History

Established in 1987.

Benny’s is a neighborhood place that was established in 1987 by a man named Benny. The restaurant started in a small establishment in cap hill people came and loved the green chili, burritos, margaritas, chips and salsa so Benny decided to open a larger establishment, a place went on the market right in time and right around the corner so Benny purchased it and decided to grow his business, Which is now Bennys restaurant and tequila bar at 301 E 7th Ave. Benny has been serving the same authentic Mexican cuisine throughout the years since 1987, so when you come in often you will see similar faces each time those are our loyal Bennys costumers that have been coming in since 1987. Bennys restaurant has grown since then and is continuing to grow. So come on in and give us a try.

Meet the Business Owner

Benny A.

Business Owner

Benny, a veteran of numerous kitchens around town (he got his start as a dishwasher at the Blue Bonnet), finally opened a place he could call his own in 1987, when it won Best Taco. In the 25 years since, Benny has expanded Benny’s numerous times, finally moving to a spot at 301 East Seventh Avenue, where Benny’s Restaurant & Tequila Bar still packs them in today, serving pitchers of potent margs and some of the town’s hottest green chile — another Colorado classic.
