I used to go to my mother’s Jazzercise classes as a kid and always thought it was too old-​school/​Jane Fonda era for me in my adult years. Boy, was I wrong! I love going to class where the instructors’ witty banter always puts a smile on my face! The modern dance music gets your body moving while the well choreographed workouts elevate your heart rate in moderation — without leading you into complete exhaustion.
The class scheduling is excellent for those who work during the day as well as those who don’t and the location is easily accessed with plenty of free street parking. I highly recommend it for those of you who, like me, get bored doing the same treadmill/​elliptical/​weight training routine every day or have too much energy for yoga.

The location is super convenient and has plenty of free street parking. The wood floors are nice and weights, exercise balls, and mats are included for you at the studio.
What is Jazzercise? It’s not the 80’s work-​out you are picturing in your head. Classes are fun dance/​strength classes that you can adapt to any fitness level. If you want high impact, you’ll burn up to 600 calories. Lower impact? No problem, you can go at your own pace. You’ll see all ages of people (yes, predominantly female) and it’s a very unintimidating atmosphere.
Instructors give plenty of cues so you know exactly what to do. Every class is different and set to current music; it’s great if you’re the type to get bored of the same workouts. Instructors also keep you motivated with contests, milestone recognition, and hand-​written postcards. Classes start at 5:45 a.m. and go until 6:00 p.m. 35 minutes of aerobic dance and 25 minutes of strength training. It’s a great work-​out; the best part is, it’s so much fun, you don’t even realizing you’re exercising!

Best exercise deal in Denver. Unlimited classes for $ 38/​month, dynamite instructors. Dance like no one is watching – they’re not! They’re too busy dancing themselves. Totally not intimidating; everyone looks just like you do; a regular person out for a good sweaty workout.
