2020 Lawrence

I’ve lived at 2020 for about a year now. over that time, living here has been nothing but a positive experience. The ladies in the leasing office are very approachable and will try their best to accommodate you in any way they can. The building is very clean and well maintained. The people who live here (from who I’ve met) all seem to be very nice and respectable. The location you really can’t beat if your willing to get immersed into the downtown lifestyle. I’ve visited many different apartment complexes in Denver through friends and can honestly tell you this is one of the best.

I’ve been living in 2020 Lawrence now for 2+ years, & love it here! This apartment complex is clearly doing something right, because I keep choosing to renew my lease.
I disagree with some of the comments in the prior reviews. Yes, there has been some turnover since I first moved in here, but that’s because the property is now stabilized. The change in staff does not directly correlate to poor property management. Personally, I’ve always received topnotch service from the 2020 team. If I ever have any sort of «issue» or any miscellaneous questions, I simply reach out to management via email for assistance. Management usually responds within one business day (if not the same day).
If I ever have any sort of service request, I can submit my issue online through the 2020 website portal. All of my issues are typically resolved within 24 hours (i.e. clogged shower drain, new light bulb, etc.). The service team is always friendly, and they go out of their way to help. Another example — one of the treadmills in the gym stopped functioning a couple months ago, & the 2020 team was quick to respond & have it fixed. Also, the service team cleans the rooftop hot tub every morning (which is comforting).
I value the importance of great apartment management, as it is the foundation to happy residents. I’ve lived in other apartment complexes (cough, The Metro, cough) & I’m still blown away by how terrible the management team was. Here, the 2020 team organizes 2 to 4 resident events every month. I’ve attended wine tastings, beer tastings, rooftop BBQ’s, potluck dinner parties, etc. It’s nice to have social gatherings with other residents (& indulge in free food & alcohol!).
Since it’s prohibited for management to share demographic info due to the Fair Housing Act, I’ll provide some insight. Although there are some outliers, I get the sense that 2020 residents are primarily young professionals (ages 23 to 40). You’re not going to see 20-​somethings throwing huge parties here. Don’t get me wrong, residents are more than welcome to have friends over for BBQ’s & drinks of the roof, but you don’t ever see parties getting «out of control.» It’s also difficult for strangers to gain access to the rooftop — you need to have a resident key with you in order to unlock the rooftop door.
A large majority of the residents are friendly & respectful. The residents here do not abuse the common areas or amenities. Since living here for 2+ years, I’ve only experienced loud noise in my unit just once. The resident above me was playing music at around 11:00 PM on a Wednesday night, & he had his bass cranked up so high that it was vibrating my bedroom wall. I simply went upstairs & asked him to turn his bass down, & he was cool about it. Honestly, I sometimes wonder if anyone else lives here because it is so quiet!
If you’re still reading by now, you probably get the drift that I enjoy living here. My primary piece of advice to future residents is to reach out to management if you are upset about anything. The 2020 team is down to earth, & willing to work with you to rectify questions/​problems.

Over the last 6 – 9 months any original office staff has left and aside from one person the maintenance staff has left as well. That said, the sense of urgency, time to resolution and overall communication of the staff has suffered greatly. My feeling is that Zocalo put the best of the best on site for management, leasing and service when the building was built but ever since its completion they’ve siphoned off personnel to handle other facilities and backfilled with less capable employees. My original review of the building is no longer valid. If you’re looking for a community with an attention to detail worthy of the lofty rental costs in the Denver area, this may not be the place for you. I’m eagerly anticipating the end of my lease so that I may find a new place to call home.

I have been at 2020 Lawrence for 5 months now. I have never before experienced so many problems in such short period of time living in a complex: a homeless intruder walking into my apartment while I was watching TV in the living room, garage door not working for several weeks, random people living here full time without a lease («guests»), and multiple police interventions to name a few. We chose this complex because of its location and we are paying very high rent, but the management is completely unappreciative of our business. By the way, the management changed 3 times in the last 5 months. When we reported a person living here full time as someone’s «visitor» and who was verbally abusive to my girlfriend at the dog park (located at the rooftop of the complex), we have been told that it’s something that’s «hard to prove», so for weeks they didn’t do anything about it (I had to escalate it to the real estate director). It looks like customer service means absolutely nothing to this company, it’s not uncommon for the management to impose horrendous fines on residents for minor violations too. My recommendation is: stay away from this place!

Would review other complexes before this one.

We’ve lived here for 1.5 years and are happy with the staff all the way around. The office staff is friendly and very approachable about any little thing you need. The maintenance staff (Shawn, Juve, Justin) will go and have gone out of their way to assist you beyond keeping the building clean and up to par. There is a family/​community environment among those that have been here as as long as we have.
Great amenities and rooftop!

I have lived here for a few months and I absolutely love this place. The management and leasing staff is awesome. I purchased a few of my own fixtures to dress my place up a little more and the maintenance staff has jumped on getting my stuff installed. I feel that there are a lot of working professionals and everyone really cares for the place where we live. The staff hosts lots of community event sand happy Hours, I feel that they really care that their residents are happy with where we live. I sell real estate and rent out my home. This is the best place I could find when I was making this move and I was really picky.

I’ve lived at 2020 Lawrence for nearly a year — I moved in soon after their occupancy permit was granted. The building was attractive to me for several reasons: location, dog friendly, smoke free, the Green initiatives, and the space for the dollar per square foot. After living there a year I can attest that all those things are true — you wouldn’t believe how low my monthly energy bill is! Bark’s & Rec — the rooftop dog run is amazing, and of course the location can’t be beat.
What I didn’t know upon my move in date was how committed they were to building a true community. The community manager, the leasing agents, the service manager & staff are some of the most friendly and genuine people I’ve encountered. The entire group promotes a true community within our walls and are huge proponent of the LoDo area. I couldn’t ask for a better community to live within in downtown Denver and am equally as happy with the building, its amenities and its value!

I have been meaning write this review for quite some time and I am finally doing it. I wanted to because anyone looking to rent needs to know what a great place 2020 Lawrence is to live. For the past 25 years with the exception of maybe 6 years, I have been a renter so I have a lot of experience and a lot to compare with. This is by far the best place I have ever rented an apartment from. ever! I was the very first one to pre-​lease months before they even opened the building and waited a month or so more for the top floor to be released before moving in. I have lived here for almost a year now and I have been nothing but impressed by everything I have experienced while living here.
The leasing professionals Madelyn and Jesse are super friendly and will go out of their way to help you with anything you need. They are always smiling and saying hello to everyone who comes in an out of the building making sure whoever is in the building belongs there. It makes me feel safe to know that they try and at least recognize the faces of those coming and going. From picking up a package that has been delivered for you or asking a question about anything they are always more than willing to help.
The property manager Christina and assistant manager Emily are both incredible and will go out of there way to make sure whatever you need or want is taken care of. I am not just saying that! I have experienced this personally on several occasions. Every email is replied to promptly and they are both so friendly, sweet and very approachable which is important to me. The maintenance crew is also awesome! Sean and Juve have been here since they opened. I haven’t had any major problems with my unit but with anything I have noticed or suggested around the building they are both always very approachable also and get right to it.
The amenities in this building are amazing! The units themselves have the nicest of finishes and I really like the look of the units inside. My floor plan is the best! The roof top gym where I spend a lot of time is fantastic! All the equipment is brand new, state of the art and very well maintained. The maintenance and management are always walking around through the gym, rooftop and entire building looking for anything that needs to be addressed. I witness this myself being done on a weekly basis at least. I feel very safe using the gym and rooftop 24 hours a day as they have cameras to monitor those spaces. The cameras as previous reviewers complained about are NOT about treating us like children, they are NOT «peeping toms» or «big brother» at all! If you are following the rules you agreed to and are completely aware of there is no reason for them to pull you aside and discuss what they had observed. The cameras as I seem them being used are to protect the building and the equipment that the management has provided. They also can monitor all common areas for any problems which makes me feel more comfortable living here overall.
I moved here for many reasons but two main ones being the location is very close to my work and it is a smoke free building! I have lived in a smoke free building before and it wasn’t enforced and it was very frustrating. They DO enforce it here and I appreciate that more than they could ever know. Do not live here if you smoke or have friends who smoke that you intend to have visiting you. Smoke free is smoke free people! I also chose to live here because I had heard a lot about other buildings in this area have a much younger «party type» clientele living there. I am a 42 year old professional woman who does like to have fun but I like to have peace and quiet when I am at home, get a good nights sleep, live in a clean well maintained building and don’t want to see puke or dog waste in the elevators or halls. That does NOT happen here! If you want to live in a place where all your friends come over after the bars close to continue the partying this building is NOT the place for you to live. They do request that you only have two guests at a time with you in the common areas which is completely understandable. What is good about that is that those of us who are actually paying rent here are able to use the grill and hot tub or whatever if we wanted instead of it being crowded with a bunch of people who don’t even live here.
Wow. that was a lot to say but I really wanted to try and share my honest personal experience living here and address what’s been said in some of the previous not so good reviews as a lot of what was said was just plain out lies. It made me so mad to read what some people had said when a lot of them are just not true!
2020 Lawrence is a very nice place to live and I plan on being here a very very long time. I am most definitely renewing my lease for many years to come! Come check 2020 Lawrence out. You won’t be disappointed!!!
