I started the Company in 1986, with the idea that customers would appreciate doing projects themselves; not only for the opportunity to save money, but the pure satisfaction in doing the project. We have seen many flooring Companies come and go, however through all of the adversity we have stayed on top with a very simple philosophy. Take care of the customer and do what you say you are going to do.

The first step in our kitchen remodel was to buy new flooring for the space. Steve was so pleasant to work with. He understood that we were looking for moderate quality for the lowest price and suggested multiple options. The flooring came in UNDER BUDGET! As our first major purchase of the remodel, it gave me hope that we might finish the project within our means!

Loved my experience here. Not only a great product, but great customer service. They told me I could install the floors myself, which I (and my wife) felt was unrealistic. After they told me they’d instruct me how, take any calls needed along the way and even come to my house if I get really stuck, I decided to go for it. They were right and took the calls as promised along the way. You can tell its still family owned by their level of service. Would highly recommend these guys.

I’m a firm believer in recommendations and reviews and mine came from a local disc jockey (totally reliable). I had been debating hardwood floors for years and finally felt it was time to replace my «builder basic» carpet and get my first floor finished to match my kitchen. I went to the showroom with sample in hand and it was smooth sailing from there. I get used to being «talked down to» because I’m a woman but Tom treated me with utmost respect. I explained what I wanted and was never persuaded otherwise. The installation was finished today and Scott did a fabulous job working with the issues as they arose (Newtown Builders obviously doesn’t know flooring). Anyway I am so pleased with the results and would recommend MacDonald to anyone. Tom, Scott and Jeff deserve high kudos!

I am in the market for a new hardwood floor. I called and spoke with a person from the store. They thought it would be best to come into the store to see the products instead of explaining them over the phone. I drove over 20 miles to the store. Business must be great because nobody would speak to me? When I arrived there was someone helping a customer and when the customer left, so did the sales person. There was another sales person discussing flooring with another customer, but that person ignored me as well. Common courtesy would be to tell the «customer» that you will be with them shortly or something! I stood there looking stupid for over 10 minutes and then just casually walked out the door and no one cared. I don’t plan on returning. There are other places to buy hardwood and the customer service couldn’t be worse.
