Tala Salon & Day Spa

I am almost hesitant to review Tala… because I want to keep this place ALL to myself! Nonetheless, I owe it to the fabulous staff at Tala. My friend and I scheduled a massage/​body scrub after reading all the great reviews here. It was both of our first times at a spa so we were a bit nervous. Everyone from Sue (at the front desk) to Parisa and Pam were wonderful. These ladies are the real deal and they know what they are doing. I will be back many more times. I am scheduled for a mandicure/​pedicure this Saturday!

I want to let everyone know just how wonderful of a place this is!!! I live in Las Vegas (spa capital) so I flew in to visit with my sister in Denver I looked at a few places online but chose Tala & am glad I did for a girls spa day cause I was not disappointed by the service that the ladies gave me there! They are exceptionally tentative and friendly ! I got a facial (microdermabrasion) by Randi & sugar body scrub with steam by Parisa & they were both amazing! I recommend them if you want someone friendly and accommodating. I have been to many spas around the world and I have to say this place is my fave! I plan flying back just to get service from this ladies again! I get so great after leaving that place! bits very clean and relaxing!

I found this place via a Spafinder gift card from a friend. First, I should be up-​front with you: I’m not the typical spa, manicure-​getting, highlights wearing kind of lady. Spas terrify me a little because I don’t get the protocol and almost always end up looking like an idiot. I get flighty when people come at me with beauty products. Are you trying to smother me with that hot towel!?!
Anyway, I went in for microdermabrasion because I’m turning thirty-​seven and – in a moment of vanity – scraping off the first several layers of my face with a diamond-​tipped vacuum sounded like a stellar idea. And you know what? It TOTALLY was!
I saw Simine, and she was really lovely. Super professional and no pressure. There were all kinds of fancy pants creams that smelled like lemon (delicious, people!). There were hot towels (no smothering!). There was massaging and friendly conversation. Oh, right, and then the face scraping machine thing. That happened. There was absolutely no pressure whatsoever to book my next appointment (I’m going back there if I have to get a second job… though at this salon’s reasonable prices, it will be more like a part-​time paper route). And my skin looks like a baby’s ass! A clean, shiny, never-​had-​a-​diaper-​rash baby’s ass!
I appreciated that she didn’t try to pressure me to purchase any products. I have a hard time saying «no.» By that I mean: I have actually left a salon with a hair straightener. My hair is stick straight. Let me repeat that. I purchased a hair straightener.
This place is a little gem, and I’m happy to have found it. It’s a real treat to get professionally pampered without the high-​pressure sales pitch. That’s why I’ll be back!

I have not tried the other services at Tala but the service and attention to customers calling and arriving is top notch. This review is for Dennis whose talent I have touted to all who ask me about my hair … and a lot do.

I should start by saying that I have only gone to Tala to get my hair highlighted by Eric, so please know that this review is for him and his services.
Eric has worked at Tala for about 5 years now. In that time frame, he has only done my color a few times, but has done my mother’s every 2 months for years and years. Eric is the absolute best as far as i am concerned. He starts each appointment with what my vision is for my color, and then executes it perfectly.
I have also been satisfied with my hair and recommend him constantly. If you need a great colorist who will take so much precision and care with your highlights, I strongly recommend Eric at Tala.

I have been going to this salon for massages for 8 months. I try and schedule a bi-​monthly massage as often as I can. At first the location and neighborhood seems a little sketch, but once you are inside this establisment you forget all about it. Very nice inside, very friendly staff. Sue is so nice when she is at the front desk.
I have been seeing Lourdes for my massages and she is an absolute treat! She really pays attention to my needs and wants during my massage. She also gives special tips and tricks to use in between massages to work on problem areas.
The salon is usually steady with business, and they offer many wonderful services. The prices are within reason and not outrageous.

The prices are very reasonable compared to other places that cut/​style hair but the quality is so much higher as well as the stylists are very knowledgable. Francis is the best hair stylist I have come across! He cuts hair and has no panic attacks over super long hair like many hair stylists I have come across. He is so knowledgeable and friendly making the experience of getting my hair trimmed/​styled that I am never afraid I will come away with a hack-​job.
Tala also has many other services, most that I am unfamiliar with such as massage, waxing, hair coloring services, etc. but I have had mani/​pedi there and they were comparable to the other places.
