History

Established in 2008.

The history of the business started with Maureen MacArthur owning salons for United Airlines. Exclusive to the airline employees, I owned one in Denver, Chicago and Dulles. I needed a change and landed on Colfax wanting to bring this unique idea to the public. Why not be able to shop and get your nails done. This location kept coming back to me with availability and I finally was so persuaded I decided to go for it. Although everyone I knew thought I was crazy… Colfax really Maureen. I soon knew that this would be home for the rest of my business life. The neighborhood, women, and all of the clients have made me feel so welcomed and supported. I have now closed, or sold all three of the United Salons, and centered all of my energy to the Colfax location. i can’t believe how happy I am and my heart and soul are at File-​n-​Style. Thank you to all clients for the support and love you have shown me in the last two years. We have succeeded in this recession because of you!

Maureen is the owner of File-​n-​Style. I bring 18 years of experience to the table, the nail table of course. I believe that each service, whether waxing, airbrush tanning, or a nail service should be a friendly, pampering, and personalized experience. I believe sanitation is number #1 and take every precaution available to insure customer satisfaction and sanitation regulations are followed. I believe in preserving the natural nail, even when doing acrylics, by using hand filling and never using a drill on the natural nail bed. To many people have been hurt getting there nails done and I believe in making this a good experience that you look forward to. I specialize in Pink & Whites and have been doing this technique for 18 years, although some think this is a new technique it has been happening for that long. When it comes to pedicures we all want a great massage and I guarantee a 5 – 7 minute massage on each foot and leg. My standards are high, and you deserve it!
