Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli

Last two visits they put peppers on my breakfast sandwich after clearly asking for no peppers. Service is slow and non responsive. Better to find another place to eat at the Denver airport.

I waited in line while the rude staff served the customers in front of me. Then it was my turn to be treated like a prisoner in the chow line. I know it’s an airport but there’s no excuse for lack of manners. Then i had to pay for this abuse first monetarily then physically. The pastrami was leather like. Avoid going to this «deli» unless you like abuse.

Was provided a box lunch made by Heidi’s just prior to our Honor Flight to Washington DC. Turkey sandwich was extremely large, fresh and very good. Box included a pickle slice, apple, cookie and sandwich. Others on flight had Roast Beef or Ham, all thought their meal was very good. On our trip we had two other box lunches and Heidi’s was by far the best.

Travel plans left me with a 3+ hour layover in Denver. What better way to pass the time than to wander around and explore!
All of the way down by Gate 86 in Terminal B tucked away is Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli. I had the Cajun Turkey with Swiss on White. The bread was soft and a great sandwich bread (if there is such an thing?) Turkey was good quality and judging by the whole meats in the display case, they may slice fresh in-​house. I was worried the Cajun spread would have a little too much «zing» for me, so I opted for half mayo and I’m glad I did. The half serving of Cajun spread was just the right amount for me. Avocado was sliced fresh with a generous helping. Also had the potato salad which was run of the mill; good but nothing special. My only knock would be the sandwich could have used a little more meat. I found myself with a few corners and edges of bread without the good stuff!
I would definitely walk all of the way down to Gate 86 again though when I’m back, and find myself waiting around and hungry!

If I could give no stars, this would be one to get none. Don’t even have the energy left after getting to the ends of the earth in terms of the Denver airport and having the experience I had at Heidi’s. Just get something… anything…anywhere before you have no other choice. Awful… and I rarely go there with a restaurant.

The food was very good. The staff however is extremely rude. Given the chance I would not come back.

Disappointed. Got a chicken salad sandwich because it was supposed to be awesome and it was made out of mostly dark meat… They say you get a pickle. But, they just throw a spear in the bag… No wrapping, nothing… So, in the trash it goes. The bread was good. But, huge. I had more bread than I had chicken salad. Which was okay because I don’t like dark meat chicken on a sandwich. They have chips set out — but, they aren’t the chips that go with the sandwich so you have to pay extra. This wasn’t an issue for me because I picked the potato salad. But, everyone else in line was caught off guard by it.

Had the Italian sub… heated up… Delicious

If you’re near gate B90 in DEN, you MUST try Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli — get the awesome Cajun Turkey with avocado on the BEST WHEAT BREAD I’ve ever had. Fresh, filling & delicious. Yummmmmmmy!

Heidi’s is one of my favorite spots for a classic — no nonsense — fill me up — sandwich. The menu is easy turkey, lettuce, tomato, mayo, etc.
Nothing pretentious like «free range locally nurtured avocado complimented by Harvard educated albacore tuna and Serrano pepper roasted olive oil mayonnaise atop the freshest, friendliest gluten free, no gmo, hand crafted chickpea paper wrapping.»
Don’t get me wrong. I love my artisan cheeses, craft drinks, and way to lengthy food descriptions like every other little food junkie — but sometimes I just don’t want to think about it. And Heidi’s takes care of me!
On the negative: it took almost 15 minutes to get my sandwich made. And there was only one person ahead of me.

Sandwichs are great. service /​ability to take a simple order non existent. Hire some people that can do this simple job!

Big, tasty sandwiches in the airport.
Based on Unilocal reviews, I tried the cajun turkey and avocado with panini bread to take with me on the airplane. The bread was fresh, and the sandwich was huge. Each half was the size of a regular sandwich. Lots of tasty meat and the avocado was fresh. Cheese was extra, but was very good. Heidi’s statement of «grass-​fed cheese» sounds a little funny, though. At the time of this review, Heidi’s menu was not viewable on their website.
The only thing I was missing was a pickle. Regardless, Heidi’s is a great stop in the airport.

This was the worst Reuben I have ever had. I should also mention… a Reuben is my absolute favorite sandwich…
So, this is one of those kind of places where a million people are working but no one is really doing anything or interested in helping you in the slightest.
The meat was disgusting. It was so fatty and cheap. BLECK. I shudder thinking about it. The sauerkraut tasted old. The bread is enormous and wasn’t marbled.
Gag.
My «side» of potato salad was smaller than a to go of salad dressing. Serious two bites. You guys are too generous.
There have to be better option at the airport! Look elsewhere!

Not bad for airport food.
Very quick service, quality ingredients and not chinching it with the proteins.
Prices are reasonable it all taste good.
Worth a visit if you need a quick bite for your flight.

Heidi’ is one of those weird anomalies you run into every once in a while…
If you stop by for a sandwich you’re surely be met with long lines, not the most courteous of service, and some confusion among the sandwich workers on whether or not you can also have the half sandwich option. However if you endure thru all that you will be rewarded with one hell of a tasty sandwich!
I opted for the Transplanted New Yorker on wheat. Came with a ton of very tasty meats (I think salami, capicola, and another I can’t remember), a spicy cajun sauce, avocado, red onions, lettuce and real sliced avocado. IT WAS SO DAMNED GOOD!!!
Bread was soft, meat was high quality (antibiotic free, cage free, vegetarian fed… You get the idea) perfect ratio of sauce, meat, and veggies!
I will def stop back if I’m ever in DIA again.

Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli was one of the few appetizing-​looking restaurants open late (almost 10 pm) in Terminal B of Denver International Airport. It is located toward the end where the highest number gates are.
I got the hot pastrami sandwich. It came with a pickle and a tiny cup of potato salad I picked for the side. The sandwich was tasty and huge. It came out fast but there was no line. The employees were friendly but looked tired (which is perfectly understandable at 10 pm on a Friday night).
The sandwich was fairly-​priced for the airport standards.
I’d eat here again since the other option was New Belgium Hub (a sit-​down restaurant).

Pretty good for airport food! The place looks questionable, but the ingredients are fresh, and the bread is happily fluffy and substantial.
I got the Cajun chicken and it is delicious! They don’t skimp on avocado either. And its fresh avocado, not some weird sauce/​dressing.
If you’re not a big eater, you can order #11 for a half sandwich and soup or salad combo. You can pick from any sandwich — great deal! The portions are quite big so a half sandwich is more than enough for me and now I can enjoy some soup too.

Standard airport procedures. Food slightly above average.
Service: Really couldn’t understand what the waiter was asking because he kept mumbling. Kind of shuffled you along the assembly line.
Food: Got the cajun avocado turkey as recommended by Unilocal and have to say that it was better than the average. First of all, the portions were huge. I only ate half of the sandwich and was already falling into a food coma. Perfect for that long flight. The cajun was quite spicy and really had a kick, to which I enjoyed. The turkey was soft and the bread was good. Thought the whole sandwich came together quite well. The only complaint is that there wasn’t enough avocado. A thin layer was spread across the bottom bread and I could barely taste it.
Bonus: Long lines if you’re lucky. Cool menu display screens.

Decent option even though it’s the only one.
There’s not much in upper gates of Terminal B and if you’re hungry, Heidi’s is your only choice. Good thing it’s good.
The lines can be long as the demand is high and the supply low. I waited 10 minutes for a hot pastrami @ $ 8.05. Rolled onto my flight and devoured the sandwich. It was good. The team behind the counter was friendly and eager to fix me up.
