Motor Vehicle Administration: Emissions Inspection Program

Wow. What a striking difference there is compared to MVA services. If you come early in the morning, the wait is rather short. The total time I spent until the completion was about 20 min. You pull up, hop out of your car and before you know it your inspection will be complete.
I’ll share one secret that a lot of procrastinators will find useful. If you are overdue for an inspection, you are charged hefty fees (~$ 20/​month). In all fairness, I didn’t get my inspection notice and I told the attendant and he brought his manager to override the late fees. I’m sure you get my point :)

Wow, this place is pretty dang efficient! There were several lines open and most cars were zipping through at about 5 minutes each. When we arrived, we were fourth in line. After just 2 – 3 minutes, the first car was done! From arrival to finish, we were probably there about 15 minutes.
Just be sure to bring, your emissions test slip that the MVA mailed to you, $ 14 in cash or credit, and know where your on-​board diagnostic outlet is located. Our technician had a little trouble finding it below the steering wheel. Luckily, I knew exactly where it was so that definitely expedited matters.
Also, definitely follow the signs for the MVA when you’re in the vicinity. I almost got onto 200 by mistake! Whew, dodged a ticket there!

We got here around 3:30pm and there were 6 lanes, each of the lanes at least 6 cars deep. I had received my Emissions notice back in May, stating that I must have the test done by July 21^st, but like a true procrastinator, I applied for an extension online the day before the due date and it was granted. The extension delayed expiration until November something.
The line went by fairly quickly considering all of the cars surrounding us. My only fear was that I’d get rejected because I didn’t have my Emissions paperwork on me, luckily all I needed was my car registration which had my title number. The technician was able to conduct the test, he was super friendly and although it took 20 minutes to get to the front, it took less than 5 minutes to complete my session. Pleasant process and I needless to say, I passed. w00t w00t!

Went at 12:30pm on a Wednesday afternoon, service was quick! I was in and out in around 10 minutes, the staff were very friendly and the experience was overall painless. borderline enjoyable!

Stopped by the emissions station to get my car checked out and meet the MVA requirements.
The line was long when I for there but it moved at a good speed. The technicians working here are efficient and friendly. They performed the inspection in a few minutes and I was able to get both my cars inspected in a couple of hours, including driving back home to get the second car!

Decent process of handling a steady flow of vehicles. But it is strange how some bays have two people working and others do not. There is no indication as to which bay has two or one unless you look first before committing to a lane — that is if you are always in a hurry like me and wanting to do errands quickly.

This was fairly painless… which begs the question; why did I wait until it was way overdue to do.
When I drove up there were no cars (Thursday at 3:30pm), however within minutes, there was about 6 cars that drove up.
I literally sat in the car during 80 percent of the inspection.
Pull Up
Pop my fuel tank open
Turn off my car
Get out of my car and pay 14 dollars
He plugs in the doo-​hicky uner the steering wheel
He’s done
Tells me to get back in my car
Tells me I passed and it’s good for two years
I drive away.
I was probably there a total of 15 minutes.
If only the regular MVA was that freakin’ easy. I bet that’s what it’s like in heaven. At the Heaven MVA you just drive up, they give you a license, have you pay a nominal fee, and send you on your way.
Oh heaven MVA — I can’t wait.

I think it’s funny we all are leaving Unilocal reviews on a compulsory service for anyone who owns a car. The whole purpose of Unilocal — that is, to provide feedback as background information for a business to determine its efficacy and to help consumers decide on a single purveyor of service among many competitors — is negated by such compulsion. It’s not like we can go anywhere else to get this service done…
So, you come to this location to get your emissions checked. You’ll wait in line behind 2 – 10 cars. Each car takes about five minutes to get checked, and then you pay.
Be sure to bring your registration and identification cards! Get here early to avoid lines! Be polite to the attendants!

Not too much to say… I appreciate the signs posted pointing me in the right direction to this place. The staff was nice as well. Guess I’ll see them in two years!

At some point all of us Marylanders have to get Emissions on our vehicles.
This place is pretty straight forward, you pull up, you wait, you get your Emissions checks and you leave.
Just plan ahead for the least busy days and you will be in and out in no time.
If you don’t than well guess what, it will be busy and you will have to wait.
No rocket science here. Everyone was friendly when I went so I’m Happy.

its an emmisons MVA. Not much to explain.

Flawless customer service. I can’t say the same for the main MVA offices. On a weekday, the place was not packed at 9:30am. I needed to settle some late notices on a family account since we moved and didn’t get them, and they were very understanding of my case.
Not only did the front desk guy chat with me about where I was from and make small talk, but the staff all had a good rapport with each other. The manager came out and helped us with out account with no questions asked.
They did my emissions test quickly, and bid me a great day. Thanks MVA VEIP for making what could have been a huge headache become an easy fix!

They open at 7:00 am on Tuesdays and I was there at 7:15 am. The line was not long and they had me in and out in no time.
The staff was courteous. They made this necessary evil a very pleasant experience.
