My dad started the Abdoo Photography business in Denver over 60 years ago. Originally located on the corner of Colfax and Grape in the beautiful, historic Park Hill neighborhood. The present location in Cherry Creek North has been thriving since 1962.

As a kid, I would stand on a box in my father’s darkroom to process his 4×5 film negatives. As I got older, he taught me more about all other aspects of photography. Eventually he handed me a camera (that still used flash bulbs) and told me to go shoot a wedding. Well, I guess it worked out pretty well. I’ve been a portrait photographer for my entire career. I have seen generations of Denver families come to my studio, have watched their children and grandchildren grow up. I have been blessed to watch many changes in the field of photography — bw film, color photography, polaroid, medium format, 35 mm SLR, and now digital.
