Getting a hitch was something foreign to me. I did a lot of research and popped into their office to chat with them about any questions I had. I ended up getting the hitch elsewhere but they were willing to still attach it to my car. I thought everyone was very professional, it was done quickly (40 minutes) and I thought the price point was fair as I shopped around. Side note: it was a nice day at their new location so I opted to sit on the sidewalk and they brought me a bench when they noticed me out there. I think this really shows the type of people they are.

If you are looking for customer service this is the wrong place. I spent $ 300 on a rack and 2 cheap plastic parts broke as I installed I the next day and their response was” you need to contact Thule directly we aren’t responsible for defects or warranty issues”
If you don’t back your product don’t sell it.

People seemed nice enough at the store and helpful. I am kind of annoyed though because when I went there, I asked if they have the same prices in their store as they do on the web. They told me yes which is not true because when I went home and checked they do have cheaper web prices. I could have gotten the same mounts/​hardware from their webstore, paid $ 10 in shipping and still gotten it for cheaper than I did in person… why would I do that though? I live a mile from there… i dont get it…

A terrific company, providing excellent service. I need a new ski rack, I thought, for a new car. But instead, the guy who helped me said there was a conversion kit I could buy so my old rack would work. So instead of spending $ 100+, my total was $ 52, and it was installed in 30 minutes, from the time I walked in until I drove away.

I purchased a hitch and Thule rack in June from Rack Attack and had been having problems with the Thule apex Swing Away. The holders moved so much that my bike came undone from one of the straps. And it was on tight! After calling, Matt told me to bring it in. He said the holders shouldn’t move so much with the bike on them. When I went in I showed him the rack and told him I wanted to trade this in for different rack. Because of the movement I had already had a part break as well. Matt said he needed to contact Thule but he couldn’t because it was Saturday. He didn’t make me come back in but instead let me choose a different rack and swap it out for the Thule. He put it on my vehicle without charging me. I am thankful that I purchased from Rack Attack where they took care of my issue in such a pleasant and reasonable manner.

Ordered a receiver hitch for my Audi Q5, but post installation, I was informed that the cost did not include wiring nor the actual ball hitch. Those would be additional cost items. I am quite disappointed that paying $ 515.36 that I only received 1⁄3 of the required components needed to actually hook up a trailer. Let the buyer beware and definitely would not recommend them.

I’ll make this short and sweet. These guys are helpful, informative about options, and walked me through a process of recognizing and getting my previously wrongly installed roof rack (at REI, incorrectly) re-​installed correctly, switched out parts free of charge that they had extras of that we’re missing from my fit kit, helped me request the right one from REI to supplement it, and then they got my rack in top notch shape for seamless transition between skiing and cycling needs. Go to Rack Attack for the absolute best as far as racks go! I’m extremely content with both the customer service I received and the resulting rack outfit.

Two of the feet on my old thule ski rack were cracking since I tightened them down too much on a new vehicle. Before just ordering replacement parts I decided to stop in and see if the guys at rack attack had any better suggestions or just had the parts I need. Not only did they have longer screws for my setup so that I didnt have to tighten it so much, but they also gave me the exact 2 pieces I needed for free instead of making me buy a whole new set! Saved me like $ 40. Will certainly be going back for future roof rack needs I’d recommend them.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Price for the same product was considerably higher than REI but they do price match. Only complaint was they charged $ 20 to put the cargo box on my vehicle — which is fine except they didn’t tell me there was a charge until the cargo box was on. For $ 20 I would have done it myself in about 10 minutes.

These guys know their stuff! Instead of spending several hours with the different brands online trying to fit a rack to my vehicle I stopped in here and explained what I was looking for an what I was trying to do. The gentleman at the counter spent almost 30min going through every option I had to mount a rack to my two door Jeep Wrangler (there weren’t many good ones unfortunately). I felt like they were attentive to what I was asking and worked to find several solutions that would work. Unfortunately none of the options they had were quite what I was looking for but they were understanding and polite when I choose to pass on purchasing anything. Would definitely come back. My only wish was that they carried Rocky Mounts snow products as well as their bike products. Rocky Mounts seems to consistently produce high quality products and it would be nice to have those options.

WARNING!!! THEY BREAK YOUR VEHICLE, CALL YOU A LIAR, AND REFUSE TO PAY TO FIX IT!
I brought in a brand new (not even a few hundred mikes on it) $ 75,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT to get roof rails put in. They up sold me and told me this is what they do and I should have them install them.
So when I get into the car I notice the lumbar has been pumped up on the chair. So I get out and there is a large foot mark where the lumbar controller is on the car and the lumbar controller is broken.
I call the manager, explain the situation, and he said, «We did not break it and I talked to my guys and we are not going to pay.»
I then asked him what is the number for the corporate office and he said, «You can get that from the website.» Wow, I have not had such a 1950’s style customer service of «That’s your problem and if you don’t like it don’t come back, so eat it.»
Just a warning about a company that does not stand behind their service and has questionable business practices.

Rack Attack did not have either a roof rack or a bike rack that fit my vehicle. They implied «I was out of luck.»
Okay, it could be my own ignorance, but I thought Rack Attack was the ONLY place one could get a rack or any value. Wrong, I found many places where I could get economical or high end racks and cargo carriers. It just seems like they could have told me that instead of shrugging their shoulders.
I began looking on the internet, of course, and then started looking at people’s vehicles in campgrounds.
I am now a happy camper — and biker — but no thanks to Rack Attack.

These guys were great. Got Whispbars put onto my Mazda 3 hatch and they are awesome — they were able to online price match (up to 20%) the rack I wanted and they had it installed in 40 minutes. My only nitpick is that I just noticed that the length of the bars aren’t perfectly even on either side of the feet (I got the through bars). Most people wouldn’t notice but I’m a perfectionist and if I’m paying for an installation, I expect it to be perfect. I’m sure that if I take it back they’ll correct the problem in 5 minutes but the extra hassle is the reason for 4 and not 5 stars. I would definitely go back and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get outfitted with racks/​rack gear.

These guys know their stuff! Have you ever looked at the fit guides online for a car and kind of questioned the products listed… or not been able to find anything at all? Rack Attack can actually build a custom roof rack solution for you.
I have a 91 Civic Wagon 4WD that I got for skiing/​mountain biking/​etc. Finding the right Thule parts to fit was becoming a pain online. so I brought the car in here and they did a custom flush roof mount of Thule Aerobars. It looks WAY better than normal fit kits and will get better gas milage too. I was in and out within an hourish (make sure to set an appointment). They also have a waiting area with couches, magazines, and free wifi.
They were even able to price match some online sales I found on the parts they sold me. Great job! Labor prices were also very reasonable. Check out the pics I posted if you are curious of the work.

Bought a wind deflector from these guys a few years back, it was a Thule. It was closing time when I was there and the guy was cool enough to help me install it right on the spot… no charge!
Today I went back as 3 out of the 4 brackets had broken on the deflector, first guy I dealt with was nice enough but couldn’t find me replacement parts, then another guy stated he knew where a secret stash was… he went in the back and found me some! Small charge and I was outa there! Problem fixed and happy customer!!!
