Monaco Tire & Auto

Visited Dean at his shop today to have my tire looked at. I care about my car a lot, and I can tell he’s a true car enthusiast. He offered us free sodas while we waited and everyone was super friendly. I was in and out in no time. –1 star since the price to patch my tire was higher than average. I’d recommend this shop, and will visit again.

The most unpleasant customer service experience imaginable.
They did not want to inspect my U-​Haul tuck return or present a receipt.
Barked commands at my friend to move his car now!
Was told by the owner that «He owns this place and if I want I can kick you to the street!»
Truly, a really unpleasant experience made more so because I had to return the U-​Haul to that location.
Avoid this business.

Checked my tire. No problems. These guys seem to be on the up and up. They were very friendly too.

I came to Monaco Tire to have my BAAID device removed. He said it would take 45 minutes when I made the appointment. Staff was friendly at the beginning — cracking jokes and smiling at customers. The son came in and let me know my car would take a bit longer because the person who had installed the device originally had installed it differently and he’d have to try to figure out where some wire had been fed from the inside of my car to where the computer was located under my hood. He took me to my car and explained and I went back inside. I asked an hour later for an update and he said «oh yeah I just gotta go back and finish it up» while I saw him running around doing other jobs with other employees. 3.5 hours later when the shop was about to close in 10 minutes, I asked about the status of my car again and he said «oh yeah it’s ready to go.» I paid and walked out to my car — hood still open. He came out and shut it as I was examining the inside of my car to see where it was removed. I left — next morning drove my car through a car wash while running errands and as my car was exiting the wash the worker came and told me my car was not turning on. We lifted up the hood to find the lid to the computer was not there. Water had rushed into it damaging it and my car started going on and off by itself. I was unable to turn it off and because it was a Saturday afternoon, the shop had closed until Monday. I had AAA tow my car there and when I called Monday he said «why is your car here?» Rudely. Not to mention I was supposed to drive home 1000 miles on Sunday. Then when I explained he said «oh shit — hold on a second». Then told me he’d call back in a couple hours after they figured it out. This was at 8 am. At 3 PM after giving them ample time to research and return phone call, I called them and he said «yeah it’s ready.» I got there to pick it up and he laughed and told me it wasn’t that he forgot it in the shop, it had slid down into my car and he hadn’t noticed. It was melted on one corner so he offered to buy a new one. It wasn’t too damaged and I hate to waste material so I said it was fine. I find it funny he laughed acting like it wasn’t a big deal when it was his silly mistake — he should’ve been embarrassed about his lack of professionalism. My emergency soon light came on when I turned on my car and he said it was already on that morning. Obviously because his error had caused the water to come in and damage the computer and not sure what else. He had another mechanic come over to simply shut the light off. His father (the owner) came over at one point and was also not nice during the issue. The son was extremely rude, non-​apologetic, and finally I realized they weren’t nice at the beginning, just some schmucks trying to act cool. I wouldn’t go back if they offered me free services. Not to mention my CD player stopped working just a few days later. I think it all had to do with the incident but I refuse to go back into a place ran by jersey shore bros who talk big but know nothing and arent willing to stand up for their own work and correctly fix what they ruined.

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!!! I’m a loyal customer for life. If you’d like to know why, It’s simple. Because Deano and his staff do a damn good job and really care about your satisfaction and your family’s safety. Period. The quality of the work put into my vehicle speaks volumes about my experience with them. And the fact that I was treated like family was just icing on the cake. I own a used vehicle that the previous owner didn’t take very good care of. I’ve experienced many problems with it already, all of which Deano and his staff have repaired flawlessly, not just fixing the problem, but dramatically improving performance and reliability. Although I’m mechanically inclined myself, I travel a lot and don’t always have the time or resources to do the work myself. I’ve had problems with my transmission, T-​Case, leaking fluids/​lines, failing radiator, axle issues, bad fuel pump/​water pump, major brake problems, bad rotors/​drums, bad master cylinder/​driveshaft, engine problems, electrical, you name it, they fixed it. Thanks to Monaco Tire & Auto, my used & abused vehicle now drives like new. And you better believe my vehicle passes the tests throughout all of Colorado’s roughest terrain and severe weather conditions thanks to Deano and his staff. The fact is, Monaco Tire & Auto is a Mom & Pop kinda place. Every company and every customer is gonna clash or have a bad experience with somebody out there at some point. People have bad days, thats just how it goes. So of course you can’t make everyone happy. I kinda feel bad for those who feel they’ve had a bad experience, because I just can’t relate. I’ve had bad experiences with other companies that would shock you. Mostly corporations that not only tried to scam me by not even doing the work and just saying they did it, but by doing such poor quality work that it actually put my life and others lives on the line during a couple of accidents I’ve been in, due to the poor quality work I’ve received. I’ve truly experienced bad mechanics, but Deano and his team is not one of them. Not even close. Well functioning vehicles on the road is highly important to all of our safety. And Monaco Tire & Auto understands that mission very clearly. That’s why I’m loyal, and that’s why I say Monaco Tire & Auto. Highly Recommended.

This place is a joke! Here’s how they epically failed on all levels:
While pulling into the parking lot with my giant truck I was trying to find a parking spot amongst their compact car parking. I couldn’t find anything so I turned around to get a big spot by the street. While I was trying to turn around one of the techs cut me off and parked behind me! I honked and he completely ignored me leaving the car there!
When I went inside I told the guy what happened and he assured me he was only being a dick cause he thought I was turning around and wasn’t going to come in and buy something. Real nice dude.
I rented a uhual and it was dirty, full of papers, napkins, bottles etc. and of course they forgot the dolly I reserved. Since this was during a horrific snow storm and I was trying to move by myself with an 8 month old baby, I had to have my husband get off work early to go pick it up!
When my husband got there the owner was very apologetic and told him not to worry cause he would take care of us when we dropped off the truck.
So Monday rolls around and my husband calls to square things up and the owner says, «oh, well I already did your bill.» My husband asked, «so you’re not going to take care of us like you said?» No response. So my husband said thanks and hung up.
When we were asked to rate the experience on the uhual website, we listed everything that happened. Shortly after I received a call from the owners son Justin saying that he didn’t charge us for the dolly they forgot so I should be happy with that and that they didn’t charge us a cleaning fee. Wait what? Why would we be charged when they left the truck dirty? He said, «well some people assume that we automatically charge a cleaning fee but we didn’t.» Oh, so you didn’t rip me off?! Wow thanks!
I told him, «look, I have been in the costumer service business a long time and I know what good customer service is and my experience with you from start to finish was unpleasant.» He loudly stated, «oh I’m supposed to give you everything for free cause my mechanic cut you off?! I calmly said, «no, I am just explaining why I gave you the negative review. I happen to know good customer service and this is not the way to treat your customers.» He then went on to tell me how long they have been in business and how they have 5 stars and I informed him they didn’t. He asked what websites they had bad reviews on and I told him Unilocal!He scoffed and said, «I don’t pay any attention to Unilocal!» I informed him, «you should, cause those reviews are from real people and your customers.» Then I was told to «have a nice day.»
Awesomely bad service! But take note, if you go here and they screw you over they might not charge you for their mistakes. This is the kind of place that makes auto shops look bad. This place is a good ol fashion «screw you out of money while treating you bad» kind of shop. I wouldn’t come here for a uhual, an oil change, or anything else these monkeys have to offer.

I have been meaning to write these guys a review for a while.
My wife and I have received outstanding service here.
I rented a Uhaul truck for work from here. The day I went to pick up my truck the Uhaul network server was down. The gentlemen behind the counter was very apologetic for the delay, but more than that was working his butt off to find another way to honor my reservation, calling the main office, other locations, and finally getting out an old paper contract so I could get to my work project.
They gave me a $ 25 off customer card, that my wife used to get her car serviced and she was so pleased with the service that she has been going back ever since.
I don’t measure a company by how well they treat their customers when everything goes smoothly, I measure them by how far they go to take care of their customers when thing go sideways.
I feel that they went above and beyond to take of me.
I am very happy with the service.

Ordered tires and told me to come tomorrow for the installation when I showed up next day they told your tires are not here come tomorrow again. Came after two days and the installation took forever 1 hour and half to install only two tires. Once I complained about the delay they told me it’s going to be the last time we do a business together. Also, they were too rude and told me if you are mechanic you can come and work with us and done it faster. That’s not how you treat your clients Monaco tire. Very disappointed won’t ever comeback to this place again. Nothing is positive about this place. I wish if there is a less then one star so I won’t hesitate to rate them at zero.

My roommate and I rented a UHaul from here. Great family staff. They couldn’t have been more helpful. I would definitely go here again.

I found Monaco by buying a deal for 5 oil changes through living social. As a new Denver resident I had no idea who to trust with my car until I found Monaco.
Deano is always straight with me when I come in. He levels with me on what things i need to get taken care of and I really appreciate it. Monaco is the first shop I have gone to that has laid out a list of possible repairs in order of importance for me. Usually I get an oil change and the mechanic will give me a laundry list of «must haves». Deano and the Monaco staff are honest mechanics that care about my business. I was lucky to find them to be my Denver auto shop.
One thing I wish was better… the prices are a little higher than others in the area, however the quality of work and service is far better.

I had been taking my car to Monaco Tire and Auto for 10 years. I thought they were honest and fair and never thught to question them.
I decided to do some research on the most recent diagnosis because I had a funny feeling in my gut that they were not being honest and/​or correct in their diagnosis. They were going to charge us $ 600 dollars for parts and labor. I found another mechanice who was going to charge us half the amount for the same parts and significantly less for the labor. When I took my car to this other mechanic, we learned that the diagnosis given by Monaco Tire and Auto was not even correct and we saved $ 500 dollars. In fact, the problem was actually caused by Monaco Tire and Auto not installing something properly the first time.
I gave Monaco Tire and Auto the opportunity to make it right before taking the car to the other mechanic. They said they would not charge us for the labor but what they did was inflate the cost of the part to cover the labor.
It’s really too bad!
