Had a great experience here. After having a terrible experience with the downtown Naperville location, I decided to give Downers Grove a call. Even though I wasn’t in their delivery area, they took my order and delivered it promptly. The food was excellent and everyone was extremely pleasant and professional. As others have mentioned, the only drawback is that they only offer delivery and carryout. Regardless, they did a great job!

What can I say about Lou Malnati’s that hasn’t already been said? This location is delivery and carryout only, which is literally the only drawback. Lou’s is hands down the best deep dish in Chicago, which in my opinion means it is the best deep dish pizza on planet Earth. If you haven’t tried Lou’s yet you should check out a location that offers dine-in service first, but for those of us that are Malnati addicts and need a fix in the west burbs, I’m thankful this location exists. DELICIOUS. LIVESUPTOTHEHYPE. DOIT.

Unfortunately I haven’t tried many items on the menu. I’ve had hot wings and pizza. I enjoyed the taste of both. I ordered the thin crust. It was slightly burnt. The deep dish was perfect though.

Had a taste for Lou’s. This experience was highly disappointing. Quality of food just wasn’t as I remembered. Ordered a large deep dish cheese and crumbled sausage pizza. The sausage was hard to find, maybe ten pieces in total. Flavor of the sauce was very bland /mild. Crust was still good. Pizza was luke warm and I had waited for it in the lobby and drove seven minutes home. Place was busy. Service was good. Not sure what’s happening in the kitchen. Won’t be back soon.

Just for the record, you cannot dine in at this location… it’s delivery or carry out only. I sometimes forget that Lou Malnati’s even exists… I have it MAYBE once a year, and it’s probably a good thing, for my waist line. I decided on our first snowy night to pick up a pizza… make that, biggest November snow fall in 120 years, but it wasn’t a blizzard and the snow had stopped by night time. I also wanted to hit up a store nearby so I figured I would call and order my pizza when I got to the store, and it would be done by the time I was done. Easy Peasy. They told me 45 minutes, kind of long but… this pizza is always well worth it! I’m sure they were busy too being a Saturday night + snow. And, I had some shopping to do so the timing was just right by the time I made my way over there. I have no idea what their think crust pizza tastes like here, but deep dish with butter crust is ONPOINT!!! Love this place!!!

First time in Chicago. Had to try the deep dish. Had a personal pie from this place and it was AWESOME!!! Had the classic(sausage with extra cheese and butter crust). It was all that!!! Never had any other deep dish pizzas ever, so this was a good first experience.

Bet Lou Malnati’s pizza I have EVER had!!! If only you could dine-in here!!! I have always gone to the downtown Naperville location, but since moving to Downers, and being out of their delivery area, we hadn’t gone and done carry-out until yesterday and it was AMAZING. A medium half cheese and half sausage — and I don’t even eat sausage and I still had a piece in addition to the cheese slices. Yummy!!! We will be coming back soon for sure.

I give them four stars because they do not offer a alternative to pork sausage & pepperoni. The deep dish cheese gets 2 thumbs up tho!

I only carry out here. On the phone, they TELL you your total(telling me my pick up time ONLY is my pet peeve). Consistently great deep dish pizza, generous salad, and great pasta here. I will be back. BTW, they do have table service…

We placed a large pick up order on Saturday night. When my husband got home from picking up the order we noticed we were missing a pizza(which was on our receipt). I called the restaurant and the manager apologized to me and said he would figure out what happened and would have a driver get the pizza to us right away. They were at our house within 20 minutes. Awesome service! As always the pizza was delicious!

A little expensive but Malnati Chicago Classic deep dish is amazing! I am NOT a deep dish fan at all but I LOVE this pizza more than I can say except we add mushrooms. Yum! Too bad it’s just a carry out location.

So one dreary and depressing January Friday, I was watching the Food Network. Tons of great food related shows, and this is usually where I get an inspiration for what I will cook for dinner that week. Well I was feeling extra cozy on the couch and just didn’t have the stamina to cook a meal. When a show called Pizza Masters starts beaming through my television screen. Why they happened to be a Lou Malnati’s in Chicago! They met with the owner and made a fresh pie just for my viewing pleasure! How nice of them. And yes… this is the reason why my fingers decided to dial the number of the closest Lou Malnati’s so I can order dinner for tonight. They got me! And yes, it was a comforting meal for this cold January evening. This happens to be my favorite Chicago deep dish pizza places ever. This location seems to be spot on. I’ve called for take out a few times and the service is always pleasant. The pizzas are always ready when they say they will be. And they are always as delicious as ever. If you are wanting a delicious, buttery crust, and filling meal — call and ask for the Lou. Best. Pizza. Ever. The end.

Simply one of the best pizzas around. Great service as well! We take all of our out of town guests here and everyone loves it.

The deep dish pizza looks great, but don’t get too excited. It is super thick and filling, and surely packs on the pounds, but it’s tasteless. The crust is crunchy and actually reminds me of Pizza Hut crust, only thicker. There is a heavy layer of cheese with a pool of watery tomato sauce on it. The pepperoni had a sharp, spicy taste, but that’s about it. I feel like I gained 50 pounds and didn’t even enjoy it. And I have about 80 pounds of pizza left!

Ordered a large deep dish, nothing special, don’t understand the hype. Will stick with Giordano’s much better quality.

For some reason, Lou Malnati’s Pizza doesn’t deliver in the Oak Brook Area. So if you’re visiting, you’ll have to drive 5 miles to get your deep dish pizza fix. UberX to the rescue. I asked for the Lou’s Deep dish and had them precut the pie since I don’t have any knife at the hotel. The crust was a bit soggy by the time I got back but its okay. The whole pizza … Uhm. Just lacked flavor. Sorry if I’m being picky. Lou Malnati’s use one recipe for their pizzas for all their restaurants. This place most probably got low ratings because they only do delivery and pick ups. The other Lou Malnati with a sit down option have a 5 star rating. Yet for me, its not just the lack of dine in option. It’s the flavor. It was lacking. The two things I was very excited to try in Chicago were both disappointing. I guess I’ll stick to Downey Pizza Co. moving forward.

This place desperately needs to be full service. Pickup and delivery only is insulting to the neighbors they’re catering to. Would a few tables and a waitress really be so difficult?

What’s not to like? Your Malnati’s pizza will be ready and waiting when they say it will be ready. Your order will be correct. Need a pizza at a specific time? You can do that too. We phoned in an order from I-57 while driving home from a trip to KY for the holidays. Our pepperoni & mushroom masterpiece was hot and ready to go when we arrived. Since parking is easy, we were in & out & on our way home in a flash. Convenient. Delicious. Want 5 stars? Put a Lou’s in Lombard.

The only thing I don’t like about this Lou Malnati’s is that you cannot dine in, it’s delivery/take-out only. But… The take-out is super fast. The pizza is hot, the order is right, and they do tomato & spinach perfectly! They don’t pile on the spinach, making the crust soggy like others have. Always a reliable place to pick up pizzas.

Had the pizza delivered to my office and… as always Lou… I heart your pizza and buttery crust and I will always rave about you to my friends out of state. Hands down, the best pizza pie ever. We also tried their buffa-Lou wings too and my co-workers said, «I think I found my new wings place now.» I didn’t try any because, you know, it’s all about the pizza. Nom nom nom.
