A Woman’s Concern

While searching for information for a project on reproductive health and rights, I came across A Women’s Concern. While it may at first appear to be a location where a woman could find «a safe place to share your thoughts and think through your options», the serious misinformation on their site leads me to believe that an appointment would only involve the same kind of issues.
For example, on their section of the site on Plan B, they explain that it «prevents the newly conceived baby from implanting itself onto the lining of the uterus (Implantation).
Emergency Contraception can cause a very early abortion when it acts in the third way, because during conception, a new human life is created».
However, after further research I found that:
«You should not take Plan B if you are already pregnant since it will not work» and «Emergency contraceptive pills will not cause an abortion. EC is not the same as the abortion pill. There is no point in a woman’s cycle when the emergency contraceptive pills available in the United States would end a pregnancy once it has started. Hormonal emergency contraceptive pills don’t have any effect if you are already pregnant.»

Furthermore, the say that they will help you with «learning about all the options you have in this situation». However, no information on abortions is listed. They also claim to provide «nonjudgmental services», but profess firmly that abortions are not needed.
I was thoroughly disappointed to find a center that promises help and the full explanation of options to pregnant women that entirely eschews the inclusion of abortion. An option that is entirely viable and medically sound.
