-​ing our wedding! He kept the celebration going and he was also very responsible about making sure everything ran smoothly. As caught up as I was, he made sure to keep me informed of the night’s events — making sure we were on schedule with everything (the cocktail hour music, the grand entrance, the first dance, cake music, flower toss… etc). He even let us create a special mix so my husband could perform a solo dance to Michael Jackson! Our guests also really enjoyed the Photobooth. We got a lot of good feedback! David and his staff was great to work with for our wedding! His webGUI for picking songs and organizing songs per wedding section was really convenient. What stood out with David vs other DJs was his webGUI and his free treats like monogram projection and GOBOs. He worked really well with our coordinator to make the day run worry-​free.
We had live singers as part of our ceremony and he worked hard to accommodate them. Our singers had to change tracks 3 times including at 1AM and 10AM on the day of for an afternoon ceremony. David gladly went the extra mile to make it work even if the other people weren’t on their game.
Only caveat is email communication further out from the day is a little spotty since he’s so busy with gigs. But he’s very responsive to phone/​text and will contact you if anything is missing. Closer to the date, he will give you his full attention on all fronts and make you feel special. We met with him over phone and in person to go over specifics and he was very friendly and patient with us.
All in all, very professional and timely that we didn’t have to worry about anything on our wedding day!

Planning a daughter’s 18th birthday can be stressful. Not when you get David to do a photo booth for the party! The photo booth was entertainment, party favor, décor and memorabilia all in one less the stress, clean up and recycling. Worth the $$ spent on my baby girl’s milestone birthday. Party of 30 at my house. Weekday price, $ 350 plus $ 25 (for outbound miles).
David was the only one who responded promptly to the five info requests I sent via web on Friday for a Monday event. (last minute!) We corresponded via text and email. David and Christina set up an hour before the event and was ready on the dot at 5:30. They were both there to attend to the guests, guide each one, photos came out beautiful, kids all had a great time! After all was said and done, David handed me a CD of all the photos so I can print and make scrapbook memories. How great is that?
Most importantly, my baby girl was very happy. David captured it with the photobooth with her friends. Priceless. Priceless. Priceless.

When you plan wedding people tend to give you the advice that you should spend more money on what’s important to you. Well for this bride I knew that I wanted to dance and have fun on my wedding night.
When started my search for my perfect DJ I had my friends recommend many but one stood out. I heard about David and how he was very professional and organized and helped weddings stay on schedule. That immediately caught my attention because we only had our venue for 5 hours so I wanted to make the best of the time we had. When we met with David he was great and I knew he would be fun to work with. We booked him a couple weeks later.
Planning with David was so easy and stress free. He has an amazing online planner were you can go at anytime and request music and set up the music time line for your wedding. Being a music lover of all music lets just say I spent countless hours on the online planers. Another perk is you can ask him questions online and he responds pretty much right away. What really stood out to me is I mentioned that I was having a «Up» theme wedding and he always stayed true to our theme. He even customized the photo booth for our theme.
For our wedding he did an awesome job. He makes sure the crowd is having fun but at the same time makes sure the bride and groom are fine too. He kept everything on schedule and was very professional.
His wife and daughter were amazing too and very sweet.
I am very lucky to have found David because he made our special day even more special:)

OH MY GOSH!!!
We hired David to DJ our wedding. Not only was I comfortable with him from day one but he made all of my dreams come true. Thanks to him my wedding was amazing. There was many hiccups that occurred and he managed to get everything perfect so I wouldn’t even notice. His music was amazing and he played everything my husband and I loved.
He accommodated to our schedule and kept the music running until 1am. All of my friends and family had an amazing time on the dance floor.
I wish we could do it all over again!!!
