Credit Union of Colorado

I have been a member of this bank for more than two years now. The customer support is very slow. You’ll be on the phone the whole day just so you could get answers to a couple of questions from customer support not to mention they close early on a Saturday and they are unavailable on a Sunday. The people working at this bank are pretty much the same and they live up to the attitude «I work at a credit union and that I should not be overworked or in fact I am only entitled to be under-​worked». This bank only has a couple of locations so to transfer a check I had to do a significant amount of drive. Apart from that this bank does not support its customers at all they rather take the side of other businesses. Out of all the years I have been with this bank I called in a fraudulent withdrawal and after showing them all the bills and receipts from a company. They put the money back in. This money was then taken out again and I was told that was because the other company had online receipts. How are their receipts more authoritative than mine? In short they told me to take this case to the small claims court. Which I did and I got y money back. My friend had the same problem and chase simply told the other side to take their client to small claims. The point I am trying to make is other banks are serious about business and take care of their customers. Don’t expect that from Credit union of colorado. If you are the guy that just has some basic banking needs stay away from this BANK. Btw the picture of the bank that is displayed has its atm broken down 30% of time.

Horrible customer service. I informed the woman I had just moved from out of state. She proceeded to run a credit report then informed me that I needed proof of residency. I showed her a copy of my lease, but she wanted me to go into my office to print it out then come back. I live 20 minutes away. She should’ve asked for proof of residency before pulling my credit score, as now I have a needless credit pull which impacts my credit score negatively.

I LOVE going to a bank where the tellers remember my name and greet me before I even get to their window. They are a great place to bank-​hassle free and easy to contact, if need be.

My wife and I have been members since 1989, and we would not dream of banking anywhere else. You have to realize that we have lived in the Portland, Oregon area since 1997. Everyone one the phone is very easy to talk to, and these folks always help us to understand what is happening or help us to solve whatever it is we need fixing. Yes, banking by mail is not always easy, but we feel like our money is safe in this well run organization.

I keep telling my friends who are still with for-​profit banks — join a credit union! You can’t go wrong! They’re non-​profit banks, with services in YOUR interest!

What can I say? I have used this Credit Union for 15 years or so along side a variety of banks for mortgages etc, and I have absolutely gritted my teeth whenever I had to use any organization that wasn’t the credit union.
One of the things I appreciate the most about the institution is that almost every transaction is goes through immediately. If I deposit $ 500, it’s available then and there and shows up in my account with having to wait 3 – 5 business to process unlike SSOOOOO many other banks that I’ve had the misfortune of trying.
The credit union has grown into a full service organization and dropped it’s original «State Employee» requirement for membership and I encourage everybody to check them out.

Financial services institutions don’t usually register on my radar. I never learned the value of a dollar and have a tendency to spend all my hard earned cash on candy and music (not really but that’s what my mom thinks)
i have no business belonging to a credit union for colorado state employees, but thanks to their policy of opening accounts for family of members, i have my accounts here after a CF at TCF Bank,(wow now I know what the TCF stands for… Total Cluster F*)
so back to CSECU. they are friendly and helpful and i really love the fact that if a debit comes through just before my check gets deposited they have waived the bounced item fee. not only that their fee is only $ 20 as compared to $ 39 at TCF. I know that I shouldn’t be bouncing ANYTHING, but sometimes the candy is too tempting or I just have to get the newest Suicide Commando bonus CD.
