Govinda’s was THE vegetarian restaurant in Denver before vegetarianism was trendy. As such, it is an iconic part of Denver history. Opened initially in 1990. New management since 2013, as Govinda’s Garden Café with a fresh new remodel, colorful front mural, and amazing new vegan and vegetarian menus. Come, be nourished.

About Nandini: For over 30 years, I have been practicing a healthy lifestyle that includes Ayurvedic and vegetarian cooking. I studied Ayurvedic cooking techniques India in the late 90’s and the art of higher conscious cooking as a meditation and the importance of creating a spiritual atmosphere of while preparing food with love and devotion (Bhakti yoga). This way of cooking and eating food in goodness creates a healthy body, peaceful mind and consciousness. Over the years, I’ve developed recipes and a style of Ayurvedic cooking with an International flare, with my emphasis on organic and vegan healthy recipes. I launched two successful vegetarian restaurants: Kalachandji’s in Dallas, Texas, which still today is rated as one of the best restaurants in Dallas! In 2002, I opened Veggie Garden Café in San Juan Puerto Rico, still the rave! In 2011 I sold this restaurant in 2011 relocated to Colorado and in Oct. 2013 opened Govinda’s Garden Café.
