This place stinks(literally)… we went in for a pick up, however sat at the bar for about 20 minutes. When we got back to work we noticed we did not get our soup, which is supposed to come with the«lunch special». We called and they were rude, said it is for dine in only… pretty much didn’t care. Which I say again we sat at the bar for 20 minutes so they surely could have offered to give us our soup. Food was mediocre at best… the chicken was chewy and tasted like fish… I will NEVER go back. I had a coupon and it wasn’t even worth it

Cute restaurant, I liked the decorations. This is the only reason there is a star in my review. We had lunch which was pad Thai and came with soup. The soup was supposed to be spicy and it was not. But was also like warm. The pad Thai was ok, but Luke warm. The server was slow even though he did not seem that busy. I won’t be back until someone tells me the food is hot.

Watered down soups. Soggy fried rice. Prices were decent. Portions were ok. Overall, not a place recommended. If you get lost and end up here, turn around and go to Liang’s Thai food stand on the next corner.

I have been to this place twice and both times the food has been good. The first time I went(about 3yrs ago) the food and service were good. This last time, however, we got not so good service. When we first got there, at 7pm on a Saturday, they had 3 tables including ours. We sat around for like 20mins before the server came by to even ask us for drinks and then she didn’t even do that. She jumped to are we ready to order. We were mostly but just for the pure fact that it took her that long to come to us we told her that we would like to order drinks first. We did and then when she came back we ordered our food. All of the appitizers were delicious and everyone said their entrees were really good as well. I chose to order the same thing I had the previous time which was the pattaya sizzling. Last time I had it they used shrimp, mussels, and calamari. Amazing! This time instead of calamari they used tilapia. Not a good choice for this entrée. The mussels and shrimp were good but the fish was mush. I didn’t even finish the the fish. Also, for the price you don’t get much seafood, especially when you can’t eat part of it. I had about 3 or 4 shrimp and mussels and about the same amount of fish. They fill the dish up with peppers and onions but other than the nasty fish, it really is a good dish. They just really need to stick with calamari in it. So as we sat there eating the restaurant got busier and suddenly our slow server became a much better server. Makes no sense to me. Anyway, because the service was so slow at first and the tilapia was gross, I am only giving this place 3 stars. Hopefully they can get their act together because most of their food is really good and the atmosphere is cool. For an appitizer I recommend the money bags.

This place is lovable, I used to come here frequently when I was an intern off Welton. Their Pad Thai is exceptional! The service has been hit and miss but overall is pretty good. I came here not long ago to meet a girlfriend and was happy that their food was consistently good just as I remember from my wee college days. The won tons are extra awesome here. The atmosphere and décor are extremely pleasant and the pricing is to be expected for the area.

Great lunch prices. Not the best chicken pad thai I’ve ever had, but it was not bad. I got mild, and it was just spicy enough. The soup that came with the lunch smelled a little rotten, so I didn’t eat it. The crab cheese wontons were delicious! If you’re around for lunch, you should definitely stop here. Satisfies that Thai food craving.

1st time here. The set up, decorations and overall ambiance was very nice. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was good. Had the coconut soup very yummy never had anything quite like that, very fresh vegetables. Had the sampler appetizer: money bags was very good as well as rhe shrip eggroll(huge shrimp inside). I had the Bangkok bowl and that qas good, huge portions had to take half home. The Bangkok Mojito was flavorful, but weak not really sure if they put any liquor in it. Did not care for the dessert: Thia Pudding and Black Sticky rice, just not my thing. Overall a good time.

The worst Thai food I ever got. I ordered the wild pineapple fried rice and it was weight too salty that I could barely eat. I almost had everything left and the waitress didn’t ask the reason for the leftover. Bad food, bad service. And last suggestion, the food is really bad and don’t take your chance to try it.

Family is in town from TX and we wanted something different for lunch. This place was fantastic! From the service to the food along with the atmosphere — hands down great experience. This was my first time but it will not be my last!

I tried this place last Saturday as I was craving Thai and I can safely say I will not return. There were no other diners and for good reason. The staff were incredibly rude and pretty much ignored us. We sat for quite some time before someone came up to us and it took at least 15 minutes to get water. The Tom Kha Gai soup was watery and bitter(and I love soup). The Panag curry was bland and watery, the texture of the chicken was rubbery and disgusting. The only positive things I can say is that the vegetables were fresh and the décor was cool. I guess that’s the price you have to pay some times for experimenting.

This place is below average. I have eaten there a couple times for lunch. The food doesn’t come out hot. It is always warm. I have eaten their Pad Thai, which is solid, and their cashew chicken. The cashew chicken was a big disappointment. The meat was barely warm, the vegetables were a little undercooked and the flavor was bland. The guy who was with me said his yellow curry was the best he has ever had(coming from a guy who spent two years in the Philippines).

Meh. Was eager to see they had a couple of variations of fried rice on their menu; I chose the«Drunken Fried Rice with Pork.» Used grubhub, which prompted me if I wanted it mild, medium, spicy, or extra spicy, and I chose spicy. Came out bland and completely without spice, but I shouldn’t be too surprised given everyone else’s reviews. My drunken fried rice was most definitely not fried, it’s steamed brown rice drizzled in oil with raw carrots & broccoli. It was palatable after drenching in siracha. Next time I’m craving yummy thai, I’ll pass this place up. No wonder this place is always featured on those«daily deal» sites…

The food was good but the service for our large birthday party was only okay. I was mostly disappointed by the reaction I received after accidentally stabbing my thumb on their sharp metal cut-out menus. I was bleeding a fair amount and the girl I told just shrugged and said it happens all the time and acknowledged it was a health code issue. Rather than say sorry, I was told the servers cut themselves all the time. That’s just gross.

Enjoyed this location for lunch and dinner. There is currently a pay lot right next door if you wanted to drive. Otherwise it’s a hidden little gem, down welton, ½ a block off 16th st. A tiny sign, now hidden by constructions. Staff was friendly on both occasions. First time i did a lunch special, and found is tasty. For dinner i tried the massaman curry — beef — meh. Spice level was ok, it was a 4, but i would have enjoyed hotter. Beef was chewy and tough, but the sauce was delicious! Veggies were a bit under cooked but the sauce… have i mentioned the sauce yet? Maybe tofu next time? We started with the money bags — not bad, not amazing but the presentation was fun. Hubby LOVED them! I started with the kum kha ghai(sp) soup. Delish! But i needed to simmer a bit longer, i like it when the chicken is infused with the flavor and doesn’t taste like… well, chicken… Mushrooms were regular button mushrooms vs straw, but hey, everyone makes recipes different! All in all, i’d get the soup to go and let it simmer in my fridge and slurp it up! The pad thai, i did get a taste of and i would definitely eat that up again! I enjoyed the staff and the food and will go back. It is our mission to find the best thai near downtown, and also in colorado! Décor is lovely, although the stage is a bit weird, the windows to the lobby of the building next door which includes a gym(hello, don’t stare me down and make me fell guilty for eating yummies), and a good sized bar that is just a little too close to the tables behind it! Pop in, and enjoy some yummies!

We’re on the hunt for«the best Thai in CO» this was our first stop. The money bags were great. I’ve never had them before so have nothing to compare them against, BUT they were great and I’ll be getting them again. Pad Thai is my benchmark dish. If the Pad Thai sucks, there’s no hope. These guys delivered. I went with Tofu and«spicy» and it did not disappoint.

DENVER — Wild Bangkok Bar & Grill serves up the flavors of Thailand, but Denver Health inspectors found German cockroaches hanging out inside. Wild Bangkok Bar & Grill The Denver restaurant located at 1630 Welton Street earned an «F» on our Restaurant Report Card for 13 critical violations in its unannounced inspections in November and February 2014. The inspector«observed over 30 live cockroaches inside the back panel of the cook line … and 10 cockroach carcasses on the floor…» The violations also included an employee drying their hands with a soiled towel, the sanitizer used to clean was so strong it was toxic and there was no sanitizer on the cook line. The inspector also noted food, dirt and greasy debris on the cooking equipment. Our calls to the restaurant were not returned so we dropped by for a look at the kitchen. An employee said the owner was unavailable and that she had«no idea» if the insect problem had been corrected. An inspector returned to the restaurant for a follow up inspection which the bar and grill passed in late November.

Fun atmosphere, great food. The Pad Thai shrimp was delicious with just enough sauce. It was not drowned in it like a couple places I go to at home. Prices are very reasonable for what you get.

I thought I would like this place. It was decorated nice and the waiter was attentive. The food was just good, not great. We had the green curry, yellow curry and pad thai. Unfortunately, that’s where the good stops. The portions were very small and expensive for what you get. We also ordered a big dispenser of beer for the table but there was a lot less beer in there than it appears. Half of the bottom was solid. We got about 4 pints out of it while the staff advertised that we would get 6. Splitting the food mentioned above and the beer 3 ways still cost us over $ 18 each before tax. No thanks.

Swung by for lunch and found myself really impressed. Had the golden triangles, pad thai, and panang curry– which were all delicious, but was completely taken back by the awesome service! The restaurant was full, as it was a Saturday afternoon, and the entire time– the whole floor was being served by one person(I think her name was Michelle) and she was ONIT! This girl was checking on every table, bringing out food, putting orders in, filling drinks, seating walk-ins… my goodness! Excellent service! Not once did our wait feel long! The environment was cozy as well. Wanted to sit on the platform with floor cushions and low tables, but didn’t want to be a pain. Check this place out, if you get a chance!

How did I NOT know that this cool place was tucked away on Welton St. I’d say this a little jewel in the heart of downtown Denver. It provides solid Thai food but what is really great about this place is the décor. I seriously spent at least ten minutes before and after my meal just looking at all the cool stuff. When I walked out of the restaurant I had to remind myself that I was in Denver! Talk about a ton of sitting room — you can fit a lot of people into this place. I’d for sure say it’s good for groups and the prices aren’t over the top either. It’s not a large menu but there is a decent variety of choice for acceptable prices. There is also a full bar which is great for date night or entertaining annoying members of the family. When I happened upon this place it was definitely an off-hour as there were zero people in there at 2pm. I would imagine that the lunch and after work crowd can get the joint hopping so be aware of when you go. I found the service to be very polite though not exactly quick footed. Does that matter in the long run? Nope — this place is cool no matter what! I couldn’t help but notice there is floor seating available just to the left of the front entrance. How cool is that? Maybe I’m impressed by little things but I love a meal when you sit on the floor. It feels very comfortable to me so that option at this restaurant will for sure make me go back and reserve one of their 3 tables(they each seat 6 people), Over all I think this is a good place to get some Thai food and it’s a fun experience all around. Even the music adds to the ambiance and it really can transport you to far away places. You just gotta have a open mind and enjoy where you’re at — because there you are.
