I have been coming here for quite a few years and it’s been over a year since the last time I visited, this review is way overdue!
I have gotten two piercings here (bottom navel and rook) and my sister has also gotten two here (top navel and tragus).
Any time we come in, we are always given tons of info on risks of infection, how to clean piercings and jewelry. I always feel the staff only has the best interests for their customers and that helps, especially since they are poking holes in your body!
Besides the piercing portion of the shop, this place carries awesome art, clothing and accessories.

I found this place on Unilocal and I’m extremely glad I did. Chun was the one who did my naval peircing and he was the nicest person. He really knows what he’s talking about and talked me through the whole process. The whole experience was very pleasant and I would recommend Monkeys To Go to everyone.

It’s taken me a few weeks to get around to writing a review, but it’s definitely time to give credit where credit is due! We came to Monkeys To Go to get our baby’s ears pierced earlier this month based on the positive Unilocal reviews (she was a little over 4 months old at the time) and were not disappointed.
We made an appointment to make sure that we would not have to wait, though it was definitely quiet when we arrived. For babies, they require that they have their 2^nd set of shots so be prepared to present your immunization records. The price covers the numbing agent and the piercing; if you choose to bring your own jewelry there is also an additional sterilization fee.
Chun was our piercer and we cannot say enough good things about him. He inspected the earrings we brought to make sure that they would not irritate the baby during the healing process and also to make sure that the gold was pure enough. It was really reassuring to see that he wanted the best possible outcome for our baby right of the bat.
The process itself was very quick and as painless as possible for our little one. Chun was extremely patient and gentle with her and he walked us through the whole process while he did it. The aftercare instructions were very thorough and he gave us his personal contact information in case we had any questions or concerns once we got her home. Good luck getting that type of service at your local Claire’s!
Honestly, our baby did not seem to be in any real kind of pain afterward (once the numbing cream wore off) and the healing process went perfectly. We are very happy we went with Monkeys To Go and would definitely recommend them.

Awesome staff and experience! Went in today to get my industrial and two cartilage piercings. Chun and Sam were so helpful and accommodating! They even provided me with sugar packets and soda to help with my blood sugar. They really know what they’re doing here. I would definitely come back to this location for future piercings.

I went yesterday to get my nose pierced and since i didn’t make an appointment i waited like 20 cause he was with another girl but the wait wasn’t bad at all there was no where to sit. He was very nice and informative it hurt but nothing too crazy i love the way it looks I’d go back for sure

Got my baby girl’s ears pierced here by a guy with tattoos, dreads and plugs. He did an amazing job. I’m giving it 4 stars because it cost $ 120 to pierce her ears after all the add-​ons (numbing cream, flats backs). Nevertheless, I will recommend this place to others. Perfectly executed and she took it like a champ.

got my nipple pierced by chun! he made me feel really comfortable even tho my boob was out haha he told me jokes too while he was piercing me to distract me from the pain super cool and nice guy! it was $ 50 which isn’t too bad I will definitely go back for my next piercing!

I’m SO glad my friend told me about this place. I’ve came here 4 times to get my keloid removed on my nose. (4 times because that damn thing is stubborn AF lol) And let me tell you, chun is the BEST here. Great customer service. Everything is clean. He’s helped me out a lot with my keloid and told me a few tricks on how to take care of it (: I’d definitely recommend this place and recommend chun as well. Positive people, positive place, and positive vibes!

Came to get my tragus re-​pierced (had to take my old piercing out a few years back for a previous job) and was really nervous because i hate needles/​blood and had a pretty rough experience getting my tragus pierced the first time at a different location. The lady in the front was super nice while we were filling out the paperwork and picking out jewelry. She said they had sugar packets to give me if i started feeling light headed or faint. My piercer, Lexi (i think!?) was EXTREMELY patient/​kind/​understanding and overall went out of her way to make sure i felt comfortable and realized i get queasy with those kinds of things. She was very quick and gentle. A much better experience, and its been healing very nicely! She pierced my friend who went with me also, and both of us were happy with our service! Definitely recommend to others and would go back if i ever get another piercing!

The girl that helped me take out my eyebrow jewelry was really personable and cool and I appreciated how comfortable she made me feel. I will come back here for any future piercings I want :)))

Long overdue review. The lady at the front was super nice and helpful. Her glasses were also super cute!
The guy that pierced my septum was really fast and I was in and out of there really quick. The pricing was about $ 40 which wasn’t too bad and it was one of the only places that took card. I’m planning to return here to purchase jewelry since they seem to be the only store around that carries good quality jewelry for a reasonable price.

Spontaneously felt like getting a piercing today so I walked in and talked to the lady at the front (sorry I forgot her name!) She was really helpful with me because I wasn’t too sure of what to get, I ended up getting my nose pierced. Also she helped me pick out a really cute stone that I’m absolutely in love with! Wendy was the one who pierced me and she was totally cool and talked me through the whole process, even though I’ve gotten pierced a bunch of times before, but still that was helpful! The actual piercing didn’t hurt as much as I though it would, maybe because I have a high pain tolerance but my cartilage was much more painful. Everyone there was really nice and chill though, loved the environment. I’ll for sure go back for my next piercing!

My friend and I decided to get our noses pierced and I am so glad we came here! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and was helped right away. The lady with black wavy hair was very helpful and explained the different jewelry and prices to us. Once in the back, the piercer was a guy and made us feel comfortable. He was knowledgeable and was humorous because we were a bit nervous. The piercing did not hurt at all. He explained what to do and what not to do when it came to the healing process. All in all it was the best experience we had. I would definitely recommend this place. Plus if you check in you get $ 5 off the jewelry, which is a plus!

My wife and I did a lot of research as for as reviews and safest methods to pierce our 6 month old’s ears. After reading reviews for places from south orange county to burbank I narrowed it down to monkeys to go and one other place. I called and spoke with Wendy the day before I took my daughter in. She took her time with me and thoroughly explained the process in piercing my infants ears as well as briefly explained the differences in the narrow needle and the gun methods.
I decided to stop in the day after. Wendy immediately remembered our conversation the day before and still repeated the process and went over the benefits of the narrow needle method of piercing vs the gun. When it came time to pierce my daughter’s ears she took her time marking and remarking the lobe to insure a proper alignment. After about 4 times on each lobe (mostly becuase my daughter was moving alot) we finally were happy with the marks.
Wendy was extremely gentle and professional. As with any piercing, my daughter cried after the first lobe and made it a little harder for the second. Wendy still got it done without hurting her any more then needed to peirce the ear. She explained the cleaning process and made sure I understood them.
My daughter was unhappy for about 15 minutes. After that she fell asleep and forgot anything had happened when she woke up. Now nearly 2 weeks later there has been no sign of infection and we couldn’t be happier with the job. I would recommend monkeys to go to anyone looking for a piercing.

This is an awesome place! Nick did an amazing job on my little monster. He was great with my baby girl. They went over everything and answered all of our questions. It was quick.
Tip: baby has to be at least 4 months old and have proof of second round of shots.

Went here to have my jewelry changed today. Great selection. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. It was a little more money than I thought it would be but it looks super cute!

I originally found this place on Unilocal.I had a dermal piercing that had kept getting infected and healing over. I had kept holding it off because I was afraid of how painful it was going to be.
I called before going and they told me that they would be able to take it out no problem. I showed up and the very kind woman walked me through the process and calmed me through it.
When the piercer (Nick) took me into the room he told me everything he was doing as he was extracting it. There was some slight discomfort and pressure but he removed it quicker than I would have ever expected.
I would definitely return if I ever do wish the get another piercing and would definitely recommend this place for all of your piercing needs.
