I’ve visited the office a total of 3 times — 1^st was initial visit and cleaning, 2^nd was actual dental work, and 3^rd was a consultation. Every visit was a bad experience.
On the 2^nd visit the tech almost started work on the wrong tooth (she started trying to remove a permanent crown!).
The people who run the office are rude, condescending, and unhelpful. They even tried to scam over $ 1000 from me for treatment that is covered by my insurance, by trying to act like it wasn’t. The whole conversation had a very ‘used-​car-​salesman’ kind of air about it. Saying things like ‘this might be covered by your insurance, and it might be around the same amount. But we’ll just charge you $ 1000′. When I got the quote through my insurance, the procedure is less than $ 200. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!
It’s a shame the office staff is so terrible because I actually did like the dentist. Just not enough to deal with the shady rudeness of the rest of the people.
Do yourself a favor, and go ANYWHERE else!

I have been a patient at Pannu dental for years & never had any problems. At my last appointment on May 7, 2016 & I was told i have a activity & they have to do root canal & I need new crowns. I asked how much would I have to pay out of pocket & the girl at the front desk told me that she doesn’t know, but someone will call me to let me know. 5 days past no one called so I called on May 12^th & I was told that their computer is down & someone will call me back as soon as it is fixed. Once again no one bothered to call me so I called again on May 16^th & I was told the person who does the calculation for insurance cost & out of pocket cost is out for lunch & will call me when she returns. As of today June 2^nd no one has called me. Time to find a new dentist.

I’ll give a 5 star because that is the maximum I can otherwise I would add more stars. I’ve been handled with excellent care by everyone working in this location. The dentist also calls to check up on you again a few days later after any procedure just to see how you are doing. The dentist also gives you in depth information about so many procedures. I’ve recommended my family and friends to try out this particular location and judge for themselves about the quality of care they offer.

I received excellent service from the staff at this clinic. I had switched my care over to this dental office from Fremont due to better appointment availability with my work schedule. Everyone is very friendly, accommodating, and extremely welcoming! In particular, Farzad was very helpful and went above and beyond to help me with my treatment payment plans due to a change in my insurance while I was receiving Invisalign treatment.
Dr. Pannu and Dr. Johal at this dental office are both amazing dentists! I had a 10 month Invisalign treatment and other dental work over the last year from them, and both Dr. Pannu and Dr. Johal are extremely knowledgable, skilled, and very friendly.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with the exceptional care I received from this clinic. Definitely will be recommending them to my family/​friends.

The staff is friendly and honest. I’m looking forward going back for a follow up appointment and maybe for future ones to come.

I went to Pannu dental office located in Dublin, Farzad helped me on my surgical part and he is really Pro and understanding, i would highly recommend Farzad, the office is clean

I was a patient for a few years because my insurance was lousy and I essentially had a choice between Pannu and Western Dental (which should have been my first warning sign). Each time I went in for my 6 month cleaning there was a new dentist which tells me something is wrong that they can’t keep a dentist.
A dentist should be a trusted health care provider but my years of experience at Pannu felt like a used car dealership. It always felt like they were trying to upsell me on this special treatment of sell me this appliance or service. Do I medically need the procedure or not? According to them I needed a lot of procedures (mostly fillings). No dentist before nor after has ever managed to find as many cavities and some have questioned why certain procedures were done. I definitely didn’t trust them and am glad i’m gone.
On a positive note, their office staff was always kind and helpful.
Bottom line, if this is your only option, get your teeth cleaned every 6 months so you don’t lose them. But if you have other options, i’d explore those first.

Wish they realize importance of other peoples’ time. Today is FrIday– a working day. I had to cancel my other meeting because my appointment, that was scheduled for 8, has not yet started and it’s 8:38. If you have all the time in the world then plan a visit here else stay away.

BEST DENTIST I HAVE HAD IN YEARS!
I am a new patient of Dr. Pannu’s at his Dublin facility yet I have already decided that from now on I will not go to ANY OTHER DENTIST but Dr. Pannu. First of all, Dr. Pannu is not only a very knowledgeable dentist with state-​of-​the-​art equipment, he is also very friendly as well as compassionate about your dental problems. I certainly don’t understand the one star review from J S on 4÷14÷2015 because I have never had any frustrating experiences with the staff, and I personally think that this dental practice is one of the better managed offices I have visited in the past 15 years. I can’t speak to issues about braces or orthodontics, but it seems to me that if a person is having difficulty with scheduling or appointments, they just need to articulate their frustration in a non-​hostile manner and make sure that there are no misunderstandings about dates and times of appointments. I have ALWAYS gotten both texts and emails from Dr. Pannu’s office in advance of my appointments confirming both date and time, so there has never been a problems.
My first experience at Dr. Pannu’s was with the office manager, Farzad, who makes you feel extremely welcome — he makes you feel like you are an important person, not like some of the other dentist offices that I have been to recently where I was treated like a 2^nd class citizen simply because I had dental insurance, so I wasn’t paying them directly out of pocket. Farzad is also very thorough about going over the details of the different dental procedures and also explaining what my insurance will cover. No «gross mismanagement» under Farzad in my opinion.
I decided to write this review today because today I had an overall FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE at Dr. Pannu’s: To start with I needed a filling, but getting Novocain and fillings put in my teeth is something I absolutely DREAD… however, Dr. Johl (who is on Dr. Pannu’s staff) did the procedure and she was so easy-​going and CALM that I wasn’t nervous about it as I usually am, and I was surprised at how quickly she finished. I realized that my usual «dentist fear» had just disappeared.
I also needed to have some of my teeth filed down because there were some tiny chips and sharp points at the ends and they looked generally un-​even. Dr. Pannu ground them down with that electric dentist tool that I’m sure EVERYBODY hates to hear, but he was so fast and efficient that he was done in no time at all. Now my teeth look much better because he did such a good job! I needed to have this procedure done because I am getting temporary veneers (until I can afford dental implants where I have missing teeth) and I needed impressions made of both my upper and lower arch and I didn’t want uneven teeth for the dental impressions. Dr. Johl did the dental impressions for me and then Dr. Pannu suggested making a THIRD impression which he called a «bite registration» so that when the lab makes my veneers they can see exactly how my teeth come together when I bite down. He told me this will make it possible for them to make veneers that are more precise to fit my teeth. I would not even have known about this if Dr. Pannu hadn’t educated me on what he called my «deep bite.» In fact, I have learned so much from Dr. Pannu about some of the problems with my teeth that no other dentist ever bothered to explain to me. So, at least now I know what I need to have done to fix them, because my teeth are in pretty bad shape. I have complete confidence in Dr. Pannu. I feel certain that he and the other dentists on his staff will be able to give me back the great teeth and smile that I once had years ago.
All in all, I am completely happy with Dr. Pannu and his entire staff at Dublin, and I have already recommended him to my sister and to friend, and I would highly recommend him to anyone reading this Unilocal review.

I had the experience of working with Farzad and Dr. Johal, and both were super friendly! They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable.
Farzad was especially very nice and extremely helpful. Helped me with figuring out the best way to deal with my insurance. He called other branches of his clinic to find me possible appointment dates. Surely a good place to visit, given how many dentist offices these days are trying to upsell you in every visit.

I go here for invisalign treatment which is going very well and mostly on schedule (mainly my fault since I only have one day a week that I can sometimes make it in). I initially started treatment with Dr. Sidhu who was wonderful but disappeared, and Dr. Pannu took over my treatment plan. He is also very good at explaining the treatment process. The office staff is very friendly and Farzad is exceptionally pleasant.
I had a root canal done on a tooth by a specialist who comes in to the office once a month, he did a very good job on it. I felt no pain (I have an incredibly low pain tolerance) and follow-​up x-​rays showed the bone to be filling in quite nicely. I had my dentist from another office (I’ve been going all my life and they’re closer to my house so I still go to him for cleanings) check out the x-​rays and he said it was a very good job.
The only thing I’d say they could improve on is when I go in to pick up my new invisalign aligners and they haven’t come in yet (since I live in Oakland and it’s a bit of a drive). I always call ahead of time now to double check they came in.

I’ve been dealing with the front desk, hygienists, orthodontic-​hygienists, and orthodontists for the past two years and I’d have to say almost every time has been a disappointing and frustrating experience.
This feels like a grossly miss-​managed practice from repeat last minute rescheduling and cancelling of appointments to not having any leeway the times I was running late.
Take for instance my orthodontics experience: this procedure requires monthly visits and the orthodontist couldn’t keep my appointment almost half a dozen times. In those situations they asked me to wait another month to see him (wait almost 8 – 10 weeks for next appointment) or I would have to drive 30 minutes to another office location to see him within the same month. Of course people with braces want them off sooner than later! There was more than one occasion when I drove 30 minutes for an afternoon appointment and the staff just started their lunch break or came back from their lunch break having me wait 30+ minutes– and all of these times I’m taking off of work to drive around the bay to make these appointments. If they know they will need an hour or longer for every staff member to go on lunch, why don’t they schedule around lunch? They had all sorts of excuses when I asked them why I was taken in at 1:45 for a 1pm appointment. Another time I had a complication with my braces and they had me come in to the Dublin office. When I showed up they said they didn’t have anyone on staff to handle the minor issue and told me to hang in there and set up an appointment for their Fremont office the next day. I drove out the next day and waited for someone to see me. When someone finally took me and I explained my issue she clearly asked me «so what do you want me to do?» I said I’m not sure, can you help? And she simply replied «no.» I ended up waiting another two weeks to have that particular issue fixed.
On another note, I noticed a particular doctor spending more time with female patients (10 – 15 minutes for the ladies, 1 – 2 minutes with me). I felt I didn’t have the whole picture so I kept that to myself but was shocked to read other similar reviews — this was a problem that others have also witnessed!
When that orthodontist left the practice and a new one joined their policies changed without warning about late arrivals. I was running late to an appointment and they ended up cancelling my appointment entirely because the new doc has a «no-​late arrival policy». Anyways, over all it has been horrendous experience (both general dentistry and orthodontics). I’ve never left a dentist appointment before with so much water, toothpaste and other gunk sprayed on my face from the hygienists handiwork. I’d have to say the end-​to-​end experience can only be described as incompetent. I feel duped for falling for the 4.5−5 star reviews that this office had when I was searching two years ago. I feel like more honest reviews are finally being added.
These are only a few of the anecdotes from my experiences there. If you are looking for general dentistry or especially orthodontics I would urge you to look elsewhere and save yourself headaches and frustration for the next few years.

I found Pannu Dental through the Invisalign website, they had the highest rating in the area. I am half way through my treatment and I could not be happier. Dr. Pannu is very professional and clearly great at what he does. I’ve seen a few other doctors there and they have all been great! The staff at Pannu is extremely friendly and you can tell they love their work. They make me feel comfortable and talk me through the procedures. Farzad and Elena are funny and very attentive, which makes the experience more pleasant. They are open on Saturdays, and are very flexible with scheduling. Charlotte is great about scheduling you if you need to very quickly, and they are very good with reminders. I’ve had consistently good experiences at the Dublin office and I highly recommend them!

I’ve been to the Dublin office for Pannu Dental multiple times now and have had great experiences every time.
The dentists are all very friendly and passionate about their work. I really appreciate that they don’t try to make small talk with a bunch of tools in my mouth but will talk me through the procedures before they begin and answer any questions I have.
Since it is a cosmetic dentistry as well as a general practice office, they’re open on Saturday (which is a godsend), sensitive about your privacy, and very good about sending reminder texts.
Prices are a little higher than your average dentist, but they have specialists at each office on a rotating basis, so you can get a consultation in-​office. Also, they’re one of the few offices in the area that accepts my barebones Dental HMO.
The staff is great as well. Farzad and Elena make me laugh and calm me when I’m worried.

We have been using Dr. Pannu for few years now after I heard him on a radio show. The experience has been overall good. Dr. Pannu himself is a very good dentist and a businessman. I have many interactions with him and every time he has gone out of the way to take care of us. Besides Dr. Pannu, there are many in his technical staff that make my visit better. Farzad is very welcoming and treats you very well. I like his professionalism and excitement all the time. It make the environment lot more positive and welcoming. Maria also makes it feel very welcoming. There are few more, whose names I can’t remember.
Things that I would love to see improving so that I can give 5 stars.
1) Dentists staying longer at this practice. Every 6 – 12 months the old dentist is gone and you have to educate the new dentist about your needs again. Most of the times the new dentist will always critic the work done by the earlier dentist.
2) Reduced marketing and appointment emails. Teach the marketing staff to be compassionate and not be just car sales people.
3) The front office keeping real track of everything and no unwanted calls. They called me for an annual cleanup 4 days after I got it done :-).
4) Long waiting time. First you wait in the lobby and then on the patient chair.
5) Dr. Pannu be more often available in this office than once in 2 weeks.

I started going to Dr. Pannu for Invisalign treatment after researching several dentists. He was the highest rated Invisalign dentist in the area according to the official Invisalign website! His staff is super friendly and attentive. I felt comfortable with Dr. Pannu right away, as he is very personable yet professional. I am beginning to get my regular cleaning done there in addition to my Invisalign treatments because I am so happy with their service.

Horrible service! I undergone root canal here and the operation wasn’t successful. The dentist said she left a file inside my tooth (which isn’t supposedly be in there) and ended up wasting my money.

I came to this office twice, and I have trust issues when it comes to their billings.
My first time, I had a very loose bridge and wanted to get it re-​glued. After a short examination, was asked to come back in a few days. The bridge was so loose that I doubted that it would not fall out before.
When I came back, I was given a form to sign, to authorize them to take the bridge out for $ 200. I told them that I would not sign the form, and I pulled the bridge out myself and set it on top of their bill. I mentioned that I was surprised that it could be so loose, and still they would not check to see if it would fall out without a need for any tools. (it actually had fallen out before my appointment, and I had placed it back in).
I went through the exam process for replacing the bridge, and was given three options. They seemed to be rather expensive.
After leaving the office, I noticed the pricing for replacing the bridge. The charges, using Cigna coverage, was $ 480 for each ‘tooth’ in the bridge. No surprise with that.
Where the surprise was:
It shows on the estimate «INCLUDES BUCCAL PORCELAIN MARGIN AND METAL UPGRADE».
But, below each ‘tooth’ charge of $ 480, was another $ 400 charge for porcelain margin and metal upgrade. Seemed like an overcharge to me.
I called my insurance, twice, getting two different people, and they verified that the dentist was indeed overcharging. No reason to charge that extra $ 400 ($ 1600 extra for the four unit bridge).
A couple of months later, someone called me from this office, saying that the doctor (Anju Aneja) wanted to see me again and provide another estimate. Interesting — besides the bridge removal, I had not talked to them about overcharges. So I told the young woman that I was concerned about overcharges. She had a very strong accent, could not understand me, and kept repeating ‘hello hello’. Eventually we got off the phone without any further understandings.
I went to their office a week ago, showed the front desk the estimate with the overcharges, but they said that they could not help with understanding the charges. I would have to talk to someone else.
Looks like a good idea not to go back.

Had a really terrible experience here. Just moved to area and went here because they were recommended by insurance and had fairly good rating on Unilocal.
I came in for my first appointment during my lunch hour and they «back-​ordered» in favor of another patient. So they had to schedule me for another appointment during another lunch hour. This time I actually got to see the dentist and she did her examination. She reported three cavities that I needed fillings for… OK. But the quote they gave me was for $ 698 AFTER INSURANCE. I thought there was no way this could be right so I called my insurance and they confirmed my suspicions: it was way overpriced. I called again to confront them about the quote and the girl that answered the phone said, «the quote is completely accurate» at which point I asked to speak to the dentist about the high price. She confessed that they actually quoted me for 5 fillings, not 3 and they would be happy to still do them… Haha, ok… So I asked for an accurate quote and she said they’d email it to me.
I never received the quote by email and tried to go by their office (which on their sign says they open at 9am) at 9:15am twice and they weren’t open.
I will definitely NOT be getting the fillings here and warn anyone to double check their quote as they may be trying to rip you off like they tried to do to me.

I hate going to any dentist, but Dr. Sidhu is really caring and explains everything she wants to do and why it’s important. The staff has been very friendly as well.
I like that their x-​rays are completely digital. They also will create a treatment plan and tell you how much every single part will cost you with your insurance. You can then choose to remove things from the list to fit your budget better, etc. Because we all know going to the dentist can rack up a pretty hefty bill!
I’m really lucky that Pannu takes Safeguard… because very very very few dentists take this DMO, and the ones that do… most of them have many HORROR stories on Unilocal!Whew.
