I had a great experience, the server Ryan was so nice and helpful and had great suggestions. The food came out in a timely manner and tasted so good! The booty call roll was the best by far and the lobster was cooked perfectly. The orgasm roll was a bit messy(server did tell us this), the only thing that was wrong with the roll was the rice was hard and chewy. Over all had a great lunch and we will be back!

We enjoyed our evening at Hapa. Our server upstairs, Ryan C was absolutely wonderful, friendly and very attentive. He introduced himself, looked at our IDs(for drinks) and then remembered our names for our whole stay. He went above and beyond, even personally packing my leftover food to make sure the guacamole wouldn’t turn brown. HH prices are very good and the food is always delicious. Ryan is a wonderful server!

Sushi was very good and fairly priced. Also very good was the katsu curry — esp. after dressing it with Sriracha. Waiters were prompt and water cups were always full(sign of a restaurant that pays attention to important details). Good ambience. Will def go back.

Happy Hour certainly made me happy! Our bellies are full from delicious sushi, tuna nachos, cocktails and more. We’re just in town for a few days and Hapa was suggested by friends. A winner, for sure!

Good Sushi, a lot of California Roll combination tho on the menu, would prefer to see more fusion rolls and less dressed up California rolls. So variety is limited unless you like California rolls 7 different ways til Sunday.

Fantastic place. Great sushi and sashimi I am always told! I am a vegan and they go out of their way to accommodate me. Everything is always terrific. Great ambience, friendly staff, EXCELLENT sake and Whiskey selections. If you know your whiskeys you will find yourself in for a treat! Check it out! Worth the stop!

I honestly probably wouldn’t go here during normal hours and pay full price for the sushi. It’s ok, but for the price there is definitely better around Denver. However, during happy hour, a good portion of the menu is half off. We got two plates of sashimi, the carpaccio, tuna nachos, and some yellowtail for under $ 40 so it was a great deal. The quality isn’t great, but it’s definitely good for the price. I would check them out during happy hour and make your decision on whether or not you would want to pay full price for the sushi here.

Still my favorite sushi restaurant & a must stop every time we are in Denver. Trendy/modern atmosphere in a nice location if you’re interested in checking out the downtown area. Happy hour is the way to go, half of appetizers & lots of drink specials. Never been disappointed with any of the food or the service. Love this place! Highlights: Hamachi Spicy tuna nachos Multiple orgasm roll

Had some amazing sushi and service tonight! Ryan was our waiter, he was pleasant and had great suggestions for the first timers. Miso soup and seaweed salad were tasty. We had the Multiple Orgasm Roll based on reviews, it’s deep fried goodness! The Firecracker was good and the Glasshouse was my favorite. We had the suggested Sake from Ryan, he’s good! Definitely give this place a try!

Came to this location on Friday and it was extremely busy, not what I’m use to when I go to the DTC location. I can’t remember the wait but he was horrible and was so involved with the table of 10 ladies in the corner up stairs, that my party of 6 was continuously ignored. When he did come over and take our order the food was wrong and or wasn’t how we ordered it! We asked for HOT Special sauce that you use for a lot of your cooked rolls(orgasm) and it was cold and when asked if it could be warmed was extremely rude. Definitely, will NOT be back to this location.

We chose Hapa to celebrate our friend’s 30th birthday. Two stories, two sushi bars and an extensive sake menu with tasting flight options. If you are a Parks and Recreation fan, the best comparison to this place is Essence(Tom’s choice for his«bachelor party» night). Our friend ordered raspberry sake and it arrived in a flooded box on a plate. Instructions from our hip server: «Drink it out of the box, then pour what’s left on the plate into the box and drink that.» Is this the real life Essence? Will we be enjoying our next round via whisky hand lotion? I had the super yummy hot house sake. There was also an art sculpture projecting hologram images onto his hip fan(out of his laser eye). Swear to god, I’m not high — these are real things at the restaurant. We were a little shocked and we live in anything goes Hollywood, California. The sushi was pretty good(we are a little biased/spoiled living in Los Angeles). Loved the sexuality of the roll names including; XXX, Triple Climax, Multiple Orgasm and many more sexy options. I much appreciate a raw menu focused around sex. Bravo. Didn’t see a fish bowl with condoms on the way out… Something to consider when you get all of your patrons hot and bothered and liquored up. Definitely a great choice for a non-judgy, fun group looking for something different. Easy to get a reservation last minute and wasn’t too busy on a Saturday night.

Monkey brain was fantastic! Ordered the bulgogi as well.awesome. Forgot the servers name, but she was one of the best. Could put her in a Michelin rated restaurant in a heart beat. Laid back atmosphere.

Lunch at Hapa with my family started off great. Our server was outgoing and gave excellent suggestions for the rolls. The sushi came out and it was delicious. I didn’t love the names of the rolls as they all have a sexual connotation, but I didn’t think too much of it. However, what did put a bad taste in my mouth was when we were closing out the bill. I was using cash to pay and happened to have several ones in my hand. My server asked me if I had just finished a shift at the strip club from the night before. It was very inappropriate, and a server should NEVER say that to a customer, let alone really anyone. Additionally, my parents were in shock that someone would say such a thing to their daughter. Even though the sushi was delightful, there are many other good sushi places out there where the servers are respectful. I will not be returning to Hapa.

Great food and great service. This is my 3rd time here. This time I’m here with my family and it’s kinda awkward to order because the sushi rolls have names like orgasm roll, multiple orgasm roll, climax roll etc…

Hip/trendy spot but too loud for my liking. This place gets an «A» for presentation of sushi but a «C» for taste. I had the spicy salmon, yellow tail roll, and miso soup. The spicy salmon was very basic, almost forgettable; yellow tail roll had the texture of tuna fish. Edamame was not for me, but the miso soup was very flavorful. Overall an «ok» spot to dine but not my number 1 pick for sushi.

Great sushi and a very large sake selection. Happy hour deals are also awesome. I’d give a fifth star but service was so slow. It took 20 minutes for drinks to arrive, and I had ordered a cocktail off the menu and the drink was made wrong(I was informed there was a new bartender). Also my waiter forgot to put a drink on my bill and came back with a second bill after I had paid out and was about to leave. I’ll definitely try again though.

I only go to Hapa for happy hour, because the price-to-value ratio is fantastic. They cut prices in half & offer great food/sushi on the cheap. I LOVE the spicy tuna nachos, which you can order for just $ 8.50(they’re meant to share). Another great deal is the«2 Rolls for $ 7.50,» which is a great deal! The reason this place falls short on starts is due to overall taste and quality. Sure, I love coming here for happy hour specials with friends, but that’s it. Hapa cannot compare to a sushi place like Matsuhisa or Sushi Den, but it does a great job at slashing prices for happy hour.

I visited Denver for a week and decided to try other sushi restaurants downtown. I’m a big fan of Sushi Den but wanted to try other places. I was with my daughter and we ordered salmon nigiri, scallop nigiri, and a couple more rolls. We were so hungry, she ordered udon while I had a small miso soup. Everything tasted so so good. Why a 2 star? I got sick at the end of the day. I had a severe stomach ache and felt weak. That was the only thing I ate that day aside from having my morning coffee. I’m sure one of those raw fish or the scallops got me. My daughter had a slight upset stomach but did not feel that sick. I really wanted to give this restaurant a 5 star. The service was excellent and the server was pleasant and attentive. The restaurant interiors was done right and lighting is just right. I’m sorry guys, I had to give you 2 stars.

Sushi was delicious. All of the Unique sushi rolls are named after sex positions or crazy things. They also have the typical sushi rolls. The Firecracker was my favorite: shrimp tempura with spicy tuna on the top.

My review is for my happy hour experience only – which was super happy! We were able to be seated at their tiny little patio area, which is great for people watching. We ordered a bunch of sushi(we’d just walked 6 miles to get there), some poke, and a couple other happy hour specials. And lots of water. Our food arrived in a decently timely manner. Maybe a hair on the slow side, but it’s worth the wait for some tasty foods. Our eyes proved to be far larger than our stomachs, and we had to take some of the sushi to go. We didn’t get any guff from the server, so that’s cool. But the poke was so fresh and tasty, the sushi was great, and they kept the ginger coming. Thanks for that. At the prices they charge, I could allllmost afford to eat here for happy hour – to the brim of my throat – three times a week. On my salary, that’s not bad at all. Cheap, to(most) of you out there not working for tips. Yeah, in a way, Hapa could be seen, and maybe should be seen, as Japanese fusion – heavy on the Japanese, light on the fusion. Their rolls are unconventional, but there’s really something on the menu for everyone. I’m definitely coming here again, and probably up to the one in Boulder, too. I used to work around the corner from that one, which is why I wanted to come to the Denver bound Hapa as well. Lived up to my expectation. Hapa/Happy

Un lugar pequeño pero con sabor y alma japonesa. No de lo mejor pero de muy buena calidad. Imperdible el hamapeno Roll es de hamachi con Jalapeño o el spider Roll de cangrejo de concha suave. Muy rico todo.
