Well, tonight’s dinner experience I’m sad to report, but it’s been on my mind. We should’ve known, Sunday night would be crowded with church go-ers. Oh well, everywhere open in Dublin on Sunday would be crowded(we already left the Mexican restaurant because there were no open parking spaces.) We found a booth in the corner by the kitchen and had a prompt server who got us our drinks quickly. We put our orders in and that’s when things seem to have went south. I ordered a buffalo ranch chicken sandwich and he ordered the bacon smothered biscuits with egg, cheese and hash=browns. My fiancé’s dinner arrived and he was finished by the time mine arrived. They said they wanted to be sure the chicken was thoroughly cooked so, I had a few bites off his food in the meantime. Still, it was unnerving that the cooks didn’t seem to know when the chicken was done… They asked if I wanted both ranch and buffalo(yes…that’s the name of the sandwich), then after it was plated and being brought to the table she stopped and asked if I wanted lettuce and tomato(yes…it was listed in the description on the menu.) I told her not to worry about it since she was already in arms length to the table. Keep in mind this isn’t our server, but the cook asking me. Okay, once I finally bit into my food, it all fell apart. The bread was saturated and mushy and I ended up basically eating the chicken with a knife and fork. The fries were tasteless and only about a handful. I actually left and went to Kroger to buy a TV dinner.

This place is near Krogers Supermarket. We ordered a breakfast consisting of eggs, hash browns, bacon, toast, and grits. We asked for eggs«over easy» which arrived severely overcooked and leathery. We reported the overcooked eggs to our waitress who replied«I put in the order for over easy», sneered, and walked away. Almost any other place would have changed out the overcooked eggs for properly cooked. Will never go there again. Note that there are at least 3 other Huddle House locations in Dublin and that they may very well be different.
