Penske Collision Center

Brought my 2008 Accord here after being rear ended on my right side and it was a horrible experince. They took over 2 months for me to get my car back and there wasn’t that much damage to my car. When I did get it back I noticed they made so many mistakes. They lost the cover for the slot where you insert a key to change the gears. The interior for my passenger side was not put back together correctly. They broke a piece that goes on the back of my seat. Worst of all they left a stain on the trunk of my car where they supposedly painted. And today my passenger door handle got stuck. Every time I call or go in there personally the worker that helped me gets annoyed. For the insurance pay over 8,000 in damages, my car better be exactly how it was before the accident. For anyone that is thinking about bringing there car here or has there car there right now. I suggest you double check all there work because they make so many mistakes.

Went in to the collision dept and made the whole experience fast and easy. Employees there are great. They made sure I was completely satisfied before I walked out of the place. Definitely coming back here

I’ve been here twice because my insurance recommended them. First time, the front bumper was repaired but when I got it back, it looked dented. Had to take it back to be re-​fixed. This time, it has taken four months to receive the parts for my car which may or may not be there. But every time I have been there, it seems like I am bothering them. Nobody ever greets me when I walk in or ask how they can help. I am left standing at the counter for long stretches of time. They assign you an advisor and you’re only to work with them because no one else knows what’s going on with your vehicle. My advisor never seems to be around. I feel like I have to push them to get the job done in a decent amount of time (my neighbor had the same repairs done same day, here it took over a week). Fool me twice, shame on me for giving the benefit of the doubt. Won’t be returning.

Update… The people over at Penske Collision are great, I’ve stated that since day one… Everything got taken care of, longer than it should’ve been, but that’s mostly my fault with my busy schedule… Richard is the man you want to take care of you when you arrive… He’s always on top of everything, keeping you updated throughout the process… Paint/​body work came out perfect… No complaints what so ever… Definitely taking my vehicle here in the future, hopefully it doesn’t happen again lol… Great job guys… Happy client here

Earlier this year my wife and I purchased a 2015 Jaguar XJL. We purchased it at Penske Jaguar in Cerritos. Bill Quinn assisted us in its purchase. Great Salesman, very knowledgeable and professional. So when we got into an accident we asked Bill Quinn to recommend a Bodyshop to us. He recommended Penske Collision Center, saying they were part of the same Penske Jaguar only they were located in Downey. Upon arriving at the Downey location, my wife was met by a service advisor David Franco. We figured to have the repairs done by a dealership affiliated company. Who better to do the work? As we would later learn. Nothing could have been further from the truth. We didn’t get our car back on time as promised. (Over two weeks late). David Franco called us in the middle of our month long waiting period to tell us that they were finished with the repairs but now our rear passenger window and screen wasn’t operating. He said, they thought it was the window motor and replaced it but it still didn’t work. So they would send it to the dealer in Cerritos for diagnosis. My first thought was why did they say they replaced the window motor if they were not sure that was the problem? After being at the dealer for two days I called David to see what the deal on the window was. He said that he didn’t know that the dealer hadn’t called him. He then asked me if I wanted their number so I could call them??? I certainly believed that was his job. I got the number and called the dealer. The gentleman at the dealer informed me that the bodyshop had pinched a wire while reassembling the door panel. I must mention at the time that David Franco did get us a loaner car to use while we experienced this unprofessionalism. After the car was returned to the bodyshop on 9÷16÷15. I had originally dropped off the car on 8/14/15!!.I went to pay the remaining balance and take possession of our fixed car. David wanted me to pay first. I told him I would pay after I saw the repair work. David brings the car outside. I look at the side that was repaired and was stunned to see orange peel and drip marks from the clear coat. The fender wheel well looked like whoever had buffed the area had applied too much pressure on the corner as you could see the primer layer that was exposed from the thin coat of paint. I got upset at that point and told David to call me when the car was REALLY DONE. On 9÷22÷15 I went back per David Franco and took delivery of the Jaguar his shop had haphazardly repaired. The repaired area was improved from what it was. However It’s apparent that a subpar repair job is what we received in dealing with Penske Collision Center. Upon arriving home we discovered some mysterious orange splatter marks on our headliner. The car had 4199 miles on it. Practically brand new. There were smudge marks of where someone’s greasy fingers had been getting in and out of the car. It’s obvious no plastic seat covers were used nor floor mat covers. I noticed this the many times I visited the car while in repair. The light tan leather interior of our car was rampant with dirty finger prints and dust from not closing the door in the work areas. I figured the bodyshop would have at least washed and detail the vehicle before handing it over to the customer. He did repair a scratched rim for free for us. I was somewhat grateful for that. All I wanted was my car to be fixed and clean when returned back to me. I will never recommend this shop to anyone. They were not men of their word and David Franco was a disappointment. I waited awhile to post this on the belief that over time I wouldn’t write a harsh review. I also thought that maybe through some Divine intervention we would receive a thankyou card for our business. Needless to say, I would recommend anyone thinking about Penske Collision to RECONSIDER.

This Place Is HORRIBLE I Took My 2009 tacoma Truck To Get A Complete Detail. When I picked it up it had a quarter tank of fuel missing. The bed wasn’t wiped down the rims were still dirty. And I told the associate to wipe it down and he did a crappie job of doing it. Wow! This place has absolutely no costumer service and no pride of their work. For a 200.00 dollar complete detail it was not worth it at all. Stay away from this place if you value your money and time!

My first and only review, for sure goes to Robert from collision! Got my car in with a dent and he got it right out no problem, for sure the guy you want to go to. On top of it he and everyone else had great customer service. Only taking my car here from now on!

I smiled from ear to ear when I drove home in my car. My service advisor was David Franco and he went above and beyond to make this experience as awesome as a car repair experience can be. I bought my car here and this is the second time I’ve gotten a repair at Penske Collision both times the people did anything they could to help me with pricing, I trust this place and recommend it to anyone who needs a repair.

Where is the Zero Star Option!
Brought my car here to get fix after a front end accident. When I went to pick up, there was a large, noticeable scratch on the grille of my Optima. They offered to replace it, however they have yet to do so.

Having your car repaired is definitely a nightmare. Fortunately for me the collision center was able to make it a breeze and made my car look brand spankin’ new! So pleased with their work and especially all of David Franco’s help.
If you need any repairs done, this is the place.

If I could give David Franco and his team a hundred stars I would he has gone above and beyond for me and my family on several occasions. I purchased a new car last year in April and within two weeks somebody had vandalized it so who did I call? I called David Franco of course he’s been in the automotive body shop business since he was a kid. I called him told him my situation he said don’t worry I’m gonna take care of everything. I dropped my car off on a Monday and within a week my car had already been completely repainted color matched, buffed and looked better than new everybody always asks me why my car is shiny the paint looks like glass. Thank you David for making sure everything was done right and on time we will continue to see you for as long as we can for all of our bodyshop needs. Penske collision center definitely has the best working for them.

My dad and I have been coming to Pensky collusion center for years for both of our vehicles we always deal with David Franco who has always treated us amazing giving us not only the best customer service but has always treated us more like friends than customers… He calls with updates and fixes my car in a timely matter and every time I’ve picked it up it looks brand new!!! I appreciate his help and the staff at Pensky so much I will not only continue to do all my business here but also refer anyone in need of an amazing collision center to David !!! Just got my car back with a little help from the West Covina location. Penske in Downey corrected the little things I noticed with the work. Feeling much better with how my car looks again. Was glad everyone was able to work together with me to make me a satisfied customer with the work. They have gone over and beyond to make sure I was 100% happy with the out come of service.

Jamas volveria a llevar o recomendar este collision center, mi carro estuvo por mas dos meses y medio a que me lo entregaran y el dia que fui por mi carro descubri que me hicieron un mal trabajo y tengan mucho cuidado con todo lo que sus aseguranzas pagan por renplazar partes prq en mi carro descubri que jamas me pusieron partes que tenian que renplazar y fui yo que me di cuenta de todo esto y decirles que no me pusieron partes nuevas y jamas confien en las personas k estan encargados porque son mentirosos e irresponzables y nunca te cumplen el dia que prometieron darte tu carro y la unica cosa que si puedo decir que si me hicieron un buen trabajo en la pintura.

Richard was a huge help! I scraped the front fender of my brand new Range Rover against a wooden post in my garage. I thought for sure I was going to have to get it re-​painted. But Richard told me to stop by and have him take a look, and I’m sure glad I did! He suggested trying to buff it out first, and 10 minutes later he brought it back looking like brand new! You couldn’t even tell there had been any damage at all, except for a very small ding. But Richard referred me to a paintless dent removal guy, and now the car is back to brand new. Thanks so much Richard! I won’t be taking my car anywhere else but here for any future damage :)
