Maintenance Made Easy

Was told they’re «just too busy» without even hearing what it is I wanted done at my home. Sheeesh!

I called to ask for help with a few things around my house and was told «they are too busy and just cannot help me». This company came highly recommended to me so to have been dismissed so easily is not just bad manners but bad business. I will never call again.

I oversee 12 salons across the Chicagoland area and I refuse to use anyone but Bill and the MME crew. He has been working with us since 2004 and IS AVAILABLE AT A MOMENT’S NOTICE. His work is second to none, he is extremely professional, fair, honest and handles whatever task I throw his way in a timely manner. Over the last 9 years, Bill and MME have completed work in the following but not limited to:
–Plumbing Repair (toilets, drains, etc.)
–Electrical Work (ballast replacement, electrical upgrades, buck booster/​transformer repair/​installation. It seems as though no job is too small or big for them)
–Painting/​Drywall (installation, repair, patching, etc.)
–Hardware (fixing door hinges, locks, door handles, etc.)
–HVAC Repair
I know this sounds a bit biased, but Bill and his team are truly a jack of all trades. I am extremely content with the services provided and the QUALITY OF WORK performed. They are the sole reason why I have never opted to use anyone else to complete any work/​repairs at all of my salons.
To sum up this entire post, Bill and MME are FAIR, RELIABLE and PROFESSIONAL at all times. They are a 5 Star company in my book, and I will continue to recommend them across the board.

I got in touch with Bill to get electrical issues assessed and fixed.
Here are reasons for my positive experience with M2Easy and why I would recommend them: —
(1) Punctuality:
I live 8 hours away from my Niles, IL condo that I am renting out; made an appointment with Bill to review issues one evening I was in Niles and he arrived on time. On the repair-​day, he arrived on finished the planned work (and more) within the estimated time.
(2) Flexibility:
We agreed on what needed to be done — timing wasn’t decided because parts had to be ordered. In the meanwhile, my prop. mgr. noticed an issue with a ceiling fan — Bill agreed to look into it and wisely advised us to be ready to replace it.
Parts came in a couple of weeks later and he scheduled an appt to do repairs immediately with my property manager (who in turn worked with new tenants). He agreed to complete this on a weekend day.
Also, he has been regular in answering/​returning phone calls almost any time of day.
Lastly, I was able to pay using my bank’s PoPMoney (Pay Other People) method… that was convenient.
(3) Resourcefulness:
On repair day, I wasn’t able to buzz him in because my phone ran out of battery while I was asleep! Bill was smart enough to not let that hinder his progress and worked with an on-​site maintenance crew member to reach the condo. I was extremely relived to hear that when I woke up — it would have been quite some rescheduling hassles if he hadn’t figured a way out!
(4) Cost (and savings):
Labor cost is typical for the area. Savings came from Bill fixing the old ceiling fan by tightening a few screws and eliminating the parts/​labor required to replace it. It’s refreshing to see someone do only what is *absolutely* necessary!
I definitely would go back to this company for future needs given all the other positive experiences I’ve read about.

I would recommend this company. I have used them three times. 2 times were for urgent toilet issues, and they came same day. The 3^rd time was not as urgent, but still came the morning of the next day. They get the job done quickly and effectively, and at a reasonable price.

We’ve used them for all sorts of household projects that involved electrical work, installing light fixtures, reinforcing cabinetry, fixing and/​or replacing antique glass door knobs, reinforcing sconce fixtures, installing stone fixtures to the limestone on the rooftop, etc. They’re reliable, trustworthy, and very punctual. lWe’re considering them for our future kitchen remodeling project and painting the common hallways in our two-​flat.

Maintenance Made Easy has been my «go to» handyman company for about 5 years. They are knowledgable, HONEST, and reliable. And their prices are appropriate and reasonable. I recommend them highly.

Bill is responsive, but gave one price over the phone and in person, then doubled the price two weeks later. This was for a window installation. His window expert was virtually impossible to get a hold of. I did not move forward with the project with them because of the lack of response.

Called these guys out for a minor toilet repair. On the phone, I was quoted $ 55 and a 2 hour wait. It was closer to a 4 hour wait, but for the same day service, I’m not complaining! Service was great and the price was reasonable (albeit $ 20 more than the phone quote — again, not complaining) and he was quick and did a great job. I wouldn’t hesitate to call these guys again for handyman services.

How do you write a review for someone who has literally changed your life?
I don’t have the words to express the joy, satisfaction, and content that I have felt since Maintenance Made Easy has come into my life.
They gave me something that I desperately needed. TIME!
To make a long story short, my husband and I purchased a 1930’s brick bungalow 11 years ago. Being naïve, it was the vintage Chambers Stove that won us over. We’ve had to constantly upgrade, refinish, redo, and remodel. We remodeled our kitchen 4 years ago around this vintage stove. At that time, we were willing to live without a dishwasher. I wasn’t willing to sacrifice storage space in place of a dishwasher. I have never had a dishwasher in my life, it didn’t seem to be a necessity.
Fast forward to today. I have my own OCD foodie. He’s 4 years old and refuses to use the same utensils for foods that are sweet or salty. Dishes were piling up, and I felt as if I was constantly washing dishes. Stuff didn’t feel clean. After spending a few afternoons at a friend’s house, playing with her dishwasher, and fearing the hoarding habits that run rampant in both of our families, the time had come. I really didn’t need to have 4 junk drawers or a cabinet full of misc pans that were never used.
We bought a dishwasher. Had no idea that they would not install it if there was not an old one in place. We called a friend for a quote; he promised that he would try to install it for us in a few weeks. That box sat in my kitchen for almost a month. I hate to wait. I sent inquiries through Service Magic, and called several contractors on Unilocal.Maintenance Made Easy called me immediately. Bonus, they were able to come within the week.
These guys are incredible. I needed to have the plumbing and electrical pulled in order to have a dishwasher. I also needed to have the cabinets and drawers removed. This was not an easy task due to the layout of our kitchen. It could not go alongside the sink as each cabinet was barely 17 inches wide. The only place that it could be put was around the corner, under the counter almost 4 feet away. I liked that Bill and his worker put thought into it, that they did not just give me what I wanted to get the job. They measured, they did their homework. They had to make sure that the discharge tube would not back up due to the distance. The job that they did was incredible. They also retrofit a small cabinet for me to slide in baking tins and cutting boards with the extra space.
I am so happy and thrilled to have a dishwasher that I could scream. The time that it has given me is priceless. I will not use any other contractor other than Maintenance Made Easy. They are the best and they are fair. They are also quick, clean, and great guys to have around.
P. S. Imagine having Ray Liotta and Lloyd Bridges doing work at your house. My husband didn’t think that it was funny, but I got a kick out of it.

These guys are AWESOME — timely and thorough. Whenever I have a need to call Bill, he’s there and does an amazing job at a very great rate. Very upfront, very agreeable, very easy to work with. I highly reccomend them for any household or commerical project — there isn’t anything these guys can’t do — just today, they repaired for us an 85 year old bell tower — it’s been down for months, they had it working in about an hour.
