History

Established in 2002.

The Hoffman family have been installing and finishing great hardwood floors in Colorado since 1948. As Vice President of Arvada Hardwood Floor Company, Randy and his three sons built a reputation as leaders in the hardwood floor industry. After selling that company to The Home Depot in 2002, their legacy of installing and finishing exceptional hardwood floors was continued with the birth of Denver Dustless. Our philosophy of employing our own hardwood flooring specialists sets us apart from our competitors, who typically use subcontractors to perform the work. Our hardwood refinishing services use the latest in Dust Containment systems, not portable canister vacumes that only capture 50% of the dust generated when refinishing a floor.

Just had our oak floors refinished and couldn’t be happier. I was amazed that there was very little dust — only a light coat similar to a couple of weeks without dusting. The quote and the work was done on-​time and as expected. The floor in our kitchen was very worn and now looks brand new and the stain color matched the existing woodwork on the staircase.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others. Great choice!

Somewhat challenging experience, mostly communication related, with getting an estimate. I had an estimate scheduled at 9 a.m. At 9:40 nobody had showed or called to let me know what was going on. I called the office who tried to reach the estimator but he didn’t answer so they said he was likely on his way. 10:40 still no show & no word from anyone so I called again. They said the estimator showed up but nobody answered the door. They said someone could come out the next day but I said that wouldn’t work for my schedule since I’d planned to be home today. A few hours later, the estimator called to say he just rang the doorbell but nobody answered. Luckily this time he called before leaving so I was able to let him in. I’m very glad and appreciative that they were able to send someone out again. However, I’m still a little surprised the estimator didn’t also try knocking (I have a very small house & a dog so would’ve heard a knock) or calling the first time. It also would’ve been nice if someone would’ve let me know that the estimator was planning to come back that day. Luckily I was still home. Hopefully their communication process is a bit smoother during the work process.

Just got our walnut floors done by Denver Dustless. It is really amazing how little dust there was. The floors look brand new, and I was able to pick from many stain colors for the new finish. Found something beautiful, and we’re really pleased. The work was done on time and professionally. We’d use them again and hope everyone else has as good of an experience as we did.

It pains me to think that a business can survive based solely on their good reputation. Gone are the days where a business has to earn their customers.
I waited over a month to get an estimate for my hardwood floors. I called to double check and triple check the appointment time because, as I am very busy, cannot spend extra time away from the office. The estimate guy apparently showed up early, didn’t call me, and left before I got home to meet him. Granted I was 4 minutes late, but I waited over a month for him and he couldn’t wait 5 minutes for me.
They said over the phone that company policy is to call if they are early and to wait 15 minutes. I never received a call. Maybe he did wait his required 15 minutes, but how am I supposed to know that.
Never once did I receive an apology for the inconvenience. Never was I offered a rescheduled estimate later this week. I was told I’d have to get back in line and wait another 3 weeks because it wouldn’t be right for other people to have to miss their appointments.
Denver Dustless, you have great reviews, but I can’t fathom how you earned them if your customers have to work so hard to hire you.

We had many challenges with our floor that were above and beyond the normal, and Denver Dustless came through with flying colors. I am so happy to see so many positive, current reviews. We used Denver Dustless in 2008 and had an exceptional experience, so I’m glad their quality seem to be the same.
They refinished original hardwood floors in our 1958 home in Broomfield. The «dustless» factor was hugely important to us as we were trying to live there while getting the floors redone– it made a HUGE difference compared to other dusty nightmares I’ve heard about other companies’ processes. They took the time to hang plastic to keep the minimal dust they create from invading the rest of our carpeted areas, none of our baseboards were damaged, and the floors ended up looking beautiful!
We had refinished them to make the house more marketable for sale, so I can’t attest to how they’ve held up, but it certainly made us wish we’d done it sooner so we could have enjoyed those gorgeous floors. So, if you’re thinking about refinishing your floors– do it! So worth it to enjoy the immediate beauty they add to your home.
The whole process was easy. Easy quote, great price, clean and speedy service, and I have recommended them many times over the years.

We needed the wood floors in our rental property refinished, after the tenant with the two big dogs moved. I found Den Dustless online along with two other, larger companies which I checked for availability and. I was very impressed with their website, and was leaning toward them from the beginning because of the descriptions of their technique, and what I perceived as a sincere small business effort, which I wanted to support.
We had a little trouble connecting at first, some miscommunication. But office manager Mendy and I straightened it out, and once we got on each other’s schedules, they were fantastic. The workmanship was exceptional, the price was very good.
I’m so pleased with how the floor turned out. In the rental ad for the house, I used the words «shimmer,» and «sparkle.» We painted all the walls which refreshed the place, but really, it’s the floors and their beauty that prompted me to write those descriptive adjectives. And they’re true!

GREAT JOB!!! I had some oak parquet that was looking pretty worn. I wasn’t sure it could be sanded/​refinished and look good again. But, I was very pleasantly surprised! Denver Dustless (Jeremy) thought there would be no problem getting it to look new again and he was right. I’M AMAZED AT THE RESULT! The floor looks fantastic and I’m so glad I didn’t pay to have it all replaced. The crew was very professional and did a really good job both sanding and finishing. There were a couple tiny spots where I had to call them back to touch up, but they did without question. [One suggestion Denver Dustless: You could do a little better job wiping off the bottom of cabinets and walls where the sanding was done; and the front porch where the sanders were emptied.]
A few notes for anyone getting a floor refinished. (1) It’s not really «dustless». There isn’t a lot of dust with the equipment they use, but there is dust. I didn’t have plastic put up or anything — just had to do a little extra dusting afterwards. (2) Be prepared to be out of your house ALL DAY (12 hrs) for 2 – 3 days. (3) Have this done at a time of year where you can totally open the house up to ventilate the fumes — nasty!

No, you did not do it right the first time, Denver Dustless!!! This company has horrible customer service and if you get unlucky and get the guys that have been overworked, do not count on a great job! This company bids out way too many jobs with too few employees. We were promised the job done in 4 days and it took 11 because we had to have our hardwood redone by this company (sanding and all) because of the horrible workmanship from the first two guys. Also, if you are going with a light color… you best rethink that as they will promise you that the wood will match up perfectly and it won’t! We had to have additional hardwood torn out in order to hide the difference in color and texture of the wood. The grade and color was WAY OFF!!! After this disaster, they sent 2 guys out that actually did a great job the second time around and they were very friendly and respectful unlike everyone else that we experienced in this company, including the owner! I would suggest using a smaller company or individual that by word of mouth has proven workmanship and reliability. The end result of our floors is good, but the experience was absolutely terrible!!!

Upon moving into our new house, we called a number of different hardwood companies to give us an estimate for installing new hardwood flooring and refinishing existing flooring so that it would all match.
Not only was Denver Dustless the best price, but their work was fantastic. They were incredibly responsive from Day One, answering every phone call and never missing a deadline. They were courteous, on-​time and the work looks amazing.
We had a lot of workers come through our house before we moved in and they were BY FAR the best.
Would highly recommend to anyone.
