NY Giant Pizza & Gyros

I was here in July and had a very good gyro. I came back today for lunch and it appears to be closed. Too bad, there was nothing indicating why it was closed.

Wouldn’t recommend. Bland atmosphere with bland food. I’m from NYC and there’s nothing ny about this place. You can find better pizza and gyros from halal carts from streets than here. And to add insult to injury, they cost a lot more here. Avoid!

There has been a change of management. I’m not a big fan of the pizza anymore. I’d always order the Meat Lovers pizza. Yet, their beef gyros are still really good! I like their wings too.

Beef Gyro is by far my favorite!!! This place is now my go-​to over the chains. Pizza is way better than the chain stuff you are forced to deal with the ‘burbs. The crust is chewy and flavorful.
Reasonable prices. Still need to go into the place and check it out. But Delivery service is quick and the food is hot.

Best place for gyro’s and their halal beef pepperoni pizza is off the hook… Wahid the chef is the man and always has a smile on his face. Come here with the family and enjoy good quality food.
UPDATE: Closed down since January 2015, sold to Mirchi and haven’t open up yet… Been months. Might be a health department issue or city that they can’t open their business.

So we wanted some kabobs at the outlet so we called to order since they delivered. First off let me just say, the guy on the on the phone was very rude. I’m in customer service and I know how important it is to treat your customers right. He was treating me on the phone like I was inconveniencing him by giving him some business. Learn how to talk to people! I asked him for extra chutney he replied «I don’t know I’ll see what I can do». That’s like asking for ketchup it’s pretty simple. I asked him how long it would take he said 45 min.
So after about an hour and 15 min I had to call and see where our food was and he said oh ya the guy can’t find your store. (He didn’t even ask me the name if the store). Finally the good gets here. We had ordered two lamb kabobs and one chicken. One of the lamb kabobs was fine but the other was literally pieces of fat stuck to bone. Very very bad! This is definitely the first and last time I’m ever eating here!

This place is terrible! My family never leaves pizza on the table… And half the pizza was thrown out here.
We all ordered Philly cheese steak and the taste was bland and so generic. I can make better ones at home in 15 minutes, and I’m no chef.
Overall vacant place, and pretty bad food.

I used. To like this place but I think they got new owner n everything has gone to cr@p. Pizza tastes like chucky cheese. I ordered over the phone a wrap w gyro meat n I ended Up w a gyro instead.. as I mentioned the pizza was gross.

This is a family business, very friendly people. I love there philly cheese steak and pizza. I also like how clean this place is.

That 5 star is not even enough for that Halal beautiful clean place. The New owners are the most great people. The New Menu has a lot of verity, I love the king philly cheese stake and the pizza is much testy then before. Am very excited to find a good halal fast food place in Dublin.
Pizza was great and so were the gyros…
it was clean and the service was prompt…
I would go there again for sure.
I didnt give it 5 star cuz they charge 1 dollar for each mile they drive for delivery :((

I usually review only really good and really bad places. Unfortunately this falls in the latter category. Loved what I saw in the pictures but my pics show the real toppings. I talked with the owner about this issue and said I’d post the pics of the toppings on Unilocal and apparently he is so busy that «[He] doesn’t care about Unilocal reviews.» Take a look at the pics and voice your opinion with your pocketbook.

this review is based on the Philly cheese steak.
the older woman who made it, took all the ingredients and mixed it into a lump and put it in the sandwich. everything was mashed and mixed together. a real Philly cheese steak has a bed of meat, then a layer of cheese, then veggies. it’s all discernible.
didn’t taste really, bad. just couldn’t tell what i was chewing on. tasted like cheese and meat. sweet with a hint of tanginess.

Great pizza for those who love eating halal and middle eastern… well this pizza place is for those who love family owned pizza shops not the over hype brach places I have only been hear once but its on the list for one of the best pizza places I have been too:)

The negative reviews here seem pretty unfair. Great prices, great tasting food, the owners/​employees are very friendly, and if your order by the slice: one heckuva large slice of pizza! The only suggestion I have (which knocks off a star) is to turn on the ac. Those pizza ovens really heat up the joint so ac is necessary. It was like a sauna (sownah) in there!

I have ordered for delivery from here for over three years. They eliminated the online coupons a while ago, but were always nice enough to quote me their specials over the phone. The pizza wasn’t great, but it was OK for the price.
I called in tonight, and the less than helpful person on the phone wouldn’t go over the specials. He referred me to the coupon book, which I don’t get. Since they stopped with this policy, I’ve decided to move to greener pastures. They were OK for two pizzas before, but when they raised their prices to $ 40 for two meh pizzas… they lost me. There are a lot of better pizza choices in Dublin for $ 40 for two pizzas. Goodbye NY Pizza!: (

I will never come back. Disgusting fast food. That’s what it was. We came hoping to fulfill pizza and middle eastern food needs in one go (pizza for the kids and middle eastern for us). One look at the menu and my husband didn’t even bother to order. I stupidly ordered the chicken gyro.
Pizza was the lowest common denominator pizza you could get. Same with the chicken gyro. Yep. It was that frozen fake pressed meat. you know what I mean. Immediately after we ate, we drove to a Mexican restaurant and my husband ordered real food. I was jealous.

Honestly, if I could give this place Negative Stars, I would. I recently ordered their giant pizza and a medium pizza for a group of 12 of us and they were not only almost an hour late on their delivery, but the delivery guy was totally incompetent as it seemed he had performed a juggling act with our pizzas during his delivery, because both of our pizzas had slipped and slid all over the pizza box and the cheese and other toppings were almost completely off the pizzas!!!
As a result, we only managed to eat a few slices that remained somewhat intact, while piling on the toppings and cheese on top of the saucy crust on others, making a huge mess and ruining our enjoyment of eating pizza the way it’s supposed to be eaten.
As far as quality and taste of their pizzas it was on par with the cardboard box they came in — lacking flavor, with half baked toppings which were scarce in quantity and lacked quality.
Extremely poor quality dough that was not fully baked — EVEN AFTER we requested the pizzas to be extra crispy and thin!
Service was HORRIBLE! Pizza was even WORSE!

PLEASE DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND SKIP THIS PLACE!!!

I’m a total fan. You can’t go wrong with the combination of food this place offers. It’s on a decent side street in Dublin where you might have passed it a million times without noticing it. The prices for lunch are out of this world! I’ve gone to another spot (in Pleasanton) and a gyro there is $ 7-​$ 8 and here it is $ 4-​$ 5. You get more options than your average fast food Greek restaurant. For instance I’ve had their Falafel sandwich which was a great, but then I tried their vegetable falafel! Wow!
I need to go back for their pizza. That looks equally delicious and is also cheaper than your average!
But shhh, don’t tell too many people. You wouldn’t want those prices to go up, now would you?
