Badger’s Pub

This is a tiny little dive bar tucked away on S. Broadway. Came here for happy hour on a Wednesday and it was pretty dead. No biggie since sometimes I like to get away from the hustle and bustle. They have good happy hour prices ($ 3 wells and beer) and you’re allowed to bring in food from outside establishments. Our bartender was very friendly and provided great service. I’ll be back for sure.

One of the best dive bars. Love the staff and the other patrons (for the most part). It is certainly worth checking out if you are in the area ! Great Packers bar!

Bartender was rude, bouncer was drunk. If you want to be insulted head on over to this lump of coal that will never turn into a diamond.

This place is great! It is a blast when you go for a game. Stopped in for one to watch the Pack and I stayed for the whole game.
The wait staff is really fun and they have a blast with the patrons.

The good –the staff, and the juke box. Juke boxes are hard to find in this day in agein bars, and that is why we usually come here. They also have an adult and non adult video games unit on the bar, the Penthouse Girls– what does not match in the picture– is fun to play in teams, while you drink and hang. There is a whole PC section of games without boobs, that is cheaper to play, but the seedy one is more interesting.
The bad-​It seems like every time we are here, or least every other, I am trying to keep some townies from getting in a fight with my peeps. Usually this is a result of trying to play pool.
Tip– If we keep to the front of the bar, it is chill experience, with great bartenders, and the jukebox. The father we get into the bowls of Badgers– the darker the experience becomes. Really there are some douche bags that gravitate to that pool table. you may want to play elsewhere.

If the bad beer selection and rude bar staff wasn’t bad enough, Badger’s allowed a dog to sit in the entryway and when he inevitably shit on the rug it took ages for someone to clean it. I would not return and I am from Wisconsin…

Awesome bar. No snootyness at all. went there last night and the bar tenders were super great. drinks cheap and a very lively atmosphere. Best dive on south broad.

We were out on South Broadway with some friends and found ourselves in front of Badger’s. We went in and it was filled with mostly college age 20-something’s. The place was pretty busy but we found seats at the bar. The bartenders were awesome. They were so busy but helped us immediately and were very nice. They were funny and helpful. The bar has a fun vibe, I would definately come back here.

This place is exactly how it looks a dive sports bar. We drop by every once and a while with great cheap drinks and just hanging out. Do not give high expectations stick with beer and simple mixed drinks.

Came to this place tonight for a couple drinks on our way down Broadway and the bartender was awesome he had us cracking up and the drinks were actually reasonably priced. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is that the place is kind of small and it was super packed most likely because of the holiday. I’ll for sure be back tho!

For such a small space right in the middle of Broadway it’s easy to pass this place by. But once inside it’s a cozy bar to get slapp ass drunk and for cheap! There is not the widest selection of beers but you can still get the old classics such as PBR and your Coors/​Bud Light variety.
More times than none this is a happenin’ place on the weekends but the clientele is your general Denver crowd — looking to have a good time not out to cause problems. Gotta love the drink to get drunk peeps. I guess that’s why I go here… cuz I’m one of them.
The bartenders are efficient and polite. How they do that with all the crazies out and about is beyond me but they do it! Props.

The word special can be used in many different ways, but Badgers Lounge has really capitalized on the meaning and taken it to the extreme. If the bar industry had an Olympics, BL would take home the bronze, silver, and gold in extreme specializing. Every day ending in y features a clever offer on alcohol, in fact, I’m sure if there was an 8^th day of the week, they would actually pay you to drink. The specials are utterly ridiculous (great on the wallet, horrible for the liver) and you wonder how a bar can make money giving away the farm, but then you remember you’re drinking for an amount that you could probably wrestle up from the bottom of your purse, and you stop wondering.
The crowd is a little funky but who doesn’t love being taken to funky town?

Seriously, their drink specials speak for themselves:
Monday: Buy $ 12 in drinks at get a free pizza
Tuesday: $ 2 drafts and $ 3 you call-​its
Wednesday: All you can drink draft wells for $ 10
Thursday: 9:00pm — 10:00pm Sneak-​a-​Leak (drink for free until someone pees)
Friday: Free PBR with a purchase of a $ 3 Jäger Bomb or Washington Apple
Saturday: Honey badger night — women drink for free from 9:00pm — midnight!
Sunday: Happy hour all day
Um, I’m no economist, but me thinks this could be the best deal in all of the western United States of America. #winning!

Badger’s Pub is way, way, way cleaner than I thought it would be. I kind of expected my shoes to stick to the ground and to not really want to sit on any surface inside the bar based on the place’s history and outside appearance. Happily that wasn’t the case for me.
There’s nothing too crazy special about Badger’s except the drink specials (more on that in a minute). It’s basically an open area with TVs, a jukebox, some high top tables, and a pool table in the back. An easy spot for hanging out with friends and a super casual environment. What they do excel at is helping you drink for cheap, or even free. Everyday has a different special from «Honey Badger Night» (Saturdays) where ladies drink free from 9 pm — midnight to things everyone can enjoy such as buy a Jäger or Washington Apple shot for $ 3 and get a free PBR (Fridays). That’s a good deal no matter which way you cut it and especially on the weekends.

This is an awesome little bar to watch sports and drink 2.50 cocktails on a Saturday afternoon :-) The bartender Jermaine is awesome too!

I’ve been meaning to get on over to Badger’s for ages, and on a whim to visit Broadway, Lisa H and I finally made it!
Badger’s claims to be a Wisconsin bar, and from the décor of all WI sports teams and the previous reviews, this is indeed accurate. However, being from WI, it didn’t *feel* like an authentic WI bar. I was missing (as in lacking, not longing for!) the country music or bad classic rock (the juke box can always remedy that situation). I was missing the ubiquitous and necessary mounted animal (deer and/​or muskies are acceptable) on the walls. Oh, and I can’t forget the lack of a fish fry and cheese curds. But those details are just technicalities from a Wisconsinite.
Badger’s has some excellent potential: awesome bar staff, cheap drinks, interesting and fun clientele, and location. I certainly had a blast here playing pool, dancing with the one guy who was swinging his hips as he walked in, and downing an Irish car bomb.
Keep up the good work Badger’s! I look forward to our next meeting.

3.5 Stars The cider is gone :(, they don’t even have any available off the tap. The ‘badger honey’ beer is Shock Top Wheat, but the place still has great drink specials and a Unilocal check in deal.
Would be nice if there was a cider option, in a can or bottle! There is plenty of PBR (on tap and in a can), Hamms, Old Style, etc. Are these beers really more popular than Strongbow or Woodchuck? How about giving Glider a try? Or any other local tasty brews?
The service is still rockin, and there was a weird fun crowd on a Saturday night. They played the music a little too loud to talk, but it was still fun for a few drinks and I am sure we will return.

Went to watch football at Badgers Pub because I live on Broadway. It used to be Old Brown Barrel which was a super dingy dive bar that only excepted cash. So this is a big improvement. They have cheap pitcher of beer and plenty of TVs.
They did a good job with the remodel. The place is nothing fancy but the bartender was super nice and pretty cheap beers! I will be back Badgers Pub.

The Old Brown Barrel, where did you go? I guess out with old in with new! The same guys from Pub on Penn and Pub on Pearl came in here and put a new coat of paint on the walls, added couple new TV’s and a brought in new juke box and now we have badgers. Not bad in my opinion, nothing special, but nothing that would be offensive to the regulars. The drinks were cheap, the clientele was friendly and the service was spectacular. I liked the Brown Barrel, but I’m definitely not averse to having some new blood in the place.
When I went to Badger’s they just opened the previous week and hadn’t actually had their official grand opening yet. This didn’t hurt me at all since my friends and I got a couple free rounds of shots and a couple free drinks. This obviously always puts a smile on my face! I will definitely be coming back and strongly urge anyone else to head on over. Good times will be had!!!
