Went to Applebees in Glendale last night for date night. The menu has really improved since I’ve been there, and oir server was amazing. Ismael deserves a raise.

I’m giving this a star only because it’s required and the poor bartender had to deal with two obnoxious, lying, rude waiter and waitress! We were told we couldn’t order burgers, only salads?! And then, told we can sit at the bar, but not a bar table?! The great bartender was confused why we were told we couldn’t sit at a table in the bar area, only up at the bar and kindly told us to have a seat where we would like. After being told by our horrible make waitress that we couldn’t order burgers and the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes, we thought it was very alarming and inconsiderate. We get our appetizers and before we leave, 2 gentleman at the bar receive two burgers. Plenty of people want jobs and if you are going to half ass yours, go sit your lazy ass at home!

Decided to try kids night out, not the best experience. Wait staff seemed a bit slow, and uninterested. On the positive side the balloonist went above and beyond, even creating ballon bacon which was amazing! The food was what to expected for the price.

Rolled into this place after a concert. Food was typical Applebee’s. It was good. The service is what I’m giving the five stars. Our waitress Molly was excellent. We were in just before closing and she still treated us great. She even brewed us a fresh pot of coffee. I would definatly eat there again if I was back in town.

Service was ok but slow. But the food is over priced and not that great. I have Gotten better food at a dive bar. I got the fried shrimp and a side of fruit. The shrimp was over cooked and The fruit bowl was a joke a couple of strawberry’s big pieces of pineapple and green sour apples and the core wasn’t removed. So I probably won’t return. Waist of time and waist of money.

The food at every Applebee’s is the same –pretty good, but the service at this one is HORRIBLE!!! We went in last night because we wanted quick half off apps. Little did we know they changed their menu, which is fine… but when our waitress didn’t show up at our table for 15 minutes and we used their little touch screen ordering tablets instead, it didn’t even give us their new 3 apps for $ 12.50 price. It was charging us $ 17! When she FINALLY came over there was nothing she could do to adjust the price because our order was pretty much already made in the kitchen and apparently portion sizes are different for that deal. Then we asked for the free margarita because nobody offered one to us(there is a sign that clearly states: «If we don’t suggest a perfect margarita or strawberry quencher lemondade, it’s free!»)Well our«waitress» did not like this and stared at us like we were idiots for a few seconds. She didn’t even believe us that no one offered one. As if it’s or fault she was a crappy waitress! So basically our quick little dinner turned into a 1.5 hour shitshow. We left a $ 2 tip, which is probably generous considering our experience, and got the heck out. Annoying.

I always come back to this Applebee’s they have great staff, great atmosphere, nice locale, the food is always good and is across the street from the hotel I stay, what else can I ask for.

At the risk of sounding like a snob ;), we eat at local, non-chain places 90%+ of the time. This Applebee’s location is very close to our house and we overlooked it, never went, until recently when we won an Applebee’s card. Wow! I was very impressed by the clean and fun and kid-friendly atmosphere, and great kid menu options. The waitress we had was so attentive, professional, and friendly. The manager came to congratulate us on winning the gift card(I’d called into a radio station) and chatted with us a bit, very personable and really cared about his restaurant. He/they recently partnered with a local brewery and serve these CO brewed beers on tap… can’t beat that! I was very impressed by every minute in here, as was my husband!

Been there a couple of times now for both lunch time and dinner. Did notice that the service is quicker during lunch time. Also bring a jacket since if you get cold easily because they have the A/c on full blast

I give 1 star ONLY… very bad service. Me and my boyfriend has been sitting 20 minute. Not even 1 server stop by at our table. And we order appetizer from tablet at table… and we call server from tablet… and finally 1 server stop by.

Had a great time with my friends last night! Great price for the Brewtus Long Island Iced Tea. Only 3.75 and delicious. It was Karaōke night and it was pretty amusing watching people go up and sing. Food was cheap(½ off apps) and waitress was very polite. Best Applebees I have been to by far. :)

The service is so bad I don’t even go here anymore. They must have HORRIBLE management, because the service is the WORSTSERVICE I’ve EVEREXPERIENCED! There food is good, but good luck getting a re-fill on anything, and don’t even ask for xtra salad dressing you’d be wasting your breath! If your interested in having a drink(water or beverage) to accompany your meal try a different location!

Good, chain restaurant, frozen prepared food. Our waiter was phenomenal, and you know I am a stickler for good service.

So hit and miss. Sometimes the food is good. Sometimes its bad. Last night was bad. Chicken tenders tasted frozen. Chicken breast overcooked. Rice crunchy. Chains now dont have real cooks. They have reheaters. The service was great. Maybe go to Chilis next time. The manager Matt called me. He was very gracious and apologetic. Said that usually doesn’t happen. He is sending us an e mail certificate. Maybe was an off night. Will go back.

I have always liked Applebee’s, but this particular location I have mixed reviews about. When you walk in, it feels like its going out of business, i dont know why, but it seems dead. One time we were seated, we didnt get a waiter right away we waited like 5 minutes, & we were starving, the Manager didnt even notice; then another time, I couldnt order Alcohol because I wasnt sitting in the bar area, I didnt understand that either!!! Sometimes this particular location, feels like there is no air, its kinda of humid, inside. The Food is average, the service is poor to average. I like to see the nice reviews on here, & thats great, but I personally havent been impressed for awhile, I think they will go out of business pretty soon. sad to say…

Great place when you want to have late night Happy Hour at an inexpensive price. Had the special Margarita and my friend ordered a chardonnay. I really like the spinach and artichoke dip. Also had the pretzels which were good. Convenient location with plenty of free parking and the staff was friendly and efficient.

Mediocre, pricey drinks, average food. Often feels like there’s more managers hovering over the bar than patrons & staff. They’re super uptight about every drop poured. Makes for an all around awkward experience. Went in there recently on a Sunday night and they were doing karaōke. Normally karaōke can be fun, but this was terrible — the DJ was cheesy, beyond description. Just awful. Most of the«singers» were from the Highlands Ranch AppleBee’s, so it felt like it was just a party for the employees. You had to feel bad for anyone walking in there expecting a quiet meal while watching some SportsCenter. At one point the DJ asks excitedly«can you believe this is happening at AppleBee’s!?» No. no I couldn’t. I finished my drink and found solace elsewhere.

Well. Where to start? We didn’t have to wait, so that was good. Or was it? Thankfully we got a booth. Our waitress came and got the drinks, but was in such a hurry that we didn’t get the appetizer ordered. No problem, but we were thinking of doing the 2 for $ 20 deal. We ended up deciding to not do the 2 for $ 20 because we wanted to try the Green Chili Cheese Fries topped with local football &ESPN radio personality Mark Schlereth’s own green chili recipe that is advertised all over. I’ve been wanting to try it and when I saw they had it topping some cheese fries, I thought… wow perfectly gross, delicious, and absolutely a must-try. BUT, again we were going to do the 2 for $ 20 deal and it wasn’t part of that. So, we picked our own separate entrees. Our waitress came back with our drinks, but again was off so fast that even though we were waiting for her, we couldn’t get the appetizer order in. Once she finally made it back to us, the 3rd time we’d seen her, we ordered the appetizer. But, she informed us that they didn’t have any of the green chili at the moment. Bummer! So we said, ok, come back in a sec, we are going to do the 2 for $ 20 deal and need to pick out what we want. Off she goes. We picked all the new items from the selections on the menu, and here comes our waitress back again and tells us that actually they do have some green chili, it just got in. GREAT!!! but we are going to do the 2 for $ 20, until she says that she just put the order in. Ok, now we have to go back to what we ordered originally. It quite possibly was one of the most difficult ordering processes I’ve ever had to mess with. However, she was polite, quick, and actually laughably loud. The appetizer came. Great!(See picture) Well it was great, except that there was hardly any green chili on the fries at all. They were WAY over salted/spiced and half of them were crunchy and hard. Sigh. The best part of them was the small bits with the actual green chili on them. Otherwise no thanks. Entrees came, and were average. Nothing great, nothing bad. Drinks were always filled. The manager stopped by to ask us how everything was. I couldn’t bring myself to complain directly to him. It would have been too long of a story, and I wasn’t out to get free food or mess with that. There is no way I’ll ever go back. Period. Ever. There are WAY too many other good restaurants in the area at about the same cost.

Applebee’s is Applebee’s. I kind of put Applebee’s, Friday’s, Denny’s maybe any chain restaurant that ends in an apostrophe s in the same category. they’re not spectacular, but they’re not bad. my friend and i stopped in here cause we are both on weight watchers and know that applebee’s has WW approved entrees. wow, was i disappointed. they had only 3 ww options. either applebee’s in general has paired down their menu or this particular location was ww unfriendly. i had with me a dining out companion(ww points book) and i was desperately pouring over the menu trying to find something i could enjoy that wouldn’t break my piggy bank(aka ww bank). ;) i asked daniel s, our waiter, a question about the lunch v dinner portions and he didn’t know, but actually went to look it up for me. what’s more, he came back with a paper print out of their ENTIREMENU with nutritional info! i swear, a beam from heaven came down and shined on him. i was SO thankful. i ended up ordering a bbq bacon cheeseburger & french fries and only eating ½ of it(i was craving something bad, and if you only eat ½ of it, it’s not too terrible). when daniel brought it out, he brought me a box(as to not be tempted to eat the whole thing) WHAT A SWEETEHEART! when i decided not to keep the other half for later — the craving had passed — his manager came by to check in and pre-bus our table. i told him i changed my mind about taking it home and asked if he could toss it. when daniel came back to check on us, he confessed to having seen his manager in the back and he nearly jumped him cause he thought he took it in error. AWE!!! the staff in general is kind, courteous and professional. this was such a great experience and i’ll definitely be back in the future.
