Dr. Rodney Chowning has practiced comprehensive implant and restorative dentistry in Denton, Texas since 1995. With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Chowning’s expertise focuses on all phases of aesthetics and implant dentistry (surgical & prosthetics) with a special emphasis on sedation dentistry.

Dr. Chowning is a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Chowning is a member of the American Dental Association, The Texas Dental Association, The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, The Denton County Dental Society.

Dr. Chowning earned his B.A. degree from Baylor University and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio. During his academic career he earned several NIH/​NIDR academic research grants and clinical externships and was on the dean’s list. He completed a mini residency in advanced dental anesthesia and sedation at the University of Alabama Birmingham Denta
