The Rooftop was a good business decision by the Rockies owners, but too bad they don’t invest that money into their players! Anyway, most people go to the rooftop to either a). drink b). drink and casually watch the sadness which is now Rockies baseball, c). drink and get wasted, d). drink and people watch, e) drink and watch the sunset. Did you catch the common denominator? If you answered drinking, you are correct! So yeah pretty much everyone who goes up there enjoys a beer or four. I’m happy because at least they have a good selection of microbrews and nice views, so yeah I also go there to drink(and to forget how bad the Rockies are these days). The thing I hate is that when people drink this much they get louder, so if you are in the general vicinity of the Rooftop, you’ll likely hear more loud bros than sitting in most sections of the park. I guess you should all be used the bro behavior if you spend anytime in the Lodo area, so just prepare yourself mentally to deal with their antics.

Love the idea and concept of this«in Ballpark Strip mall» of extortionate bars and arrogant rows of sponsored canvas pavilions, watching the game on high def TV screens, because it’s too crowded to see the game live from the terrace. But when the wind is blowing, the damsel’s scatter for cover, leaving me virtually alone with breathtaking views of the game, sunset and once again… that horrible score.

Amazing views of the City skyline & the mountains, excellent bars throughout the stadium & people watching for days… what more could you ask for? We spent a lovely Tuesday night watching the Rockies lose(boo) however we made the most of our comp seats by sounding money at many food and beverage places! We had the delicious chocolate dipped cheesecake on a stick which was outstanding! The frozen bananas & strawberries dipped in chocolate and on a stick was perfection. We ate churros & drank Rio margaritas & Tuaca at the Tuaca Terrace. You cannot find anything better to do in Denver on a summer eve than going to a Rockies game. Eddie our usher in section 141 was outstanding.

Get here as soon as the gates open because they have $ 3 beer until first pitch. That is by far the best deal I have ever seen when it comes to beer at Ball Games. You can stay and watch the game here regardless of where your tickets are located. My advice would be to buy the cheapest seat and just go to the Rooftop Bar and catch a ballgame and drink beer for a great deal!

I would say that most people are up there to just drink and talk not to watch the ballgame. Therefore if you are an avid baseball fan like I am then you will probably get annoyed with it. If you don’t get a spot overlooking(standing all night to keep it) the field, you have to go to General Admission in 310 to 314, which are not good seats either. However if you want to just show up and drink at a ballgame without really watching it then this is the place for you. I doubt that we will go back up there, but I have been to around 80 plus games at Coorsfield and wanted to experience every part of the park, so I got that accomplished.

What a good way to utilize the space that was never sat in before! I love the roof top. It’s a great place to chill out and watch the game, or just to socialize if baseball isn’t your thing. Seating is first come first serve and last night we were lucky enough to snag a table to enjoy our Rio margs. Only complaint is I wish they had more seating and the margs are more expensive at this Rio than any other Rio. I will be back many a night this summer!

There’s no better way to spend a summer night other than at a baseball game in some nice weather. The rooftop is great because it’s just a free standing area with Rio margaritas– how can you say no! Other than the fact that I end up entirely too intoxicated every time I go, it’s such a fun time. The margaritas are $ 9 which is a little pricey but it’s a stadium so of course everything is overpriced. Oh Denver, how I love thee.

Cool experience for someone who likes going to baseball games but isn’t a sports fanatic! I came up here on a Tuesday and while it wasn’t packed there was a solid amount of people so I can imagine the chaos on weekends. The view is amazing and fortunately my group was able to snag a spot right against the railing. You can see the entire field, no blind spots or tall people in front of you blocking your view. I’d love to sit, well stand actually here again, likely on another week day.

This is a great place to go and drink while watching the game, tickets here are cheap making it a desirable location to be during the game. If you’re actually interested in watching the game this is definitely not the place for you. You don’t get a great view of the stadium unless you get there earlier and get a place right on the railing.

A pretty great spot to watch a game from the cheap seats, with some of the best sunset views if you’re there for an evening game. Its worth checking out, especially if you’re not dead set on getting seats close to the action.

Yeah, I’m giving five stars just for the view! I prefer to get as close to the top and as close to the edge as possible. That way you can see for like, ever! This addition to Coors Field is what makes our city so great. Where else can you be so high and still enjoy a local Colorado beer? There’s a full bar. Nuf said. Ok but really the bar is huge and it has many levels. So, you get a cool view no matter where you are. They have a beer special that goes right up until game time so it’s a good idea to arrive early and snag a spot and some cheap brew. But, there’s so much room to move around you could just float by and check out all the nooks and crannies. Even folks who don’t drink can enjoy the awesome view from this bar. It’s well worth the hike all the way up into the sky. If nothing else I say take a look just to say that you did. It’s a unique feature to Coors Field which adds to the charm. How cool are we?

Great view of the entire ballpark & the mountains! Plus $ 3 Coors from gate open until first pitch is a great deal in my book, better than the usual $ 7 – 8 one would normally spend! Plus tickets are only $ 15 and come with $ 6 concessions credit on them, so a great place to get your pre-game on before cheering on the Rockies!

I know the talk of the town is the Rooftop at Coors Field, but can I just say I am not that into you Rooftop? I mean, nobody sat in those seats in right field and as purely a business venture I get the whole — let’s put a giant party deck up! However, it just isn’t my scene. Call me crazy, but I come the ballpark to watch the game(as substandard as it is). Standing at a railing and looking into the outfield doesn’t cut it for me. Giant bars with loud music, drunk frat dudes that are packed in shoulder to shoulder with people doing everything, but watch the game ain’t for me. I will say it does make good use of seats that sat empty. You also do get a great view of the mountains. I get it isn’t my thing, but everyone else’s. Go see it, maybe you will enjoy!

I’m obviously not the demographic they’re going for over here. The music is blaring so loud you can’t hear each other talk and there was really nowhere to sit. Not to mention the multitudes of people milling about. But a good concept for seats that they never sell.

Man is this place cool! The new rooftop bar is standing room only(or grab a stool if you can) and tickets are reasonably priced. Here you can take in the best views of the mountains and a great view of the field. There is a full bar and they cabanas in the back for a comfortable shaded oasis. One room for improvement I see is expanding the lobby area by the elevator. It is much smaller than the lobbies on the other floors and it gets pretty congested.

This is such a cash cow! The management is so smart to convert this area to a rooftop bar. The prices here are the same as other areas, but it increases the social aspect of baseball because everyone just gathers around to hang out. There is also a great atmosphere up at the rooftop bar and an amazing view. It also helped to hide out here when there was a tornado warning rolling the day of the baseball game !

Very smart change up to Coors Field! This is still so new that it is absolutely packed but grab a beer from one of the cart vendors, the right group of people, and wait in line. The bar staff at the Rio on the Rocks was extremely friendly even with the orders flying in. The line looks intimidating but because the staff is so efficient and quick in making their drinks, we didn’t really have to wait that long. Great price for a RIO Margarita at Coors Field!

I actually visited the Rooftop on Opening Day — so you must first acknowledge that it took forever to get a drink and it was packed like an airport concourse. BUT it was Opening Day — so I’ll assume all that will work out during the season. The actual bar area is a homerun. It’s the perfect solution if you’re more interested in the atmosphere of a Rockies game than keeping your full attention on it. The price is very affordable and a nice option from the rockpile. The bar is made up of two service areas and several walking paths between the different areas. There are a few long tables to sit at around the bar areas as well as cabanas(for rent?) The Rio Grande is on the level directly below here. That bar does have ticketed seating BTW. I’d probably make sure to get seats away from the bar and closer to the field to avoid the bros. The atmosphere is fun, exciting, and casual. The views are also pretty great. Just don’t expect a place to sit. I’ll definitely be watching many games from here in the future.

This is a new addition to the Coors Field, and I came on day two of it being open. There is definitely room for improvement in the service, but it’s a cool young atmosphere where you can catch the games with your friends last minute for $ 15. You get a $ 6 coupon with your ticket too, which the teller reported that it doesn’t work all the time. Two of our three tickets didn’t work. This is standing room only though and gets a little packed, so it’s not for families, diehard fans, or someone who can’t stand for 3 hours. It takes about 20 minutes to get a drink, so this is something that i would like to see changed.
