Their motto is: «Where we treat the customer like royalty.» If this is how they treat royalty, I’d hate to see how they treat the peasants.
Nice guy, James, who came to put in a new water heater. But when I returned from out of town to see the work done, the water heater was standing in a half inch of water in the pan under the unit, metal shavings and other debris were left on top of the unit and on the floor, and the unit was bent/​damaged around the door to the burner with the door lying on the ground.
Cost was $ 1,849. Seemed high. I checked on the Internet for the cost of the water heater they put in, which was $ 799 retail. Assuming they actually paid retail, that means around $ 1,000 for labor. I asked their secretary very nicely for an itemization – like is done whenever your car gets service – and they said they do not provide that. One has to wonder why.
Then suddenly, Jeff, the owner, began calling and texting me the next day because my wife’s credit card number wouldn’t go through. They had written it down incorrectly. In a text he wrote, «We need to get this credit card thing fixed today.» I gave him my credit card number immediately and resolved that issue. But when I left Jeff a voicemail to call me as I wanted to give him some feedback, he did not return my call.
So in sum, pretty poor quality work, at a very high price, and sub par customer service.
Note: For some reason I the functionality to allow me to select the «star» rating is not working, but I would give them a 2.

The initial bid I received from them to replace by water main came in well under all of the other bids that I received so I chose to go with them. They were able to start the job the following week. They showed up on time and worked the entire day to get the job done. The damage to the yard was very minimal and really surprised me with the amount of work they had to do. They replaced everything back so that it looked like it did prior to the project. They kept the inside of the house clean as well. The three guys working on the project were very polite and professional. I also received a follow up call a few days after to make sure everything was satisfactory. I have another project I am going to need a plumber for and won’t even be looking for other bids based on how great their service and work was.

I highly recommend King Rooter and Plumbing. I had an emergency water heater leak in my townhouse and this company rescued me. In my current home I had a backflow issue that King Rooter resolved. Excellent customer service and always available. Let me add that as a woman many companies take advantage and try to up the price or add on unnecessary work. Not this company. Kudos to King Rooter and thank you for unbelievable service!

Did a hot water heater replacement for us… pricing changed by $ 300 after the old one was ripped out. They tried to argue that they can leave the old one on our family room floor, after taking it away was part of the original agreement (I have a spinal injury and certainly couldn’t move it). When new water heater began making banging noises, called them out under the warranty agreement… when they came out, they demanded $ 100 AND did not fix anything. Threatened to put a lien on my house if I didn’t pay it. Would NEVER use these guys again and warn everyone about my experiences with them. City of Arvada couldn’t even find licensing on them, but I haven’t dug into that issue, so that may be in error.

I recently needed a plumber for a sink faucet repair/​replace. I chatted with a rep on the phone and they said someone would stop by and provide a free estimate and within a few hours a plumber named «IJ» (maybe AJ. couldn’t understand his name) stopped by and gave me a call (I live out of state and this is my rental property). He told me he could easily fix the faucet but their minimum charge was $ 196. I thought this seemed extremely high. I told him that and he asked what my budget was. I said I’d be willing to do it for about $ 100 and he said he would call his boss and see if that’s possible and let me know. I didn’t hear from him for about 30 minutes. When he called back, I was surprised to hear that the boss had OK’d it for $ 100 and that he had started the work without letting me know. I’ve never once had a contractor call their boss to discuss a price and then begin work without my approval. I frequently hire contractors and this was a first. He then proceeds to tell me that he discovered after starting to work on it that it would need a full replacement and would cost about $ 300. Obviously I was very surprised. I told him I can’t commit to that right now and I would have to schedule him back another time. He was verbally disgruntled and hung up on me.
About an hour later he calls back and says that he now has to charge me a $ 50 travel fee (oh weird this was never even mentioned before) since he started working on the project. I pointed out that I had never authorized him to start working in the first place and he literally lost it. He yelled at me and lectured me for the next 5 minutes about karma and said things such, «what goes around comes around and the next time something bad happens to you you’ll know why». Obviously this guy has no concept of customer service.
It’s embarrassing to yell at a client over the phone. Not worth the time or effort with these guys.

Nice guys, but they did not have a clue what needed to be done at my house. They cabled my sink drain and failed to recognize that a bypass had been put in. Then they ran the water again and created a flood in the ceiling of my basement! All this for $ 98 — nonrefundable. My advice: find a plumbing company that knows what they are doing. This is not the one.

Professional with great service. I had such a wonderful experience, I referred them to my grandmother, knowing they would take excellent care of her needs. And they did! I would recommend King Rooter and Plumbing to everyone, you will not be disappointed.

We had an emergency backup (in our one-​year old home) on a Sunday. Called several pluming companies and King was the only one to respond. Harold came out and was efficient, explained what was going on and polite. He came back on Monday with a camera scope and actually helped us prove to the builder that the issue was a defect in the plumbing! They agreed to to replace plumbing and reimburse us for all expenses.
Harold also came back to re-​scope to ensure the repairs were done correctly. He gave me some tips on preventative maintenance to save us money and time in the future. Thanks Harold– you are now our go-​to plumber!
