We are the only area bakery that offers desserts made without high fructose corn syrup, chemicals, enhancers or preservatives and all from-scratch — from cake batter to cheesecake crust. Special Occasions are our specialty. All goodies are made fresh to your order.
History
Established in 2008.
Shea’s Bakery was started in 2008 by a motivated 14 year old girl who turned her passion for baking and community service into a business. Since then, Shea has won several awards, including Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2013, nationally. The bakery has been awarded The Knot’s Best of Weddings, Yelp’s Best Bakery, Talk of The Town, and more. Every item from Shea’s Bakery is made with love using only high-quality ingredients. Goods and 10% of proceeds are donated to charity. Taste the love!
Meet the Business Owner

Shea was 14 years old when she started Shea’s Bakery as a way to follow her passion for baking and giving back to her community. Throughout high school, Shea kept growing the bakery with help from her mom, Lesley, a professional writer who worked with Shea in the bakery most nights and weekends. In 2010, Shea was named Young Woman Entrepreneur of the Year by the National Association of Women Business Owners, and in 2013, she was named Entrepreneur of the Year nationally, an award she received from the National Federation of Independent Businesses at a special ceremony held in Washington D.C. Shea currently attends Washington University in St. Louis Missouri, where she is a Dean’s scholar, Entrepreneurship scholar, and recipient of the Enterprise scholarship, among others. Shea opened her second business, a bulk candy shop, on the school’s campus in January 2015. Shea still works alongside our wonderful chefs and decorators in the bakery’s kitchen when she is in Florida.
