Devon Bowling Lanes

Horrible place. We will never go back. The place is a total scam and they will take your credit card on a ride The long hair gentleman behind the front desk is extremely rude and honestly I think he hates kids. Beware if you plan to have a child’s birthday or a social event.

Horrible service! Especially the man at the front desk! Description-​Long grey hair and a nasty attitude! We were very friendly to him and he treated us like we were nothing! We asked for our money back and and HE dropped a quarter and than he started yelling at me about it! I would like some feedback from the owners when he is fired! If I was an employee anywhere I would treat the customers like they were royalty not like pest! The bowling alley its self looked nice. Almost like a classic! But I absolutely positively could not get over the negative energy! Never ever come here, at least with him as an employee!!!

Kid friendly but score screens and everything feel like they are from the seventies. If you want to go somewhere and just chuck the ball down the lane and don’t really care about the score this is your place. There were many pin issues and pins needing to be reset scores not being counted etc.. This is just not a very good bowling alley

A nice little BYOB set of lanes in Devon. I’m not sure if there was something particularly special with the pins or that the lanes were shorter or something, but I bowled my all time high of 182 there! I normally average 100 – 130 so 6 strikes, including a turkey in the first three frames was something!
At first we had a malfunction with one of our lanes not registering the slower rolls of some of the ladies bowling with us, but they were happy to switch us over. We went on a Friday around 3 pm and it was pretty empty.
It’s very clean, but I can’t speak to how it is during any other times. It was a nice place and I would definitely go back again for another team building.

a group of 6 of us went bowling on friday night and the behavior of the staff was very unsatisfactory. They were rude and were constantly watching us despite how polite we were being. We asked for more cups for the drinks we brought because he didnt give us enough and he told us that if we threw any out we would have to share because he wouldn’t give us anymore. We also ordered a pizza through the services they provide and he said to his coworker that «i dont want to order anymore damn pizzas».

Even for me, BYOB can only go so far.
On the last visit, our lane was malfunctioning as usual (had to get someone to go down and reset the lane on the very first frame). On the second frame, it had malfunctioned again, and at that point the girl working the desk came up to us. At first I thought maybe she just noticed it had broken again was being proactive, but instead she said (and this is pretty much verbatim): «We messed up the schedule tonight and actually have two big parties coming in so could you guys like bowl faster.»
We were on the second frame of the first game (had only been bowling for a maximum of 5 minutes), were bowling so slow in the first place because the lane was breaking basically each frame, and for $ 27 for two people to bowl two games on a crappy malfunctioning lane the last thing I expect is to be told to bowl faster.
No apology was offered at any point. Do not plan to return anytime soon.

Good family centric bowling facility hidden in the basement. Lots of fun 10 pin only. Very kid friendly with bumpers and ball ramps. Hosted a family party with private rooms for these types of events.

I gave one star because thats the lowest rating possible. Very rude and unfriendly staff. Treated us like we don’t know to read or literate. Asked for help when the board turned off and ignored us like we dint exist. I don’t have much to say about this place. the balls are dented. and that’s all.

Might as well stay home! We believed that there machines were glitched, so we asked them if they were. They cursed out the kids, and they threw some of us out. Also, there sodas and food are a ridiculous waste of money.

Devon Lanes is a straightforward, affordable, BYOB bowling alley. There’s nothing flashy about that place, but that can be a good thing. You can walk in with your own pizza and beer (or other food or beverage of your choosing) and bowl for a couple of hours without hassle.

Is it fancy like a North Bowl or Lucky Strike? No
Is it going to blow your mind? No
But is it a decent bowling alley that is BYOB and has nice staff? Absolutely. Cant beat a place that has great hourly deals (especially if you call through the website and book in advance) and allows you to bring in your own drinks. Its a little out of the way for us but we always go to Devon Lanes because of this.

I am a big bowler and have been to plenty of bowling centers in the area and around the country.
This place is just dull.
I stopped in on a Sunday morning and there was literally 5 people there and 2 worked there.
That’s usually unusual for people bowling as Sunday mornings are when you can get a Sunday special deal.
I’ll digress, the place is clean, slightly dated and was open. They had a few parties when I was there and this is positive to see a bunch a kids but overall the experience left much to the imagination and definitely there are better places in the area to go.

This place is kind of a dump. I mean I’m not exactly a bowling connoisseur, but I have been to a lot of bowling alleys in and around the area … and this is definitely not one of the better ones. I didn’t realize there was no booze or food… So that kind of put a damper on things. There was nothing really wrong… but there was nothing really right either…
I will say there were enough bowling balls, everyone else received nice new shoes, (while mine were like falling apart)… And there was no real issues with the lanes or scoring… So that was nice, I guess.

Devon lanes has a fair amount of specials and is byob which is pretty cool. Nothing worse than an alley with a no alcohol policy. I’m giving this a 3 for having no snackbar, poor lane conditions and not the friendliest staff.

A BYOB bowling alley-what’s not to like about that? Clean with newer balls, shoes and scoring system. When you’ve got to bowl, this be the place in this area.

Ok place for bowling. They are BYOB, so there’s no bar, snack bar, and not a whole of arcade games, so be prepared to bowl – there’s no distractions. The staff is friendly and you can easily get a lane on weekend night. There was one Saturday night we came in to bowl and they were having a charity fundraiser, so they were closed to the public, but I think that was a rare occasion.

If I’m going bowling — it’s at the devon lanes. It’s way down lancaster but worth it. BYOB is nice. Went on a saturday night — DISCO NIGHT! The group of awkward 13 year old girls in the lane next to us made it so much more authentic. My goal is life is to be as much of a baller as «the dude» from the big lebowski so if anyone wants to go bowling pretty much everyday, give me a call :)

I arranged for our company to have our «team building» outing here back in February. They rates were good, the staff was very friendly & accommodating to our large crowd, even when we arrived almost an hour later than planned. The place was clean and they do have lots of lanes available. They have a few small private rooms to have parties in, and I think you can arrange catering through them.
