The Gateway Church is a vibrant faith community centered in and committed to the city of Des Moines. We are a diverse community of people seeking a renewed approach to Christian spirituality and committed to live the teachings of Jesus in the culture and context of our city.

Join us Sundays at 10am at Central Campus where people of all ages can learn what it means to follow Jesus. We have safe, engaging and age-​appropriate environments for children ages 0 – 12.

History

Established in 2009.

Since its inception in March, 2009, the dream of Gateway has been to create a life-​giving church centered in and committed to the city of Des Moines. We began in a living room. A small, ragtag community asking God to stir us in word and deed with his love for Des Moines.

When the church grew, we prayed that God would position us in the heart of the city, where the call to love Des Moines would be a daily opportunity.

For nearly three years, we’ve existed in the Temple for Performing Arts and grew to over 250 people. In September, 2012 The Gateway Church began meeting Sundays at 10am in the Central Campus Auditorium on 1800 Grand Avenue.

Meet the Manager

Paul S.

Manager

Pastor Paul Stewart is the founding pastor of The Gateway Church. He is passionate about seeing God’s renewal in the city of Des Moines. Paul graduated from North Central University in Minneapolis and Bethel Seminary in St. Paul.
