It’s definitely pay day when we get Gregg’s pizza! The price may be higher than the commercial pizza spots, but the quality is definitely better… speaks for itself.
I worked for Gregg’s for a long time as a teenager and can attest to the fresh ingredients and toppings. From the dough to the sauce, everything is made fresh daily.
Absolutely the beat pizza in Detroit!

I had the round veggie for just under $ 15. It was edible. Fresh ingredients but crust has no pizzaz. Square slice to go was undercooked and doughy. I prefer chain pizza to this.

I’m in Detroit on business, and I always like to try local non-​chain restaurants wherever I go. The people I’m working with recommended Gregg’s and said it’s fantastic. I went there to get lunch takeout, and all I can say is DAMN! This is some great pizza! :) I also got a Greek salad, which was really not too good, but the pizza is some of the best I’ve had anywhere. i got a small pepperoni and mushroom pizza, and it was enough for three meals for one person. i’ll be back!

Greggs is just down the street from my house, and his in my opinion the best pizza in the city. Thin crust, great toppings greasy but not too greasy. Delicious, straight up. Relatively good service.
Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that it is over priced. A large 3 topping will run you like 23 bucks, which is to much in my opinion. But it’s worth it to splurge once in a while because its the best.

Fresh hot food ** about a 10 min wait ** friendly staff ** I’m absolutely in love with their pizza over any one else’s.

This is my first review so I’m a little nervous (smile). Well I’ve been going to Gregg’s since I was a child. It was the bomb then and it still is 20+ years later. I always get the personal size pizza (bambino) with ground beef, pepperoni and banana peppers. Sometimes I switch it up a little but always ground beef because it is soooooooo good. The crust is tasty (not too thin or thick) and the sauce is mild but flavorful. Every now and then Iike every restaurant they have a bad day where they over do it with the toppings or sauce. Some people like their pizza sloppy but I like mines spreaded out evenly!!! Overall this is my second favorite pizza joint to visit it reminds me of my teenage years. You should try it too.

Good food at a great price, close to the campus of UofD. I went there to get food for a campus bible study and I had wings and 2 large pizzas. The food was fast and fresh. Definitely recommend it

Gregg’s Pizza has been at this location for at least 20 years. The time spent in this community is proof that Gregg’s can go toe to toe with all of the corporate franchises that pop throughout the city.
I have been a fan of Gregg’s since I can remember. I’m a fan because they believe in toppings and not bread. I know there are some tasty deep dishes out there but for me Gregg’s thin crust is where it’s at.
My suggestion is the veggie (or meat supreme). Talk about loaded with veggies from here to the sun, without them nickle and dimming you for the extras. In my book Gregg’s is the best hands down!

Gregg’s Pizza is nothing short of fantastic. I was exposed to this place by one of my business partners who was born and raised in the city of Detroit.
Although I dont like Pizza with a whole bunch of crap on it, when you go to Gregg’s you have to get «The Works» which is basically a 17 inch pie with everything on it.
The place is generally packed and sits right in the hood, but having a pie from here is absolutely worth it!
I have never tried the barbecue, b/​c I never thought that a restaurant could be good at both Pizza and BBQ, I guess its just a strange pet peeve of mine… nonetheless the pizza supercedes expectations!
