The entrance to this trail is at the overflow parking area of the Diamond Bar center. The city did a great job with this trail opening — beautiful. Nice dirt pathways and thick wooden railings along the trail. The beginning is down hill with some stairs. There are lots of trees until you reach the steep winding part where there are no trees at all. There’s also one part where you can continue to go right or left. Going left leads you to the ridge route/steep canyon trail and also another winding trail. Going right leads you back to the Diamond Bar center. The hike itself is pretty short, about 2 – 3 miles I’m guessing. It’s a nice local hike to get exercise, fresh air, and to enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the city.
