BARK! Doggie Daycare + Hotel + Spa

I have been taking my pup Claire Bear to Bark! pretty much since the day they opened a couple years ago. Mark me down as a satisfied customer — I cannot recommend this place enough! I am their next door neighbor so I originally tried them out for convenience but I have remained a consistent customer because I have been so impressed with the care my pup receives on a weekly basis. The entire staff knows Claire by name and she gets outrageously excited and happy every time I take her to Bark! Also, when I’m having a rough day in the office, I can pull up their webcams online and see Claire having the time of her life which brightens my whole day.
Their staff is friendly and extremely compassionate. As neighbors, I often interact with their staff even on days when I am not utilizing their services. Occasionally their staff will be performing duties outside of the building when I am taking Claire out in my backyard. They always say hi to her and are great neighbors in general.
I felt compelled to share a story that happened yesterday to demonstrate the compassion Bark! employees have for the well-​being and happiness of all dogs. After I picked up Claire from Bark! when I got off work, I returned home to discover that a frightened dog with no collar was hiding in a crawl space under my house. I did not know what to do so I walked over to Bark! and asked an employee for advice. That employee had no obligation to help me, but did so out of their compassion for the stray animal. The Bark! employee helped me attach a leash to the animal and retrieved it out of the crawl space. The employee later informed me that they were able to somehow locate the dog’s owner who had been searching for their lost dog! I am so happy they were able to assist and facilitate that reunion. This employee went above and beyond their job duties. This is the type of care and compassion that you can expect to receive from employees at Bark!

Bark is amazing! I take my high energy boxer there at least twice a week, and they take SUCH good care of her. I used to take her to a different daycare and shed come home scared or theyd put her in a kennel all day. She loves all of the bark staff and gets so excited when we pull down the street. They take SUCH amazing care of her and if anyrhing ever happens while shes there they call me right away to let me know. Staff is so knowledgable and friendly! Shes very reactive because shes a rescue and they are working so well with her to get over her reactiveness and seperation anxiety i can already see a differencr. Love this place.

Spoke to a gentleman named David on the phone last week very polite will seriously consider bringing my dog here over the summer. They are very attached to me so I feel like bark would give them the attention and love they need. I’ve spoken to other daycares and bark gave me a better feeling about leaving my babies there, by providing me with answers to all my questions. Great customer service.

We visited from out of state and brought our dog on vacation with us. There were a couple of days that we didn’t want to leave her alone all day so we brought her to Bark! I have worked in vet clinics as well as doggie daycares & boarding facilities and I was thoroughly impressed even just walking through the door! The staff is very friendly and inviting, the facility was clean and organized, and the selection of things that you could buy in the lobby were great! For what you pay, expect your pup to have a blast while you can rest easy that they are in good, caring hands. My dog received a little pampering while shew as there too and she came out looking and smelling wonderful. Bark really does have everything I could ask for for my dog when I cannot be there with her. I also really enjoyed the puppy postcard from her stay as well as being able to check in on her with the cameras. I very highly recommend this place

Our extremely high-​energy lab mix, Jed, absolutely loves Bark! We go every Friday and he is always exhausted and happy when I bring him home. I love how much Bark! cleans, the fact that the lobby doesn’t smell like a doggy daycare, how attentive the staff is to all of the animals, AND, most importantly, the fact that they have cameras so you can verify all of the above with your own eyes! I used to work in a less-​than-​satisfactory doggy daycare so I am extremely wary of leaving our precious pup with strangers, but Bark! is just the best. I wouldn’t take Jed anywhere else.

Pretty sure my dog pick up Giardia here. My vet told me to let Bark know since it is contagious. No apologies from Bark and haven’t seen any emails letting customers know that his parasite is going around. «We’ll have to do a little extra cleaning» doesn’t reassure me enough to bring her back.

Our 1 year old dog went to Bark! for the first time yesterday. His «girlfriend» goes there every week and her owner speaks highly of the daycare and training.
I was SO impressed. Bark! has live cameras and emailed a «report card» and pictures of our dog after we left. Our dog is Very energetic to say the least. They said they had to help him learn how to greet other dogs so that they didn’t feel threatened. Our dog doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, but I have found that he runs up to any dog very excited and ready to play. I was grateful that they had taught him some doggy social skills.
He is going next week! The staff was so friendly and seemed to really enjoy and care about him and the other dogs.

Im updating this review after boarding my doggies during the holidays. I was concerned about the dogs being in boarding, but after their stay this holiday I would definitely board them with Bark! again. The check in process was super through, they were excited to see the dogs, and the daily postcards were wonderful.
I missed my dogs, but felt much better that they were being so well cared for while we were gone.

I love Bark! They have always been super responsive and accommodating. We’ve been bringing our dog here for over 4 years, and they have really helped to socialize our pup with others… Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. If I can’t be with my dog, they are the next best thing!

I never worry for one minute when my two Cavaliers are in the care of the wonderful staff a BARK. I know they are well cared for and my dogs love to go there, they can’t wait to get in the door once I have parked the car.

*I’m editing this to increase it one star as the owner recently called me to apologize for our bad experience and explained that they have some new staff now and a new staff training program. She was very genuine and sincere, and I am hopeful that this organization is turing things around for Denver pups!*
We took our 1-​year-​old bulldog here a couple of times because he is not kennel trained and we wanted him to stay in a more open environment that he would be more comfortable in. When we arrived to pick him up the last time, we saw on the TVs that he was in the daycare room with about 20 other dogs, but he was IN A CAGE. When I asked the front desk staff member if he did something wrong and why he was in a cage, she said he did great, but since they knew we were coming to pick him up and the other dogs were being put to bed, they didn’t want him pushing to get through to the overnight rooms «because you know, that’s what bulldogs do.» So, this was clearly a stereotype of the breed and had nothing to do with how my dog actually acts. Then, when they let him out of the cage so he could come home with us, being that he had never been in a cage before that, he was a bit freaked out and didn’t really trust them when they let him out, so he wasn’t coming to them when they called. So, one of the staff members ran over to him and threw a slip-​knot rope around his neck and PULLED him out of the room. Any knowledgeable pet owner/​sitter knows that you do not do this with bully breeds due to their tracheas. after watching this whole thing, we were mortified and will NEVER bring our dog back there. To add to that, we had bought him a special chewy treat before we left at their store front and asked them to give it to him at night so he would have something to do and they forgot to give it to him. They also forgot to give us back his extra food.

Our puppy Maggie has been going to bark once or twice a week since we brought her home. She LOVES it. Everyone is very friendly and she has the best time with the other dogs. We’ve become those people that check on her via webcam during the day, and we especially appreciate that they have a room designated for puppies.

Love this place. I was in Denver for just a few months this summer for a job and Bark was a god send. First of all they were super accommodating in getting my pup in for an evaluation and in making sure that he was taken care of when in their care (not a simple task with his complex diet and daily eye drops). Bark staff would send me pictures when I was gone for long weekends and the they were always friendly and welcoming when we would come in. It is rare that my dog is okay with me leaving him behind, but here he always loved going to play with the other dogs and sometime even more excited to go play with the staff. Aside from Bark totally exceeding every expectation as far as a doggy daycare facility goes, they provide a super advanced online system where you can check up on all aspects of your dogs stay as well (for example: has he been fed, given medicine, went for walk etc). Finally, Bark even provided a bordatella shot when they saw that my pup was due for one. Everything about this place just blew me out of the water and if We are ever back in Denver My dog will 100% be back.

This place has always been there for me when I needed to drop my pup off at the last minute. Obviously you need to make reservations as early as possible during any holiday weeks. The prices are a little high but all the other places I checked into were just as high and didn’t have the same standards. I like the fact that my dog plays all day is not kenneled for a long period of time except during the night. In regards to the expensive overnight boarding fee, daycare is included. I never used the daycare services alone because I live too far from Bark to just drop my pup off for a few hours. She usually stays overnight because it’s more convenient. My pup seems very happily exhausted when I pick her up. She gets very excited when I turn off 5^th and began to pull into that alley behind Bark. This is the place for my pup for sure. Just please don’t hike the prices up any time soon.

Melissa, Laura, Jess and the whole staff are great! I have 2 dogs, neither of which are the easiest to care for. They both have fairly complex feeding schedules, one takes daily medications & the other needs brushing every day.
They’ve implemented some new systems and not only can I see my pups at any time over webcams, I get a daily report card for both of my dogs sent straight to my phone. The report card gives me info on when they got fed/​how much they ate, whether medications were given, and some pictures/​videos of them having a blast.
You can make reservations online… no need to call them and wait on hold forever.
They have a nice retail section w/​reasonable prices.

We love Bark! Other boarding options do not include daycare as part of the cost– we love that when our dog boards at Bark, she is also getting to interact with the staff and other dogs during the day. We have been boarding her for three years now at Bark, and the staff continues to care for our dog wonderfully each time. They are happy to give me updates on how she is doing when I call and were even able to extend her boarding on one occasion when we were snowed in and unable to pick her up. John, one of the staff members there, always remembers who our dog which makes us feel invested in as a customer. Our dog is older, 12 years old, and they have even been able to accommodate letting her spend «down time» in her suite during the day. I would completely recommend Bark Doggie Daycare to anyone who wants that elevated, clean, and happy service for their dog with a staff that truly cares and interacts with each dog there.
Only downside– price is higher than others, but with the combined boarding + daycare and the attention given it does seem worth it in the end!

I would give this place a higher rating but the problem is they don’t do daycare on Sunday, they only board. Which is ridiculous! Sunday is a pivotal day for people that work Monday through Friday. Wish I knew ahead of time so my day trip wasn’t ruined. They may wanna rethink that no Sunday thing if they want my businesses

We left our dog at Bark! Doggie Daycare over Christmas this year and they underfed her the entire time, and have neglected to call us back to discuss our concerns.
When leaving your dog at Bark, they ask that you leave their food in a container with feeding instructions clearly marked. When we got our pup back, her food container was much more full than we expected, and we found a few baggies of food in her returned bag of things. These bags of food were ¼−½ a cup less than the instructed amount of food per meal, and after confirming with staff that these bags were her meal rations, it turns out our dog was being underfed by ½−1 cup of food per day. For a dog that only needs 2 ¾ cups of food per day, that’s a huge amount of food to leave out of each meal. She weighed 5lbs less when she came home. We called to talk to a manager about it, and were told that we would be called back to further discuss the issue. This was well over a week ago with no word back.
In addition, it turns out that someone else’s tshirt was put in her kennel during her stay (mainly an issue because she tends to enjoy eating tshirts), and we paid for grooming and a nail trim only to have her come home with nails still capable of scratching wood floors and HUGE mats of hair behind her ears. These issues wouldn’t be enough to warrant a terrible review, but these combined with the underfeeding means we will absolutely never take our dog there again.

My dog loves coming here. I trust everyone and they all seem to really love the animals they look after. I’ve boarded my dog several times, a few short trips and one ten day trip. The ten day trip was a little hard on my pooch, but he recovered. It is hard to find a place that is capable of handling extremely high energy dogs and Bark is great at it! My go-​to day care and boarding facility. Take your dog there immediately, my dog would love to meet him/​her. :)

Bark! is a great place! The staff and owner are amazing people. They take great care of my pups along with everyone else’s pups. They called me right away when they noticed my baby girl wasn’t feeling well and wasn’t acting like herself. They Actually take the time to know the dogs and love them. I would never take my dogs anywhere else!
