Good ice cream at a good price and location. They also have dog ice cream!
I don’t like how there are usually trashy kids/​teens loitering in there.

Very disappointed. All I ordered was a cappuccino. A young girl with headphones in got up from sitting at one of the customers tables when I got in. She was seated with another young guy on his phone. Tacky.
So she got up and made me the cappuccino, and it took forever I don’t know why! I was headed to the T which is on that block. Finally I got to enjoy my drink, and went outside towards the T.
The beverage was luke warm! Like the temperature of water when it comes out the faucet. I was disgusted and poured it out, threw it away in the trash receptacle on the sidewalk.
Seems like a run down place to me. Never going back.

Their selection of flavors is limited compared to larger ice cream shops. Their specialty flavors usually bring it – their grasshopper pie and blueberry pancake (with actual maple syrup in it!) this summer helped me gain another 10 pounds.
The cookies/​blondies/​brownies also are nomnomnom.
I moved to this neighborhood hoping to lose weight with all the walking I was planning on doing. This joint nullified that.

Awesome flavors! This neighbourhood gem is right by my house so I come here pretty often when I’m craving some ice cream or the baked goods they have there. I always buy the brownies (only 2 $!!). There’s a variety of flavors and the seasonal ones taste amazing! Right now they have salted caramel pretzel and it’s
, totally worth trying. Only con is that it’s a little overpriced for me, but it’s worth it in the long run!
75 cents a topping though? A bit much, but who can say no to whipped cream?

All though they might have great ice cream the kids from Christo rey high school hang in their and out side the store and are very disrespectful and will not move out of your way when going by or in the store.

This place has various options. From Dog treats to candies, smoothies, sport drinks, milkshake and more. If you ever feel the need to go to an ice cream shop on a hot day. This is definitely the place to go to.

Savin Scoop is a cool, neighborhood joint. There’s nothing to write home about, but they have tasty ice cream and offer standard prices and friendly service. They have a good selection of flavored, cones, toppings, etc. they also sell candy and other goodies.

Their ice cream is ok. The service is atrocious. Its amazing that even when there isn’t anyone there it will take 15 minutes for an iced coffee or a scoop of ice cream. Everyone behind the counter seems completely clueless an acts like they have never had a customer before. Not worth the hassle to go there.

I’ve been in Savin Scoop a number of times and my experience last night unfortunately makes me want to write a review.
First of all, I usually have a good experience at Savin Scoop. It’s clean, cute and very charming. They serve Bliss Ice cream which I grew up with and love. They even sell dog ice cream which is pretty great.
Last night however, I had a nightmare experience. I went in with only two people ahead of me and with two people working the counter, it took at least 5 minutes for someone to ask me what I wanted (by that time forming a line of 10 people behind me). One of the employees was too busy re-​stocking rather than serving their customers on a 85 degree prime ice cream day. When she finally got to me, I asked if there was any more peanut butter cup ice cream (there was just a smidge left in the container and I knew not enough to fill my order). She looked slowly through the freezers and then said no which was fine, not their fault. I then asked for Mocha Chip and she said, sorry, we’re actually out of that too. Not you’re not! I can see it!
Now, here is my issue. The customer she served before me asked for change for a dollar. She used her hands to sift through her change cup, did not wash them and then served me my ice cream. I watched her hold the ice cream on the cone as she scooped it (so she did touch something I’d be eating directly). I get holding the ice cream on to scoop, I used to scoop myself. But I would have definitely washed my hands after handling money!
She broke the $ 1 waffle cone I had ordered so it had to be put in a cup. She offered to re-​scoop but by that time, the line had grown deeper so I said forget it, just put in the cup.
I was then rung up-​and charged for my cup! Um, no.
THEN, at the end of this, I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip. Sorry. I usually do because like I said, I’ve done this gig before, tips are awesome. But I can’t leave you one because that was miserable.
I’m not never going back-​but I hope that someone sees this and tells the employees to be a little lighter on their feet, don’t ask customers for tips and to WASH HANDS when you handle bills/​change and directly touch ice cream and food. Especially when customers see this.

They forgot to put a topping on my order. I didn’t realize until I was halfway through, I thought it’d be at the bottom. I think rather than charge per topping you should pay a flat fee for self serve toppings.
Very good place, the menu was cool. Prices low, convenient location, a lot of cool snacks in there.

Good locally made ice cream. The Monster Mash was great; many flavors but not overwhelming the palette.

Good ice cream; nothing to write home about, but has a well stocked variety of flavors, and I’ve never had anything I didn’t enjoy. The pastries (they seem handmade) are suprisingly excellent — I highly recommend grabbing a few of these if you make it in, which bring me to the reason for writing this…
I’ve lived around the corner from Savin Scoop for a few years now and am still surprised when I see it open. Seriously. I have no idea how this place makes any money; it seems to be perpetually closed. I stopped by twice during the week (around 8:30) to no avail. Today at 9pm (a clear skied, summery, 75° Saturday night) I actually found the employees inside, and the door wasn’t locked! Result: «Sorry sir, we’re closed.»
No disappointment though. I’m amazed anyone was there at all, and planned on grabbing a shake from BK anyway. If you’re traveling more than a few blocks, calling ahead is highly recommended…

Went to Savin scoop last. New to dorchester area and trying out new spots all the time.
This ice cream was the worst I’ve ever had. It tasted slimy and freezer burned. Will not be going back any time soon. I tried moose tracks and my fiancé had black raspberry and choc chip. All flavors equally as bad.
Go to Boston Ice Cream Factory if you want good ice cream this summer.

Graham Central Station? I’m a fan.
This looks like it’s a good place for tweens or families with younger children to hang out. It’s not really for my husband and I. But that doesn’t stop us from getting ice cream from them!
We bought four pints of different flavors of ice cream and took them home. Really comparable to Ben & Jerry’s if not even better!

A friend took me here for ice cream and I thought this spot had its charm. It was cute, clean, and not too cramped. The high ceilings lend to a more airy décor.
I tried the Graham Central Station and I thought it was one of the better ones I’ve had. I’ve tasted rather «artificial» versions of the flavor, like some having really awful tasting graham crackers. Whereas Savin’s offering was better tasting and creamier.
Service was nice and was willing to offer samples. Prices are decent for the area.

SO MUCH ICE CREAM.
I got a sunday and it was massive. For 2 or 3 people for sure! We didn’t know, and the two of us got two. We later put them in the freezer and ate them the next day too.
I got the s’mores one and can’t wait for another. My friend got the reese’s one and it was very heavy. Need some milk or water with it.
Pretty quick service. A lot goes into those sunday’s.

Had a very pleasant experience here! Service was cheerful and friendly. The staff had great energy and immediately offered me a sample when I walked in. I had the Gram Central Station (graham cracker ice cream with chocolate covered graham pieces) and Banana. Prices were reasonable and it was absolutely delicious! Definitely will file this place away for the future; so glad I stopped in!

On a 20 degree, windy as heck, makes you want to cry it’s not even winter yet but you’re afraid those tears will just freeze to your face type of New England day, I was parked across the street waiting to pick up my sister, saw a ice cream shop and though «I should go in!»
Okay, I didn’t go for the Savin Scoop, but instead jumped for the Chai tea late. At 3.75, for a piping hot cup of sweet goodness i couldn’t have been happier. Except — it really was that piping hot. Despite freezing, I couldn’t drink it for another 20 minutes or so (so be careful!)
I’ll have to swing back in for icecream some day… like July type day.

I really REALLY want to like this place, but can’t.
I find their ice cream subpar. I’ve tasted better from the supermarket shelf. There’s no richness and little creaminess to it.
Their soft serve is better, but they have only one size cone for it. Great for a child-​size cone, but anything larger and the ice cream falls over. I am always offered a dish with it, but if I’d wanted the dish I’d order it in the first place.
The owner is very nice, but I hardly see him there anymore. His employees but for one are also nice, but I wish they’d pick up speed and co-​ordinate better. Just today one young man took my order, told the other employee what I wanted then left for the back. No problem except the second one was busy with another customer! This was not the first time this has happened.
I dislike the layout of the store. I can never tell who’s coming or going. There’s no place for a line. A couple of times I’ve had people who had come in after me get served before me.
A big positive are their brownies and blondies. Some of the best I’ve ever had!
In the end, their ice cream is over-​priced and under-​flavored. Though right down the street from me, I’d rather take the drive down to Lower Mills (IceCreamSmith) or Brigham Circle (JP Licks) for the real deal.

Ahh I love this place
This is the perfect spot for ice cream, and especially during the summer!!! The staff were great and extremely friendly. The ice cream here was delicious. I enjoyed it very much actually and so did my baby brother.
The only thing is that it’s a little crowded and there aren’t too many seating so sometimes you would have to order and be on your way.
I’ve only been here a couple of times and had a good experience so I would definitely come back in the future!
